  1. I don't mind the pick, its not a guy who is gonna score touchdowns but he will help protect our investment at QB. The question to me is what did Jerry want in the trade. Buckner was still on the board but the Ravens generally go by the best player available mantra. I like the fact that they are working from the trenches out.
Now that they have filled a need in the trenches lets get some help on that defense. CB, Pass Rusher, ILB are still glaring needs the first will be harder to fill now that 1st round had a big run on them. So I'm expecting us to take a ILB or Pass Rusher if we stay at 36.

  2. Jack could be a great pickup at 36, I don't think there is a highly rated CB to take at 36. If Jack isn't there trade down to see if you can pickup some extra picks from a QB starved team (Bears and Chiefs). That being said if we trade down I wouldn't mind taking Jaylon Smith in 3rd. He's a excellent player that will produce after a red shirt year.

In the 4th rd cornerbacks like Cyrus Jones and Keivarae Russell could be developmental picks. I want to see Ozzie work this draft because in Ozzie I Trust.

  3. I think the wildcard in the top 5 will be Dallas. They are certainly out of the QB hunt but Jerry's Drugs wants Elliot. I'm not sure they are gonna go for another CB/S type with Byron Jones being drafted last year. Hoping Jerry locks Stephen Jones in bathroom, takes a sip of whatever he usually is on and helps us!

  4. I guess that was a argument worth having Urschel or Jensen could be our new starting LG next season. I'm wondering if they will draft a wr with one of those 4's? I would be happy to see Sterling Shepard or Braxton Miller in that 3rd-4th rd range. They both just flat out made plays in college. Shepard with the playmaking ability, route running, and size reminds me of a young Steve Smith. Miller reminds me of a faster Anquan Boldin. We can not continue to count on Campanaro, Butler and Brown(not to discredit Butler/Brown contributions) But we need to groom one of these guys at least a year with Steve Smith to understand what a successful NFL wr is. Mike Wallace is pretty much on a one year trial, Perriman will be a rookie on the field, and Aiken did well when everyone went down.

  5. This was really good news we can either stay where we are and take the best player or "if" qb slips to 6 the 49ers or Eagles will be lurkin in the weeds. Speakin of weed Les Snead and Jeff Fisher are on it. You trade away a multitude of picks to make a splash in the LA market for a qb prospect in Wentz or Goff that assimilate to be Christian Ponder type of prospects. I enjoy watching these teams over spend for these middle of the road qb prospects. This being said thank you God for this blessin we are gonna receive at #6 because someone likes to overpay for qb potential!

  6. If Jack, Ramsey, Buckner, and Bosa are gone then AND its not a trade in the works then yes. The front office said they wanted playmakers on the defensive side of the ball.

That being said this draft isn't really that great at the top. It isn't a consensus #1 the qb's that generally push down the other talent are more projects then anything. This draft for Ozzie, Decosta, and Hortiz will absolutely show what the front office is made of if they can make this chicken crap into chicken salad.

  7. If Jack and Ramsey are gone I'd like to see Hargreaves in a Ravens uniform. We need to stop with broken revolving door at CB. Having a playmaker to shut down half the field would be invaluable in this division. I would also go as far to say if the Ravens honestly are all in with Monroe at LT and don't see Spriggs as a viable replacements not the 2nd. Or Noah Spence as too much of a risk in the second. If he's still there I'd take Jaylon Smith in a absolute heartbeat at #36. Without injury he's a top 3 pick without question without injury. I believe he's a young man who will recover from this injury and be absolute beast.

  8. Espn Staff Writer- Vaughn McClure gave a outline of Courtney Upshaw's contract.
Upshaw signed just a one-year deal with the Falcons worth $1.25 million. Here is how the deal breaks down:

    Base salary: $760,000

    Signing bonus: $390,000

Roster bonus: $100,000 ($6,250 per game on 46-man roster)

Other: Up to $250,000 in incentives based on playing time (not likely to be earned)

So we might get that 3rd pick next year.
