1. It has already been said that Waller has bulked to play the TE position, but if anything he will be kept mainly for ST this season. 2. For Pitta, I don't think they waste time trying to put him on the PUP list. 3. If Elam was suspended we would have heard it from the team by now, so I doubt that's true. 4. One reason I think Forsett still makes the team is because without him we don't have a true veteran presence at the RB position. You would be left with a second year RB, rookie, and a RB believed to be immature in West. 5. Reynolds is actually working at being a returner. So if he picks it up fast enough that could be his way onto the roster. I don't even think he would make it to the PS, he would be picked up before that.

Yeah I've seen this already. From what I've seen he has completely turned things around. In an interview it talks about the first time he met with the coach at Portland State. The coach says the first thing Patrick said to him wasn't anything football related, but about how he knows that he put himself in a bad situation and how he let his family down.

I just read an article yesterday and that person seems to think that Correa will be used to take over the spot Upshaw left open.

So I take it the order that you have the players in is your starters and back ups... if so what makes you put Maxx over Gilmore?

Killebrew was already gone by the time we picked Lewis. The one video I did find on Onwuasor makes me think he might be able to do what is needed.

If he is willing to come up and play the run he could be a nice compliment to CJ Mosley.

There is also the other UDFA Patrick Onwuasor, he's listed as an ILB after playing Safety at Portland State and Arizona before that.

The knock on Richardson is that he can't seem to read the offensive line, so you can't put iffy offensive line play as a reason for him not being successful so far.

He can improve his functional strength which would help him go against the G. Sometimes him taking on that block and occupying the blocker allows the ILB to do his job better.

Well at a 3-4 DE he is still a 5tech (which is a DE in a 4-3 base set) the only difference is he has a OLB on the side of him.

We're a 3-4 Hybrid team, so we would play some 4-3 at times. That's how the team operates. Kaufusi was actually a 3-4 DE last year, where he finished second in run stoppage percentage and first in pass-rush productivity according to PFF. So he isn't being forced into a new scheme.

I was thinking about him being the one to take that spot also. I have high hopes for him in year two, he's been training since about a week after the SB. I agree he does play better as a 4-3 DE. I think it takes some players a little longer to get used to standing up. If that's what it is, then he should look a lot better as a OLB this season.

Okay, good on the Kaufusi part. I know we already use some 4-3, but I know some people want us to make it a full-time thing. I can understand why it would be used more, but don't completely get rid of the 3-4.

Kaufusi can stand up, but it's not something I want him doing full-time. Yes I agree about Correa, his film shows that he can play not only on the line of scrimmage with his hand in the dirt or standing up, but he can also play off the ball in a 4-3 set. I'm not sure if the team is ready for that set up on passing downs yet. Wouldn't you want Dumervil on the field?

I could see Correa dropping back in coverage, but Kaufusi will probably be playing 5tech DE.
