  1. do we get a 4th round pick if we trade down 1 spot????

if so i would trade down one spot and collect 4th rounders.

We would have to trade down two spots to land a 4th Rounder. I would rather draft an elite player if available vs. trading back. Ozzie has drafted Stanley, Mosley, Ngata, Suggs, J. Lewis, Travis Taylor (BUST), McAlister, Starks, Boulware, and Ogden with his picks in the top 17. Most of those guys were Pro Bowlers when it actually meant something.

The whiffs in early rounders has been atrocious, thankfully Mosley and Stanley will be great players. Elam, Brown, Maxx, Davis, KC, Perriman, some are already gone while others need to make a statement this year.

Maxx Williams was hurt all year. Hard to say he is a miss when he showed a lot of promise as a Rookie. Karl Davis is mainly a run stuffer. Perriman shows a lot of promise as a big play WR. I think he dominates fade routes/jump balls, and has the speed to take any play to the house. How we use him in year three will be the telling sign. All year I saw a coaching staff that had no clue how to utilize their roster to get the most out of each players skillset. That is the biggest problem IMO.

I think it's a strong possibility that with today's breaking news of Orr retiring, Ozzie will go for an ILB with his first pick. If there's something we've learned about Ozzie's team philosophy, it's that first of all you need a good D - and it starts with a rock solid center core - two great ILB's. Now there's a vacancy, and no clear replacement. Going for an ILB with the top pick would be a trademark Ozzie move - and looking back, they'll probably nail it - Ozzie was always good at identifying LB talent, and then the coaching staff has always been great at talent development at LB (the exact opposite of WR where the scouting dept seems to do a lousy job identifying good talent, and then the coaching studd seems unable to develop the young guns).

So, my guess is: an ILB with the first pick in April.

Ruben Foster becomes a possibility. We also need another CB bad. Same with game breaking RB. And beasts on the O-Line.

  4. I'm glad that someone pointed out the Carryover Cap situation. Ozzie has failed to use this rule to our benefit. We keep talking about how great our Offesive Linemen are yet the results of the field would say otherwise. If Yanda played well, Stanley played well, Wagner played well, Lewis played well, then how did we struggle in both the run and pass game? Zuttah wasn't great, but it doesn't all fall on him.

Imo we can upgrade 3 positions on the O-Line and will see improvements from doing so.

trade up 2nd round and grab McCaffrey! well still nice to dream bout it even tho its not happening

In what world do we need an undersized scat-back? I don't understand all these people saying to draft Cook outta FSU...now McCaffrey? We have 2, if not 3 solid backs already on our roster. We just have to actually, you know, run the ball. If we want to take a back in the later rounds for insurance, ok sure, but people are talking about blowing our 1st rounder on a RB...why? It makes 0 sense.

if we use a first or second on cook or Mac I'll lose my mind

Cook is a dominant RB with breakaway speed. Aka you don't need blocking and Cook can still take one to the house and score. Our offense needs more playmakers that make big plays Why wouldn't you want a stud RB and a new commitment to running the football? Dixon is a solid all around RB, but lacks the top end speed. IMO West is a big body who runs hard, but isn't starting caliber in the NFL. Go watch some Ray Rice videos and you will see that the RB position still needs vast improvement if we want to contend in the playoffs.
