  1. We lacked Secondary Depth and pass rush depth last year and that's why the defense was vulnerable at the end of the year. This defense is the most stacked it's been since 2008-2010. Only unproven commodity is the pass rush opposite Suggs. I'm very excited to see what they can do, but I'm also nervous as to how the offense will hold up their end of the bargain. Still has to be better than the Boller years right?

not disrespecting him at all. i hope he becomes a pro bowl caliber receiver but as i said it must be proven on the field and until that happens we have nothing on offense that teams fear

Maybe I'm drinking some purple cool but I saw everything I needed to see from a first year guy that got zero offseason work. He made 5 or 6 catches that only a handful of WRs can make. He showed speed and YAC potential. He improved throughout the season and got 500 yards while often being the 4th or 5th option. He played less than half offensive snaps ;)

I agree BP has tremendous upside and was poorly utilized.

  3. Take a breath,no one except New England wins the Super Bowl in May.Our Offense still is in the mourn-ing wig mode. Flacco needs a run tough 0-line that can make defenses think run on almost every snap so his play action deep throws can come back as good as when we(he) stopped using them because he was on his back too many times before&after mind numbing boring sam'ol,sam'ol ineffective running schemes.Mourn-ing wig is rather vanilla in his play calling schemes,a West Coast offense would be great,if we had a West Coast offense make up. 7-9 looking up at Steelers and Bengals on top. Patriots WIN!

This is how I feel about our offense, but the defense got a lot better over the offseason. And we no longer have Wright. We could have a terrible offense and still go 11-5 or 10-6. We have done it before.

So glad Ozzie and Co. will let us see the WR we have already saving a bunch of doe! The Ravens are not a rest haven for veterans! Dean Pees did good with our Defense last season #7 but bad play calling bad routes and Joe throwing lame ducks get our Defense over used and when they have one bad play we loose the game! Raiders jets and giant games I blame Joe and the play calling! Yup! Wanna be elite put the games away period point blank!

Put away the games, like scoring to go ahead in the last miniutes only to see the defense give up a late game winning drive leaving no time for a rebuttal drive? Like the Raiders game, like the Giants game, like the Steelers game, like the Redskin game, etc

Joe needs to play better and he will with an improved line and run game, he got better as the season went on which was encouraging. Camp doesn't stay healthy and has barely played, as it stands there is no possession WR on this team, I guess Pitta

Sorry, our Offense lost most of our games last year. The Defense won more than half of our wins. Look at the scores. We failed to score 20 points 7 different times. The number would be higher if it weren't for garbage time TD's against prevent defense.

That doesn't mean we shouldn't draft the best players and stack our defense. Flacco can't consistently win without a dominant defense or a stacked offense. Better to have one than none right?

Hmm... I watched the memphis tape for Bowser and I don't think he was effective at all. He couldn't shed blocks or get penetration and he didn't seem all that persistent on plays. But, again that;s just me watching him for the first time. I'm sure the Ravens front office has watched a ton of tape on this guy and know he's really good enough to warrant pick #47

I am sure they watched lots of tape on Arthur brown too. And Elam. I guess you dont know until they get out there and play, but I am extremely underwhelmed by most of the selections again this year. I am going to go out on a limb and say if Cleveland gets average line play and can find a QB who is adequate, we may finish last in the north.

Cleveland is going to be our main competition in a few years over Pitt. Pitt will fall off drastically when Ben Retires. Cincy will forever be that middle of the pack team with Marvin Lewis and their Ownership. They never spend on free agents and always have plenty of cap room to do so.

I feel like we have stacked our defense, but it is hard to see how our offense will be much better in 2017 unless we feed dixon. Our running game is bad, and our pass pro was a weakness due to the lack of balance. We never got anything done in the Redzone last year.

  6. This draft has been a home run so far. It is evidence that we want to get back to dominating on Defense to win football games. Tim Williams is an elite rush specialist who walks in and replace Doom. Bowser is an every down guy with great motor and the best athleticism and versatility at the OLB position in the 2017 class. Humphrey has all the traits you want in a CB and is highly competitive. Wormley was considered a 2nd Round guy and could play DE or DT depending on the situation. Throw in Tony Jefferson, Brandon Carr. WOA have fun with that Deen Pees.

Time to continue the streak with a great 4th and 5th Round!

"Other teams catching up"?.....Well its all about perspective. You can view it from the Eisenberg angle, and I'll view it from the CQ1 angle- or the ROFO angle (kudos from a member that said I should go root on a Royal Farm related team......that's a classic; for now I'll root on their chicken :)
Quite frankly, since Flacco's emergence into the league, the entire team chemistry has since quickly eroded. Until we can figure out all of the pieces- and, or weapons that are needed to seemingly nurture- or as I tend to see it, pacify him, from the fans point of view. As long as Joe continues to constantly check down, stare down and or stay in the pocket to long- other teams will continue to catch up. I cant wait to hear what the purple-fluff, excuses are going to be this year. Off to Rofo :)

Just curious. How did you feel about Joe when Lee Evans couldn't hang onto the ball in the endzone in the AFC Title Game against the Pats in 2011, when he lead them to great wins in the playoffs and the Ravens captured the ultimate prize, when the D could not hang onto a 14 point lead against the Pats in the playoffs, or when the D couldn't hang on vs the Steelers last year. Wow. That's what I call erosion. You must have loved Chris Redman, Elvis Grbak, and Kyle Boller.

Flacco played on some truly stacked teams. That's why he made the Playoffs 6 times and won a SB. We have overpaid for his talent and now we sit in a position where we can't always retain the guys we need to and we can't add the talent we need to on both sides of the ball in Free Agency. January Joe is a better QB, but don't forget who we lost since 2012. Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Ray Rice, Haloti Ngata, Boldin, Birk, KO, Pollard, Ellerbe, Corey Graham, Pernell McPhee, (Pitta's not the same), (Suggs is no longer in his prime). We need cap space to reload and stack the Roster. Flacco's greedy contracts take up too much Cap Space.

All we need now is a good quarterback. And going by ship for that game in GB is similar to staying in Calif for a week between games a few years back. We all saw how that went. You get in a plane, you get there quick. You get on a ship and you just float for days. Who is making these decisions?

Well... sorry to have to break it to you, but...

    1.) we already have a good QB - one that played rather poorly at stretches of last season - but not a bad QB by any measure;

2.) I'm afraid you've been fooled. That ship-thing was an April's fool prank.

Sorry to break it to YOU! No, the Ravens do NOT have a good QB. PJ's living quite famously off a wing and a prayer heave, botched by the safety. A lifetime QB rating of 84% for a ten year starter is AWFUL! You can see how bad Pathetic Joe and Self Righteous John have been since Lewis retired. You can make every excuse in the book you want for these two, but it doesn't change the facts.

I guess 24 TDs and 4 ints in the playoffs since 2010 isn't good. And blaming the best postseason of all time on one play is ridiculous. Did you forget about the special teams giving up 2 TDs in that game, or the other 10 TD passes Joe threw? How about the fact that he would've been in consecutive SBs if Lee Evans could catch? Qb rating doesn't take into account pass protection or playmakers, so that's not a valid argument. Look at our top receivers since Ray Lewis retired, and look how they play without Joe. In 2013, it was Torrey Smith and Marlon Brown. Torrey has done nothing in SF, and is Marlon even in the league anymore? In 2014, we got SSS, who only had about 700 yards in his final season in CAR, and he had over 1,000 yd s with Flacco, who was once again the best postseason qb, but our injury depleted secondary couldn't hold 2 14 point leads. In 2015, every skill player on offense got injured. Last year, we brought in Mike Wallace, who was not productive at all in Minn, but he also had a resurgent year with Joe. EVERY qb needs a good supporting cast to win.

People also forget how good Ray Rice was. It's a shame he was blackballed by the NFL and the Ravens.

"A lifetime rating of 84 is AWFUL."

Sorry to break it to you but numbers aren't everything. Jim Kelly's career rating was 84. Dan Marino's career rating was just 2 points higher at 86. Both of them are in the Hall of Fame.

In today's pass happy game an 84 QB rating is below average. Flacco has been a below average Regular season QB with stacked talent around him. He somehow always plays his best ball in January.

I still believe that we don't have the right offensive system for Flacco. It all started with the SB run where we somehow thought he would turn into Tom Brady because he had some stupid numbers in the 2012 postseason. We need a run heavy attack. Kubiak was awesome. We need someone like Kubiak or Shanahan to run our offense. Problem is, these guys get HC gigs fast.
