  1. Tavon Young played a great game. The 1st TD allowed was a tough assignment where we was in press coverage in the slot. The WR had way too much time to get open and Manning made a great throw. The last TD, Weddle took him out of the play accidentally. This kid was the only one not getting smoked every play. He was just on the unfortunate end of the two biggest plays. Keep your head up Tavon! Best cover corner we have outside of Jimmy Smith, who was a 1st Round pick and took years to develop.
  2. 1. Rookies don't typically come in and play well right away. (Tavon Young is rare) 2. Webb's deal can't be cut until next year due to cap hits. Joe is being paid starting QB market value for a guy with his skillet and experience, and resume. Jimmy Smith was playing well before he took a shot to the head. Clearly you didn't realize he missed the entire second half. 3. How many games have we had a two score lead in the 2nd half? That is where the pass rush truly gets going. Throw in the fact that the defense was on the field a ton due to the way officials called the 2nd quarter and they got tired. I would like to see them throw Correa in on rushing situations. 4. The Wright deal seems like an impulse decision IMO. He has tackled well outside in space, but clearly can't keep up with the quicker/faster WRs. I was screaming the whole game to put Tavon Young on Odell after Jimmy went down. I saw Will Davis get smoked by Odell a few times, and Wright was also a victim. 5. Our best WRs are old dudes because Ozzie is savvy enough to sign hungry vets who happen to be better football players. *They didn't mention it on TV, but on the second Odell TD, Weddle accidentally took out Young's knee on the play, which left Odell wide open. 4.3 speed did the rest. (Bad Break IMO).
  3. Quit crying. Flacco didn't lose that game. A few big plays on a banged up defense, terrible officiating, and a patchwork o-line dictated that game. Our offense showed much improvement outside of every 2nd and 20 or 3rd and 25 they had to face.
  4. Many of those calls were bogus bro. The players go out there and do what they do. I saw several terrible calls/missed calls that entire game. The only person who had a clue was the woman. Another week were we pass up on a FG and lose. I am beginning to believe that we ALWAYS take 3 points unless we are down multiple TDs late in the game. Marty: I can't be mad at Marty for that game plan or what we put together on the field. I saw much more crossing and vertical routes. Commitment to the running game for 4 quarters. Flacco also looked a lot more comfortable finding open WRs; even with out SR on the field. The 2nd/3rd quarters were dictated by tons of penalties that stalled our drives. With a patchwork o-line missing 3 starters, you would expect some of that. Add in what seemed to be an attempt to keep the game close by the Zebras in the 1st half and you don't get anything done. Overall: This game had more of the same, but also showed some promise of this team if we get healthy. Marty will also get a better feel of this offense the more he calls plays. ***Every team in the AFC North lost today. The Division is still for the taking, and we have a better shot of it with Marty than we did with Trestman. Our offense got better today. That is all that matters.
  5. Love it! when is Jack getting the call from Ozzie!!!
  6. This could be Correa's true debut. with Mosely and Doom out. Let's see what this kid brings to the table!
  7. Even with the injuries, we should dominate the trenches on both sides of the football. Lets play some smash-mouth football of old, and take shots deep. I bet we win 27-10. *The national media is so disconnected from Baltimore. You can tell these guys have no clue whats going on. Our defense will hold it down.
  8. If you search for some Marty soundbites you will find he is one of the more genuine honest men you will ever hear speak. Listen to one of his press conferences. Players love this guy for a reason.
  9. False. Every coach has their own scheme. You could leave Jimmy on the left side to hold it down without help, and put another CB and a safety on a dangerous WR like Odell. This game is much more complex than us fans even realize. Talking heads always make it seem simple, so they can relate to the public.
  10. Jimmy typically plays LCB but will move depending on the formation. Tavon Young will play RCB this week. Young outplayed Wright big time so far. Roll with the playmakers.
  11. We list guys on the injury report because we can. Doom conveniently was re-listed because he just came off an injury. It's all a game to distract the Giants expectations and to make them have to prepare for various personnel. If guys can't go it's the next man up. That's why Ozzie built so much depth on this team.
  12. Marty seems like a quirky guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IT7dVyoL1G8
  13. If you watch Trestman call a football game and then look at Marty's track record. That is something to be optimistic about.
  14. Don't forget to give credit to Tavon Young, Eric Weddle, and Zach Orr. And obviously Sizzle is back.
  15. Power Rankings are meaningless. BTW we are talking about playoff positioning in Week 5, but we have a very tough schedule after the bye. Lets go Marty!
  16. You must have a deformed funky lookin hand. LOL 7 fingers?
  17. I'm waiting for the "but they're paid millions" comment Football is a physical game, and these men have lives outside of work, including families. Every coach in the NFL would give their players Monday off to rest and be with their family. This has been going on for a long time too.
  18. No. The issue has always been offensive identity. We haven't had one since Kubiak. After reading more about Marty, I believe Ozzie had a backup plan if Trestman didn't work out. I have never watched an offensive performance so poor, when we averaged 6.2 yards per carry and never trailed by more than 6 points.
  19. You know who caught everything in traffic last year? Aiken. Maybe we need to go Smith/Aiken. Don't forget Kamar also runs a 4.45.
  20. So should we Run 19 times and drop back 50 when we are averaging 6+ yards per carry? Anything will be an improvement from Trestman. Trust me.
  21. Will we stop throwing the football 45 times a game and running just 20 times a game? Will we stop running horrible route trees and designed plays where the WR caches the ball within 0-5 yards? These would be improvements. As bad as we played, our defense almost won that game single handedly. So happy we are giving someone else a shot to call plays!
  22. Marc Trestman did not play Raven's football. I am happy that Washington's bad defense helped expose this issue. Maybe our offense can help our defense again.
