I have waited 9 years for Flacco to become the leader of this offense and take control, vs being reliant on the Offensive Coordinator, and the scheme we run. I thought the Super Bowl run was his ascension, but in reality he was just balling out in a good system. It has always felt like Flacco thrives in the no huddle-spread offense, but when we try that early in games, it typically fails. IMO he is at his best in a run heavy, play action offense where he can protect the football, yet use his mobility and arm talent to hit WRs and TE's on multiple levels of the field. We always want to put him in that "elite" category, but in reality he is simply a talented system quarterback that has all the physical traits you want in a QB. I just wish his play recognition, and command of the offense was better. See the mismatch before the snap and attack it. That's all Brady, Rodgers, and Manning ever do. They are not super heroes. They just find the mismatch pre-snap and audible to create one if none exists.
