  1. It is possible that Jack is available. If I recall, the previous article that mention Tunsil focused more on drafting Stanley. I would say we are narrowed down to Jack, Bosa, and Buckner. Stanley is the pick if Cleveland does not take a QB. I highly doubt that happens.
  2. Myles Jack moved well at his pro day and still has 5 months to fully recover. Jack had a 40 inch vertical and 124 inch broad jump which is freakish. He will enter the league and become the best cover ILB in the game. Sideline to sideline monster that will make CJ Mosley look average. We would be stupid if we pass on him. I think he is our highest rated player. PS: you are the negative Nancy of this site.
  3. The issue isn't if the fan base would approve of drafting an LT at #6. It is whether Stanley is worthy of that pick. It's also worth noting that most fans don't really care about the draft. You have to really have nothing better to do that day so sit through it. The typical start of the season has most fans getting to know the new players on our team. 2 years ago I was at M&T for the opening game sitting in a 500 section and people all around me asking each other who is number such and such. Last year I was lucky enough to be at the bengals opener sitting 12 rows back from the Ravens sideline and again heard people without a clue as to who we drafted or picked up in the offseason. As much as the media and NFL want it to be a 365 day news cycle most people are out actually enjoying their summer. Heck, most of us that use these forums are living out of state or even out of country and use it as a way to stay connected. When you live in MD purple is everywhere and you just discuss these things with your neighbors, friends and colleagues. So yeah, if we draft a non playmaker there will be grumbling but this is Baltimore so that is normal. Speak for yourself my friend. I enjoy the draft. Not only because of who we pick but I love to see these kids react when they are selected. These kids have been picked at and mocked drafted so many times it's pathetic. I know the Ravens will pick who they believe will enhance their team regardless of position. Best player available. Go Ravens. IMO the draft is more exciting to watch than the Super Bowl unless the Ravens are in the big game. What sucks is the wait!
  4. So they have Stanley at 8 and people are freaking out over taking him at 6. I don't get it. If you eliminate the 2 QBs (which we can't really use) then he would be 6. LT is a boring pick and we have one who is 28 years old, with 3 years left on his contract, and was taken No. 8 overall in 2009. IMO the evaluators/mock drafter overrate tackles because they are one of the most important positions and multiple are frequently taken in the Top 10. Our defense also needs more help than our offense. I personally think Myles Jack is the highest rated player on our board if you heard the way Decosta spoke of him and how important versatility is in todays game. He will immediately enter the league and be the best cover ILB in the NFL.
  5. Karl Joseph in the 2nd round would be amazing. He could learn the ropes under Weddle and become a beast in the NFL.
  6. BPA would not put Stanley at No. 6 overall. Buckner, Hargreaves, and Elliot should all be ranked above him. Not that it is a need, If Ozzie thinks Elliot is a Jamal Lewis type player don't be surprised if we draft him. I would prefer a defensive stud, but you gotta trust our front office.
  7. I would not classify that schedule as easier than last year. Our schedule last year really wasn't that tough. It was just littered with West Coast Travel. Our division makes every year tough. Tell my why we never get New England at home?
  8. Wentz is going Top 5 so can we please stop talking about a QB not going. Teams may actually jump Cleveland and take him No. 1 overall.
  9. More like Rounds 1-3 will make or break the draft. If we could get two starters out of the 4th Round it would be successful.
  10. Don't hold your breath on Perriman. Perriman is going to be a beast.
  11. For as much as we invested in Flacco, there is no need to rush him on the field. Mallet could start the first few games if need be. There is no conundrum on Noah Spence. He is a 2nd Round talent and we will draft him if he is the BPA. He isn't a prodigy.
  12. I have seen some mocks with Taylor Decker or Jason Spriggs linked to us. It makes sense to add depth at he position if Monroe can't go.
  13. It is a woman's game as well my friend. Really what woman plays in the NFL? men play the game and it gets physical... and if that bothers people maybe they are not man enough to watch how men play. I agree from a fans perspective it is a mens and womens sport equally but for those who do not understand that it is a mens sport played by men and therefore physical... then i would encourage them to tune into something else, regardless of their gender.. I agree with what steel city is saying... and I think it gets old when non traditional football fans ruin it for those who are traditional football fans (again regardless of gender). I think the rule changes are all about money. The NFL doesn't want to face litigation from all the injuries and head trauma so they are emphasizing player safety. The NFL thinks that high scoring games attract more viewers and keep more people glued to the screen (Fantasy Football?), so they create and emphasize rules that put defense at a disadvantage. It is the owners who are ruining the game of football. The owners are at the mercy of the media, the general population, and their money is at risk.
  14. When you read or hear something do you always just take it as fact? Do you process what you hear and look for more answers if it doesn't make sense? This comment proves how the media can strongly influence peoples thoughts and beliefs. Be more skeptical and look for more answers.
  15. Or we sign a June 1st cap casualty. Free Agency isn't over yet and we have the same Tackles that we started with in 2015.
  16. Fair enough. I would rather see him get snatched up and let the defensive talent fall to us.
  17. Yeah, if you click on the article that baltimore beatdown references, it will take you to the infamous rick roll youtube video.
  18. A list of the Top 10 defensive players of all time and Ray Lewis isn't on it? What a joke. I think we will draft a CB in Rounds 1-3.
  19. Did you just say Tunsil doesn't have great footwork? Tunsil is a freak athlete, and his technique, footwork, and quickness are 2nd to none. Stanley's weakness is his quickness, agility, and footwork. Stanley is a long arm, heavy hands, mauler. I think he is more suited to be a great RT, but I don't believe he is Top 10 worthy and will struggle with the top edge rushers.
  20. Honestly, the only guy I would be upset with would be Stanley. I just don't believe he is a Top 10 player. He is merely rated high because his position is in such high demand.
  21. I notice a little bit of a design change to the site. It looks nice.
  22. So after all these years and amazing seasons Suggs has put together, he tears his achilles for a 2nd time on a hot summer day in Denver (high altitude) where the defense was on the field for an absurd number of snaps and you want to question his work ethic? And his preparation for 2015? Do you think Suggs magically wakes up at 30 or 31 years old and just still has a freakish physique, motor, maintains his technique? That he reacts to plays accurately and quickly because he can see into the future? How are you going to question a All Pro, DPOY, complete 3-4 OLB, and future HOF? He is better than everyone because he outworks them. He knows what needs to be done and all he cares about is Lombardy's. He is more competitive than anyone on this Defense. If you haven't gathered that information from his 14 year career you have missed out on greatness. PS: There was no news of Suggs failing a conditioning test at camp, unlike Webb in 2015. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Trimmer-Terrell-Suggs-Now-At-%E2%80%98Fighting-Weight%E2%80%99/4aad6880-63b3-494b-b4b1-4e16d2bb3457 Check out that article too.
  23. Watson is a veteran who knows how to get open. yes, but Gilmore and Maxx showed they could as well, and really want those guys to continue to develop....Flacco had a ton of trust in Gilmore.... Maxx Williams is going to be a star. But Watson brings the unit leadership and they will learn from a true pro how to properly prepare for the season, and each game. He got a healthy contract, but Ozzie, Harbaugh, and Biscotti must have felt his leadership qualities were worth the contract.
  24. I love your comments and your username. You give this site some character.
  25. As much as I love Suggs, I'm not convinced he has the internal fire to be dominant again as he was 2 years ago. Just last off-season he talked about retirement, how losing Ngata affected him and we know he's dealing w/ personal issues. I hope he has it in him to give us one more great year. Have you honestly seen a year where Suggs didn't bring his all? Or wasn't the most dominant player on the field wearing Purple and Black? Suggs is a battle tested warrior. Be grateful for how long he has played and that he is still on this team. We need more guys like Sizzle.
