  1. Yeah, we had no depth behind Suggs, and Doom after losing McPhee. To expect a 4th Round Rookie and patchwork players to hold down what Suggs brings to the table was impossible. Now we have a healthy rotation of rushers, which we should always have in this pass happy league.
  2. The new CBA allots more money to veteran contracts because rookie deals are set contracts, and the league has continued to raise the cap limit. QB is the most valuable position and teams are desperate for solid guys that can win. Now the market has inflated because teams know how valuable a good QB is. Average/Upcoming guys will hit jackpot.
  3. I told everyone Stanley dominated last Thursday.
  4. I would put Dixon back at punts to see how he does. If we are going to carry 4 RB's we better use them as much as possible.
  5. Dixon looked like a legit talent last night making guys miss and running through tackles. He seemed more explosive/decisive behind the line picking his holes than the other backs. PS: Not one mention of his play: Ronnie Stanley dominated last night at LT. In pass pro he didn't allow 1 pressure by his man. He won every run block except a weak effort on a backside run where the defender wasn't in the play and guys he blocked didn't register a single tackle. Incredible pull block to give West a gain of 8 yds on a sweep. Stanley had a crack down block where he buried a guy to the ground which helped a 1st down run. Once he locks in on a guy' it's over folks. We finally found our LT.
  6. That's what concerns me the most. We have a few "prity good" RBs but we can't call any one of them "really good". I wouldn't be surprised if Trestman just gives up on the runing game. Then we're doomed... I think our running backs are more than just "prity good". If our offensive line does its job our running backs will be GRRRRRRRREAT! Dixon will become the every down back in a few years because he is dominant as a receiver out of the backfield. Buck Allen is also solid though. It's crazy that we have 3 young backs that can start (Allen, West, Dixon). I think we will let Forsett's contract expire this year and the young guys will take over. That will probably mean Dixon and Allen get more reps in the 2nd Half of the season.
  7. Pitta will become the starter if he can stay healthy. His routes are beast. He was turning Weddle around like it was nothing.
  8. Kenneth Dixon has all the tools to become an every down back. I really think he is going to be a special player. Marshall Faulk was much faster, but Dixon's game is very similar as a receiving threat and in the open field. Dixon is more of a punisher when he wants to be though.
  9. Denis Pitta is a matchup nightmare. Those routes are vicious. Pitta embarrassed Weddle twice. If he comes back and shines, we have a serious X factor. Pitta was such a huge part of our SB run. Don't forget he catches everything. Fantasy sleeper last round of the draft. Denis Pitta...
  10. Kamar will start unless Perriman somehow begins to dominate.
  11. Correra might actually be one of those dogs we used to have. Relentless.
  12. Baltimore is a little long to fit across the endzone. It would look much nicer if both sides said Ravens.
  13. I can't wait till Correa becomes a starter. His mentality and motor is Clay Matthews esque.
  14. If Pitta somehow came back 100% and balled after everyone counted him out... What a story that would be.
  15. "Tha remix to ignition, hot and fresh out the kitchen." I think the chicken suit is fitting...
  16. Most MSM media outlets promote negative news to the point where we are conditioned to always look for the negative. Life is so much better when you look for the positives in it. That SSR tweet gets me excited. I can't wait to watch the IDGF tour in action. What a beast.
  17. There are no excuses for Joe and Trestman.
  18. They were aggressive in the offseason, and they should have been after the 5-11 season. Last season was great because the injuries and poor performance gave Ozzie the chance to reevaluate some major weaknesses. The draft has me excited to see what everyone can do.
  19. There is a lot of depth. Staying healthy isn't as important as consistently running the football for 1st Downs, controlling clock, and keeping the defense off the field. That falls on Trestman in Year 2 with 0 excuses.
  20. All the respect in the world for Justin Forsett. More influential people need to speak up.
  21. Tucker wins games. There are very few positions as important as the kicker. Somehow teams haven't figured this out.
  22. Tucker still had a great season IMO. Maybe not as great as previous seasons, but great nonetheless. He missed ONE FG under 50 yards. All his other misses were 50+. Stop relying on a kicker to CONTSTANTLY bail out the offense b/c they can't get closer than 50+ yard attempts. Agreed. You can't fault tucker for missing 55+ yarders before the half. He had maybe 1 bad game last year and that is rare. He still followed it up with 3 game winners.
  23. We got a better pass rusher than Spence. His name is Correra. We got a 3-4 DE in the 3rd round in Kafusi, and still addressed our most important need at LT. Monroe didn't care enough about the game of football to become great. I'm happy he's gone. Jack was an injury risk and Ozzie thought we could get him later. He even said there was a specific spot where they would have drafted Jack. The Corners of the draft were not very good. William Jackson and Hargreaves are the only ones that will be decent. We tried to trade up for Ramsey but the Cowboys didn't want to give up their pick. Don't forget about ZaDarius Smith. Bottom line, we drafted 3 pass rushers and 2 corners in the draft. We signed Powers and Weddle. If you don't see the effort to add talent, you missed a lot.
