Winning teams have players who make clutch plays when the game is on the line. Unfortunately, the Ravens don't have any. When the D forces two turnovers inside the red zone and you come up with zero points, you lose.
Two comments: 1) "He ran the ball four times after gaining 60 yards in the first quarter." 2) KIRK COUSINS IS ELITE!
KO should be happy. He got much more money from Oakland that he would have here. Fact is, they overpaid. Ravens should also be happy. With the $$$ they saved, they landed Weddle, Wallace, and Watson (not their fault he had a season-ending injury) plus added Stanley and Lewis to the OL. I'd make that trade any day. Which is why the Ravens' record this year is 3-0, not 0-3.
One reason CJ's playing better is the play of Zachary Orr.
Very impressed with Michael Pierce. Looks like he's gonna be the player we hoped Carl Davis would be.
Happy Ravens are hanging on to Reynolds, Brown, and Onwassor, but really disappointed that Ochi went elsewhere. Remember James Harrison?
Wish Butler had made the squad, but with a healthy Perriman, SSS, Wallace, and Aiken, his playing time would have been nil. Can he still go to the PS? I don't understand releasing Ochi and Brooks to keep Kendrick Lewis. Hope they can bring back Ochi on the PS. That guy can play.
"They both are extremely talented." Hah! Weddle for President! Let's make this team great again.
Aiken put up nearly 1,000 yards last year and all people want to talk about is Waller's "potential."
Good-bye, Kyle Arrington.
The NFL's top 100 is just a promotional stunt meant to hype up interest when nothing is happening on the field that signifies nothing. I ignore it and so should everyone else.
What I'd like to see most is our corners press the WR's and not give up 8-yard completions like they don't matter.
4-3 or 3-4, what's the diff? If Suggs or Doom are in the game, they're rushing the passer so they become DE's. Given that this is a pass-happy league, maybe we should run a 4-2-5.
The Ravens can only keep 53, so which of the vets are are most likely to be cut? Has to come down to who's good on special teams.
If the Ravens keep only 3 RB's, they'll be Forsett, Allen, and Dixon -- unless Ravens cut Forsett, which I don't see happening, in which case I think 3rd spot goes to West. Juice is the FB. Reynolds is a lock, because he can be play special teams, returner, and receiver, while Clay is one-dimensional (though good at what he does). If Camp stays healthy, he makes the team. At TE, Waller is the odd man out if Pitta comes back. You just don't need 5 TE's.
I don't get this move, unless it's about the marijuana thing, which is ridiculous. We don't need the cap space, Monroe is a good player when healthy, and depth on the O-line is a good thing. What if Stanley gets hurt? Scratching my head here.
I really don't get all the hype about Jalen Ramsey, who some have called a "generational" DB. Really? You mean, like Deion? Not even close. Ramsey has lousy hands and doesn't get many picks. I'm very happy with the Ravens draft. They picked up quality players at many different positions. You'll have proof when cut-down time comes and some underperforming vets are asked for their playbooks.
I love Anquan, but think the chances of him playing here again are nil. We'd have to know that SSS can't go before bringing in Boldin. By that time, someone else would have picked him up.
I can't believe the vitriol directed toward Breshad Perriman because of this latest setback. We don't even know yet if he'll be out for the season again, but already people are implying that somehow he's cheated us, he's a loser, "5th rounder at best," and other garbage. This is a guy who's big, runs sub-4.3, worked like hell in the off-season, and had the coaching staff drooling watching him work out. Don't you think he wants to be out there showing everybody what he can do? Injuries happen in the NFL. At least he didn't accidentally shoot himself in the leg. What kind of "fans" are you anyway? Guess we should cut Flacco, Forsett, Suggs, and SSS for "letting us down" last year.
Did Camp slip in the shower?
"Chip on his shoulder" is the biggest cliche in football. Think of something else. Carl Davis had a chip on his shoulder last year and the chip disappeared.
The best pass defense is a good pass rush. Lousy pass rush = few interceptions. We addressed the pass rush in the draft and Suggs is coming back. This is why our pass coverage should be better.
If Camp stays healthy, then he has to make the team, because he's an ideal slot receiver who we KNOW can make plays. Why replace him with Reynolds who hasn't even learned the position?
How did Perriman look? Sorry, couldn't help myself?

The bottom line is that Flacco is nowhere near "elite" (reserve that term for Brady, Rodgers, Brees, and Rothlisberger). He's average. That being the case, abandoning a running game that is working to throw 80% of the time to receivers who drop key catches is just stupid. Clearly, Trestman's play-calling is not suited to this team and Biscotti needs to make a change.
