  1. It's Lewis in the protocol, but same thing. He ran behind a terrible line at Louisiana Tech so it's not like he hasn't done that before. I know I probably have unreasonable expectations, but he has a shot at rookie of the year. Had one of pff's highest elusive ratings last year, and will hopefully have the opportunity.
  2. If he's able to practice, I think the Ravens are in a situation where he has to be active. He was clearly the best back in preseason and Forsett and West have been pretty bad, to say the least.
  3. Hopefully it is just a precaution. I guess it is a good sign he finished the game Sunday. Cannot imagine a worse scenario than Hurst "blocking" Irvin or Mack.
  4. If Forsett starts Sunday, I will literally boo until Dixon gets in the game.
  5. Or you can throw it underneath, complete 20 straight passes and move the ball down the field consistently. I know there are more ways to attack the cover 3, but those take too long to develop against a d-line pinning their ears back to rush the passer because of the lack of run game.
  6. I'm not sure you're following what I'm saying. I never denied the fact that he gave up 2 TDs, but he was locked up with Allen Robinson which he really should never be. When he was on Hurns (a really good #2), he didn't give up much. It seemed like you were expecting him to shut down whoever he's covering based on the fact he didn't give up many yards (but if you consider TDs to be big plays then I guess that's your basis on that) to a very good receiving duo.
  7. Wright isn't Revis either, so how can you expect him to shutout the guy he's covering? He hasn't been bad at all. Robinson is a top 10 receiver, there's no way Jimmy shouldn't have been shadowing him. So you're asking what happens when a team with 2 good receivers plays the Ravens? Are you not aware that the Jags have a top 5 receiving duo in the league?
  8. Coleman is a 1st round pick and very talented, so it's not like he's some no name rookie. Also, Hurns did nothing yesterday against Wright. Much like other posters have said, Wright should not have ever been on Robinson.
  9. Linebackers are supposed to take on blockers to clog up the hole. Just watched the Crowell run on gamepass and it looked like he could have attacked the lineman more on his outside shoulder, but I'm sure his job on that play was to take on the blocker and clog up the hole.
  10. Dude it's football. If your life is miserable enough that you come on here to tell fans they're idiots for being happy the team we root for is 3-0, then I am sorry.
  11. You're right. Wish we were more like Pittsburgh and getting destroyed by a rookie QB. Or Cincy getting lit up by Trevor Siemian. Or Cleveland and have the equivalent of present day Elvis Grbac at QB. I don't think anyone is talking crap or anything even close really. While there are definitely signs of a bright future, this team has a little ways to go (mainly run game on offense).
  12. He should just sit out the rest of the year with his banged up ankle. Stock can only go down.
  13. This is literally their defensive scheme man. They run cover 3 pretty much exclusively. It wouldn't make sense to consistently call deep routes against a defense designed to stop deep throws.
  14. Couldn't agree more. It's the first year in a new offense with most of the unit (including QB) either returning from injury, a rookie, or first year on the team. That is coupled with the fact that Forsett has been so ineffective. A whole lot of people saying Trestman is doing a bad job, but not much saying what he should be doing instead - don't value these sort of people's opinions at all.
  15. The ground game is pathetic with Forsett in there. Playbook becomes severely limited with no run game at all. Playing a team that runs predominately zone is why the "slowest and oldest players" got targets and fell down. Sit down in the zones. Although I do agree they should get the younger guys more involved, I don't think the offensive staff/Trestman are doing a bad job at all. They're just handicapped so much by the horrible run game.
  16. Apparently you did not watch Blake Bortles today.
  17. I meant pessimistic in focusing on his eventual, and apparently inevitable, departure, rather than enjoying his play now.
  18. Who is saying Flacco had an off-game? Trestman cannot catch the ball for the receivers, block for the line, or run for the backs. Are people upset with Trestman if Wallace catches that touchdown? Anyone can predict what the Ravens are going to do because the running game is terrible. Forsett does not deserve more than ~3 carries a game.
  19. Fixed it for you lol
  20. This board just so pessimistic for some reason. The interior line has been really good this year. Jernigan, Williams, Pierce, Guy, and even Urban to a lesser extent have been very impressive.
  21. Hopefully Jensen's playing time will convince the staff to play him over Zuttah.
  22. Gus Bradley runs cover 3 almost exclusively, which is probably why there were not many deep shots today. Have to attack the cover 3 underneath.
  23. Couldn't agree more.
  24. It makes no sense.
