  1. Or more likely the Ravens deny Kubiak permission to take Dennison and promote him to OC. I think there is a reason he'll be the QB coach. Also the Ravens are a smart organization, if Kubiak's name starts to buzz I don't think they'll just allow all the guys who help build this offense to just walk out the door. There will be far too many coaches who will be able to teach this system, QB, WR, TE and RB coaches will probably be added and allow will bring be able to teach and run this offense in some type of capacity. So we'll have a OC in place should Kubiak get a HC job next year.

Also remember Dennison was getting some buzz this time last year as a HC candidate, so even if he is promoted to OC next year, it might only be a one year thing. I think we'll see some young coaches added as position coaches or offensive assistants to learn this system from Kubiak.

    Can they even do that?

  2. It's also about having another OC-in-waiting who knows Kubiak's system if/when Kubiak leaves for a HC position.

Dennison's hiring is as much about the future as it is about what the team needs now.

Overall, I'm pleased with both hirings, mainly because they're both proven and neither uses the Air Coryell.

Ravensfan23 addressed that a couple of pages back. Rick Dennison's probably going to be the next man up when Kubiak gets a HC gig again.

OR more likely, Kubiak takes Dennison as his OC. ;)

  3. actually mod 3 I was one that perpetrated that myth too I thought it was allot more

Myth: Flacco's contract has crippled this team and is the reason we got rid of all the players last year and won't be able to retain players this year because of it .

http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/baltimore-ravens/joe-flacco/  pay attention to cap hit number ....I would copy the graphic but mobile is not letting me

Hm, well for this year it was a false assumption/ But next year that jumps to 14, then 28 in 2016. With Sizzle's cap and all the other guys we would need/want to retain, then it's higher.

of course, if his play was better this would be all "worth it" - but right now (or rather, in 2013) it wasn't. Sure, there were other factors to that, but simply just watching him and him alone, it did not scream worth it in my opinion (looking at last year's play alone).

Let's hope we get him help though. otherwise, it just makes that contract look worse. :)

  4. Been a PS gamer all my life (owned a 360 before trading it in for the PS4 preorder). Can't wait for all the stable of games from AAA to indies to come out.   :)

In saying that, Ryse on the XBone looks good (I'm probably only one of the few people that think this :P). At least the SP does. The MP looks janky as hell! Surprised if that part of the game is finished at launch. Will proba only stick to one console this go around, unless I pick up an XB1 cheap at the tail end.

    Nextgen can't come soon enough.

  5. The greatest WR of all time ran a 4.71 40 yard dash, if you have great hands and ball skills I'll take that over speed every day of the week. And Boldin still makes big 30-40 yard catches and puts up 100yds a game. He will most definitely be hard to replace.

But people forget that Jerry Rice's 20 yard dash (final 20 of the 40) is one of the fastest in history. Or at least, commonly perceived and well known to be on of the fastest.

So once he got separation, no one was catching him.

I love Q. But I find it hard for us to keep him, Ellerbe, and Reed together. We'll lose at least 1. Maybe even 2, sadly.
