Look at center John Toth from Kentucky. I think he's the best in the class for sure! All the others seem like guards who can play center. This dude seems like a natural at the position. Run blocking, pass protection, and gets up field.

Agree with Perriman, Judon, Maxx, and Dixon. I'm going to go with improvement of run game, the 2017 rookie class, and delveopment of 2016 class. The 2016 class can go down as our best draft ever. Stanley at LT. Correa at ILB. Tavon Young at CB. Dixon at RB. Judon at OLB. Alex Lewis at guard. Then, imangine if Kafusi and Henry can contribute...that is a young nucleus that's looking great. We draft a legit center and CB, and a high cieling pass rusher. Sign FA WR and now ILB and I'm feeling reaaaal good.

This sucks. He played amazing last season, even better than CJ. He was the perfect compliment to CJ. While CJ is your typical middle linebacker, Orr was the smaller speedy one that could cover backs and TEs well. (Think Navarro Bowman and Patrick Willis). Anyways, being optimistic, can you imagine if Correa turns out to be a legit starting ILB? I think he's a lost cause at pass rusher, but there were reports he was looking good at ILB during camp. If he does pan out, imagine our 2016 draft class: starting franchise LT- Stanley, starting ILB- Correa, legit starting slot corner -Young, starting NT- Pierce, a potentially really good pass rusher- Judon , future top 10 RB- Dixon, and if Henry, Kafusi, and Canaday pan out...wow.

I love this! helping Joe and the running game would be great. Just having him in the coaches room as another offensive mind when creating game plan is huge.

I actually whole-heartedly agree with what they are saying. I mentioned this in a post the other day. Einseberg wrote a post the other day about how with Jimmy Smith, we were the number one defense in the NFL. Without him the last four games, we were the worst defense! The proof is in the pudding, so to speak! The state of our OLB group is way better than our CB group. I think Suggs has one more solid year as a non-every down pass rusher (had 8 sacks this year), Judon, Za'Darius Smith, Correa (wasn't drafted in the second round for nothing), and Dumervil (who I believe is gone) on paper is a solid group! Add another pass rusher or two in rounds 3-6 and we can hit on somebody. With Kafusi playing and Henry coming back, that should help too. As far as CB goes, we got Jimmy Smith and Tavon Young...everyone else is quite terrible. If we draft a sure-fire CB in the 1st round that can play on the other side of Jimmy, and have Tavon Young play slot and/or backup. Then add another couple CB's via free agency or draft. Cut Arrington, Powers, and maybe Wright. We definitely need another WR, which we could hopefully find via FA. I think Perriman will be really good next year. I'd love to see us draft an upper-echelon center in rounds two or three and solidify our O-Line. Cut Zuttah. Our O-Line would then be very solid. Having a good O-Line makes an offense.

We need to cut the low hanging fruit at CB - Arrington and Kendrick Lewis for sure. Maybe Wirght too, but then again, we need some depth, and he's Jimmy Smith's best friend (keep Jimmy's morale high). Dumervil, Pitta or Watson, Zuttah all being cut will help with payroll. Also. all this talk about WR, just throwing this out there: Perriman in the most gifted WR in Ravens history? The speed and catching radius he showed was impressive. He needs to improve big time, but I'm optimistic.

Why is every post negative in here? We are stuck with Marty, for now. Why wouldn't we revel in the fact that we can get a guy like Greg Roman who many consider a creative run game specialist?! The fact that we are even thinking about that shows that Harbaugh is conscious of the fact we NEED to run the ball. And hey, a guy with Roman's resume could only help in the coaches room when putting together the offensive game plan. Who knows, he may outshine Marty and become the new OC (let's not think about that yet).

Did anybody see the article posted on the Ravens app on 1/7 by John Einsberg titled: Nothing Will Impact Ravens More Than Addressing One Position? I'll summarize it for you: with Jimmy Smith the Ravens were the #1 defense (this is without an effective pass rush). The last four games without Jimmy Smith we were the worst defense in the NFL. To me the proof is in the pudding - so to speak. We need more CB depth! We get a sure-fire 1st round DB in the draft and I think it would have the biggest impact! I also think we should take another CB in the draft too and sign a veteran. Cut Arrington, Wright (maybe), Powers, and Kendrick Lewis. Jimmy Smith on one side, #1 pick on the other, with Tavon Young in the slot and/or backup LCB or RCB looks good. Unless Tim Williams is sitting there at 16, I think it will be wise to wait to rounds 2-4 to get a pass rusher. I mean, we still have Suggs (8 sacks this year playing injured, and I think can have one more good year), Judon, Za'Darius Smith, Correa, and Dumervil (who I think is gone). The state of OLB is better than our CB depth. If I had it my way, I'd do CB round 1, top center in round 2, pass rusher rounds 3 & 4, in rounds 5-7 I'd go boom or bust WR, CBs, and guards. I think we are one very legit center away from having an upper echelon OL, which I also feel is the most important thing in football. However, we did give a practice squad center Matt Skura a raise from $6,900/wk to $26,471/wk . So, we may be super high on him with Urschel as his counterpart. ...Whatever, in Ozzie we trust.

I think we need a speed rusher type guy. Yes having a guy like Von Miller or Mack with a rare combo of size, strength, and speed is the most coveted, but I think we lack as speed rusher, especially now the Dumervil is towards the end of his career. We have Suggs, Za'Darius Smith, Matt Judon, and Correa, who to me are all kind of the same: the bigger and stronger type pass rusher; they use these attributes to disrupt. Look at the Vic Beasley and Markus Golden type pass rusher. They had huge sack numbers and they are the speedy type guys. Some NFL tackles are more athletic but can't handle power rushers. Some tackles are strong but can't handle speed rushers. If we had a speed rusher type OLB, we can mix and match with our other OLB/pass rushers to find some good results.

I think the number one reason was offensive play calling. We really didn't get blown out of many games, and we could have easily won the vast majority of the games we lost by scoring a couple more points (I'm not talking scoring 30 points, just a few more per game). Thank god for Tucker, but if we just could of scored a few more TDs instead of FGs. Running the ball makes 3rd and shorts, and we seemed to always be 3rd and long. Look, our defense was towards of the top of the league; we couldn't ask them to do much more. Yes, the pass rush wasn't great and we did give up some fourth quarter leads...BUT our offense should of been able to put up more points and more time of possession. Compared to how our defense played all year, the offense didn't hold its weight. I am a firm believer that you need to be able to run the ball. It helps your passing game tremendously, wears down the D, and controls time of possession - giving your defense rest and closes games. I don't think we "couldn't run the ball," we just chose not to. We would throw on obvious run downs. And instead of throwing the ball down field, which is our QB's strength, we dink-and-dunk. If I was Marty Mornhinweg and Harbaugh, I'd spend the offseason studying and watching the top offenses in the league. I'd watch all the Cowboy, Falcon, Patriot, and Green Bay games and get insight into what makes them effective. Take these concepts and apply them to our offense. It's a copycat league.

What letter grade would you give our different position groups after the 2016 season? A good way to gauge needs of the team. Offense -Quarterback: B. According to this year and recent history, Flacco has some games where he looks like an 'A' QB, and other games a 'C' QB. Wouldn't put him in the Brady, Brees, Rodgers category whatsoever, but I'd put him in the top 15. Keep in mind this was probably Flacco's worst season outside of his rookie year. Look at the teams that don't have a serviceable QB; it is proven you cannot win without a legit QB. However, if your team is good, a 'B' can get you by as long as you can run the ball, too! Ryan Mallet is a legit backup QB, but I expect him to be gone. Running Back: A-. I really like the future RB situation with Dixon and West, with Dixon becoming our #1. With Dixon's combination of strength, agility, pass catching, etc. I think he will be a potential top 5 back in this league. Our OC needs to set our run game up for success though! Wide Receiver: C-C+. In its current state our WR position leaks bleak. No more SSS... Mike Wallace is good, but kind of a one-trick pony. Perriman shows potential but still raw - not ready to be a true number one. Will he ever be? Doesn't separate from DB's well, but once he gets up to top speed he's deadly. Aiken is a good position WR, but I have a feeling he'll be gone. Campanero actually impresses me every time he plays! (Which is very rare). He's a true Welker/Edleman clone and I think could be a really good chain moving asset for Joe. In it's current state, giving the group a C is maybe being generous. However, we add Garcon or Stills and I'd give it a 'B'. Add Alshon Jeffery and I'll give it a solid 'B+.' Adding someone like Mike Williams in the draft would boost the grade big time too. Stills would give us some speedy WR's! (Wallace, Stills, Perriman, Camp). Fullback: A. Kyle Juszczyk is the most dangerous FB offensively in the NFL; he's come a long way with his blocking too. Isn't afraid to square up on a MLB. Offensive Tackle: A-. This grade applies IF we resign Wagner, which I believe is our number one priority. Brandon Williams probably will play for another team next year and get $$$$. Ronnie Stanley was a really solid LT for a rookie! He will only get better. Say it with me: "we have a franchise left tackle." Felt good, didn't it? Ricky Wagner always grades amazingly according to PFF; he's solid in the run game and passing game. I love Alex Lewis as a backup tackle who can also come in on jumbo packages. Get rid of James Hurst. Guard: B+. This one was tricky... We have Marshall Yanda - the best guard in the NFL. Him playing on the left side this year helped Stanley develop, but it will be nice to have him back at his natural position next year. As far as left guard goes, we got some options...Ducasse was decent. Alex Lewis played well there and can be the starter next year. I love Ryan Jensen at guard, while I hate him at center. Urschel isn't a slouch either. We may even draft a new guard...but the moral of the story is, we got options. Center: D: Let's face it. Jeremy Zuttah was our worst starting player this year, expect maybe when we had to Shareece Wright at CB. Eh, its a tossup. John Urschel is a decent backup, but still he's unproven. Look at the teams over the last 5 years that drafted a center high in the draft; those picks pay big dividends! The center anchors the line, needs to be athletic, and helps call protections. Look at our centers compared, to say, Travis Frederick from Dallas. We have nothing close to that. Luckily, this year's draft has great center talent! I love to upgrade that position in rounds 3-4. Defense Defensive Line: A-. You could make the argument that for 3-4 DL, we got the best in the NFL. Timmy Jernigan is very solid. Wish he would amass more sacks, but he's still disruptive and good against the run. On the other side, Guy is very serviceable, and Urban, Bronson Kaufusi healthy, and a healthy Willie Henry looks good on paper. I wouldn't be mad if we drafted another guy. As the NT position goes, we got the best in the NFL! Brandon Williams is a beast. However, like I mentioned before I think he'll be gone. Luckily Michael Pierce is almost Williams' clone. I expect him to make a bigger stride next year...lets see how he would hold up as a starter. Maybe have him play early downs and Carl Davis on passing downs? Outside Linebacker: B. On paper, Suggs, Dumervil, Z. Smith, Correa, and Judon looks pretty solid. However, the reality is that Suggs and Dumervil don't have a whole lot more to offer. Suggs was very impactful at times this season, and Dumervil was coming off a torn Achilles. Z. Smith and Correa contributed next to nothing, and Judon shows really good potential. I have a feeling Dumervil is gone next year. I would like to see Z. Smith play some DE. But I am almost certain we'll draft an OLB/pass rusher in the first two rounds. So this position group has a lot of questions. Inside Linebacker: A. I think Mosley and Orr are the best one-two punch at ILB in the whole league, outside of Carolina. Mosley made the Pro Bowl again, but I think Orr outplayed him all year! Great to see. I think we need to move McClain back to backup ILB and Correa is better at ILB than OLB at this point. Cornerback: B. Jimmy Smith and Tavon Young? Yes please. The rest of our CB's...TRASH. Powers, Wright, Arrington, they all were bad. If we had Smith, Young in the slot, and a good rookie like say Sidney Jones, with some solid veteran depth I'd like it. We MUST bring in some more CB's, whether it be through the draft or free agency. We see how good we can be when Jimmy plays, and how screwed we are without him. I think he's our best player. Ozzie and Eric, please solidify this position. Saftey: A-. Weddle and Webb I thought played really well this year! Especially compared to previous years. We were a top 5 defense this year I think as a result. Give them another year together and I think they'll be even better...especially Webb. Have Anthony Levine as depth is good. I think we'll actually retain Elam but on a one year deal. But please, don't ever have him as the deep safety! Playing around the line and covering TE's is more his suite. Special Teams: A-. We get an 'A-' because we have the best kicker in the world, Pro Bowl long snapper in Morgan Cox, and a Pro Bowl punter in Koch (although he had a down year). Those three have amazing chemistry. Our coverage teams are good. Where we suck is at returner! I like Chris Moore as returner better than Hester. I like Campanero as a punt returner because he can catch the ball.

TE is our strongest position and OLB/DE and CB are the strongest positions in the draft...

I think we continue to build defense and work on run game. On offense, outside side of the center position (and possible a guard) and another WR to replace SSS, I think we are solid enough to win. You look at all the top teams this year and they can run the ball. Smash mouth run game provides balance is passing game. Our o-line is a good center away from being very legit. Our RBs are looking really good going forward. If all our TEs are healthy (I'm looking at you Maxx Williams), we are solid there. The development of Perriman is crucial, too. On defense we saw glimpses this year that we can be the best in the league. I think we are above average in every position group on D, outside of an effective pass rusher and one more good cornerback for depth. My dream scenario for draft: Round 1: Pass Rusher. Round 2: Cornerback (a lot of depth in class). Round 3: Center. Free agency: 1. Resign Wagner! 2. Go after FA receiver (Jeffery or Stills). 3. Resign Brandon Williams, which would be a lot of $$$....OR do we trust Piece enough to play NT?

I cannot stand reading these comments anymore. We were the #1 rush defense in the league!!! Do you not understand that? Yes, our rush defense was completely terrible in that game, but saying our defense is horrible after that one game? What a joke. If every team had our defense, 90% of them would be in playoff contention. Is our offense and offensive play calling abysmal this year? You can certainly argue that.... We crush the Dolphins: "Joe's elite." "We are winning the Super Bowl." "Things are looking great." "January Joe." "Our Defense is elite." We barley beat the Eagles (even though would of been a lot better if we didn't fumble on our own 10 and throw a stupid INT on their 10): "We suck." "We are not making playoffs." "Our defense sucks." "Flacco is trash."

I feel pretty good about this game! I'd argue we play the Pats better than any other team on a consistent basis. Bill B.'s gameplan is always to exploit the other team's weakness. Being that our run D is so good this year, and Blount won't scare us outside of short yardage situations, I think Brady will try to attack us through the air. Dink-and-dunk passes all game, with the occasional deep balls. I actually like our CBs against that kind of offense. Tavon Young and Powers - the small nimble CBs should match up well (we also have Jimmy on the other side). Playing some zone with Orr and Mosley cutting off quick slant routes over the middle will be big. Weddle and Webb providing help on deep balls. We must pressure Brady whenever we can! Against Miami we didn't register a lot of sacks but the pressure off the edge still disrupted Tanehill. As far as offense goes, the O-line play is everything for us! Man, if they can play almost as well as they did against Miami, I think we'll have a good shot! I'd like to see Dixon start to get more carries than West, and see Perriman get the ball a little more. I feel like the Miami game was the first game all year that we saw all the weapons on offense do damage. Last thoughts: No Gronk is nice. And, get ready for Belichick tomfoolery! WR throws, ambiguous eligible receivers, etc.

-Flacco playing better will help obviously...he's fully capable and IS getting better as the season goes on. - I like the combo of Dixon and West, however, I'd like to see some more reps go to Dixon, especially on passing downs where he could be a weapon in the passing game. Using Juszczyk as another option in the passing game wouldn't hurt either. -Am I crazy, or do we not use Perriman and Wallace on the outside at the same time very often? I feel like Perriamn and Wallace on the outsides with their speed would be awesome, in that it would cause one of them to have single coverage deep, or open space underneath. The chances are one of them can beat their man deep. Using SSS and Aiken in the slot is a lot of short receptions... -In years past, TE's were Flacco's security blanket. Pitta is doing well, but where is Max Williams?! I think using Pitta and Waller in two TE sets would equate to a lot of receptions, and be a good formation for running. -Our O-line is solid when healthy outside of the center position. I think its too late now to start experimenting with a different center. In next years draft, I think upgrading a couple Oline positions is towards the top of the list. Look at what teams are doing this year that have good O-Lines (Dallas, Oakland, Miami) .

What I've seen from him in the last two games has made me really happy. He still doesn't get nearly as much playing time - as not only SSS and Wallace - but Aiken even. He seems like a play maker. In that slant route where he gained 20+ yards, he looked very fast.

If I do have some knocks, it just seems as he makes some fundamental mistakes, like in Crowell's big run in the Cleveland game. Instead of gap discipline waiting to tackle the RB, he was locked with a Dlineman, while Crowell ran right by without Orr looking. I think he will clean all this stuff up! Understand coverages a little bit better. Its his first real shot at being a staring ILB in the NFL, although he started getting more playing time at the end of last year. However, with that being said I absolutely love what I have seen from him so far. Him and Mosely are looking extremely fast and aggressive. Orr is a sideline-to-sideline ILB, and he seems to swarm to the ball very fast. He gets to the screen plays first. I like what I am seeing thus far. Hue Jackson even commented on how fast he plays.

Why are people doubting that we will beat Jacksonville? Our defense has looked really solid outside of today's first quarter. They love to pass the ball, so I'm hoping we account for that and make them try to beat us by running. Until Dixon comes back (who I think will be the difference maker), we just need our run game to provide some balance. We finally played aggressively on offense in the second half and it paid off. That's how we should play at all times. Keep pushing the ball downfield. And to the people saying Jaguars are too good to lose again, hey, we lost 4 in a row to start the season or something like that last year.

I want to see some purple pants combos! Purple pants black jerseys, purple pants white jerseys, and purple on purple for the color rush!

People that really jumped off the screen to me: -Dixon- his speed/burst, along with his ability to make moves in space really blew me away. Just with that small sample size, it is obvious this kid is special. Buck Allen really looked like the odd man out, although he looks natural catching the ball out of the backfield... -Stanley- for his first time out, he looked very in control. He looked strong and athletic, especially on the play where he had that beautiful pull block. A left tackle with that strength and mobility is rare. -Arthur Brown- no love for Brown? I thought he looked scary fast at the linebacker position. The way he charged the gaps and the ball carrier looked great. He also showed some good potential in pass coverage. I think he is the perfect complement to Mosley. I hope he makes some big plays in the next few preseason games. I feel we haven't seen his potential since being drafted in the second round. -Z. Smith- looked great at rushing the passer and setting edge. Rotating him in with Doom and Suggs will be good. -Brooks- looked hungry. Looked like he wanted to make plays. Looked fast around the ball. Solid in coverage and tackling! -I also think Carl Davis looked good in run support.

I love Jensen at LG; he is a mauler. The best our O-line played last year was when we had Jensen at LG and KO at LT. Jensen has got into several skirmishes with teammates already this offseason, and it's not because he's a jerk, it's because he plays extremely physical and gritty at all times. I really like him and Yanda at guard. As for Urschel, I think he's the number one backup guard/center. If we have a guard or center miss time, he will fit in seamlessly. I believe Urschel is our future starting center. The center position needs to have a smart player there for audibles and reads, and, well, he's the smartest player in the NFL. I like Lewis a lot too; he's a tough tackle. I think he becomes our primary backup at tackle. If Stanly can put together a solid rookie season I think Ozzie looks like a genius...again. Cut Monroe who we've had nothing but issues with, save money, and have our franchise LT - which one can argue is the most important position outside of QB and pass rusher.

Haha I love how everybody was crying out, "this guy is a bust. Why did we draft him? He sucks." Because you have an injury doesn't mean you're a bust! Now those people who are saying he's a bust are like," Great! Can't wait to see him play. He really helps the team." After watching some clips of him in this offseason so far, he looks blatantly bigger and faster than all the people defending him. Here's to Breshad staying healthy, and giving the Ravens a TRUE number one WR for the first time in franchise history? Torrey Smith and Boldin were the closest we've had, and they were only that way because of the lack of talent around them. But, hey, Torrey, Boldin, and Jacoby certainly helped us win a Super Bowl.
