I didn't like his bad tackling but he cleaned it up a bit. It also took a while for me to overlook the average burst to notice his amazing bend.

My top 5 is Garrett, Barnett, taco, harris, and reddick. I prefer reddick after the championship game where Williams failed to bend over and over by losing his footing, maybe an unfair assessment but the fact that he's an athletic freak who also bends well unlike a takk or Harris is where he appeal lied with him, and seeing him fail to bend repeatedly in such a big moment was a turn off.

I'd put TJ Watt as the fifth.

Can anyone give me an opinion on Howard Wilson - Houston, CB?

From the little I've seen I'm starting to like him. But not sure where he projects. Is he back end of that 2nd group (Conley, Jackson, Lewis, White, Tank, King maybe Moreau) or is he step back from them?

Raw for sure. Looks like a solid to very good athlete. Level of competition is worrisome, and looked like he played a lot of bail coverage against Oklahoma, which is the only clips ive seen against him lined up across from a legit NFL prospect.

I just watched him for the first time yesterday and while I can't form a real report, I liked his tape. Passes the first eye test, I'll be sure to watch all his tape.

  3. I finally got to see Marcus Williams and I must say I really liked what I saw. Some mistakes but he has the IQ and the range, along with some ball skills and good fundamentals. Another guy to watch for our 2nd round.

It has seemed and might even still seem unlikely, but I can 100% see it happening. Combine will launch up many athletic freaks. Hopefully they make it ahead of us. I could see a lot of teams putting too much into the numbers and Barnett could be our next pillar on defense. He's possibly the 4th or 5th best player in this draft.

Only teams I could seriously see ruining the day are the saints and colts. I'm hopeful they take a corner or OL.

I think guys like McKinley are going to kill it and scouts will be like «Oh wow, didn't see that coming, I'll put him top10 on my board» like they did with Ramsey and Barnett will fall like Suggs did, and we'll pick him up like we did when Suggs fell. It just seems so natural when I write it.

Really? I didn't see him initially as a first rounder when watching him... I don't mean that as a criticism or anything I'm just interested in what it is about him that makes you put him in the first round?

Good burst coupled with very quick hands, could be more refined but has an already wide array of moves, lacks a bit of strength but hand placement makes up for it for now, good leverage to stack blockers or penetrate in the pass rush. A++ character that matured through adversity.

I understand what you are saying, I just couldn't be ok with it because the guy showed no remorse.  At the senior bowl he was joking around with his teammates pretending to be hit, tweeting stuff that clearly showed he didn't care.  I am all about second chances as well but the guy paid no price, he red shirted for a  year.  She had to see this guy walking around on campus.  There is just so much about it that bothers me.  I couldn't be on board.

And I don't think any of us have to say that hitting a woman is not ok.   I don't think anyone on here would advocate for that.

Well those are some datas I didn't have. As I said, unless I know really the truth about him, I can't decide. It's up to the scouts really. But if he is that kind of man you're talking about, then no I don't want him.

Yeah, just wanted to make it crystal clear since I never really got into this case.

    Eagles Trade Block Update:

    Jason Peters

bargain compared to the talent and prices that will be paid in FA

    Darren Sproles

great weapon for a team trying to get a SB

    Ron Brooks

    starting Nickel, great depth guy

Can you PM me what you'd want for Peters?

So I basically had the same reaction as you.  Hypothetically, if we selected Mixon in say the 5th.....what would be your reaction?

Welp, I never thought about it, I think he's the absolute don't-touch-guy forvous Ozzie so I always skip when I see his name. But I would be fine with it. Let me first say that punching a woman is something I despise and can't stand.

But I do believe in second chances and don't want to see a guy's career (and life) be destroyed by something that happened in 10sec. It's a case where you need to interview and know the guy more than the classic fan, but if it turns out he's just a kid who lost control for a sec, and he truly regrets it, I'm okay with taking him. I'll let the scouts decide.

i really don't like him as a prospect - the more film i watch the more i'm convinced that he won't fit in here - he looks like a perfect corner for a team like seattle or maybe as a strong safety or something - but as a corner i really don't like him in terms of his ability to cover in man and play the ball

Depends on what traits you're looking for. He's terrific in zone coverage, and has upside in both off and press, even though he's still raw in those. I agree playing the ball is his biggest knock, but in the right place he will shine. I don't think he would be totally out of place here, but I wouldn't declare him as an immediate starter or CB2, which is a big problem if we're to take him in the first two rounds.

I think this is one of the most overhyped stories in the draft and one that's not nearly as big of an issue as most people make it out to be.

Yup, I'll second this. I looked more into his tape, and I still don't know where to draft him and what to do with him, but on the physical side he's up there with Lattimore. Just not scheme diverse and some mental limits.

  13. Apart from Robinson, I like it. Not sure we could pick up a 2nd round pick with a trade back though.

I really don't understand the hype with Robinson, his footwork is terrible, he moves like he's carrying 10kgs bags on each side. I largely prefer Forrest Lamp or Feeney.

The though of oj Howard is growing on me. He's a top 10 talent, and the kind of target flacco dreams of, he's never had anything even close to a guy like Howard, he's had slow 6'4" receivers who body catch, he's never had a 6'6" behemoth who can fly and catch anything thrown in his general direction. He's also as good of a TE blocker you'll find, the guy blocks like a backup OT in a jumbo package. He's a special talent and im surprised hes not being mentioned much higher

edit: however, I hate how we was used at Alabama and I have concerns about him being a true TE rather than a schemed open athlete at h-back

On the edit: Howard was at his best during the Senior Bowl in a more classic in line TE. There is absolutely no doubt he would be an impact player from day one here.
