With the 7th pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, the Los Angeles Chargers select:
Reuben Foster
LB
Alabama

The Chargers are open to trade down in the draft barring a surprising fall to the 7th pick.

Damn, it's good being a Raven fan right now.
Has anyone ever heard of Ifeadi Odenigbo? I learnt about him at the Combine and wanted to give him a try, loved his tape.
8 minutes ago, rossihunter2 said:really? i love watching how he catches lol - i guess each to their own - but in terms of subjectivity it is funny how it affects everything... i really dont like watching charles harris but i still objectively see the traits that will maybe make him successful
Well I don't know (and that's why I don't argue lol) but it's like he always faces off coverage and he has all the space and the time in the world to make his cut and catch the ball. He does have some highlight reel catches though.
31 minutes ago, Sami84 said:then why do I have a hunch, even after watching the college tap and now seening the combine that it will end up biting us in the you know what if we took one of them instead of TJ watt?
That's being subjective and I try to avoid that, part of the reason why I don't disagree with the common thought that Corey Davis is a top10 pick despite the fact that I find his tape boring as hell.
6 minutes ago, Sami84 said:We cannot take another stiff OLB and btw joeyflex, best hands IMHO is derek barnett.
Stiffness can be an issue if you're ZDS and you don't know any move, and all you can do is bull rush without any plan. Harris' spin move is wicked, he's still agile enough to win outside and strong enough to bull rush. All in all you get a guy that can contribute right away. You can make a case that Williams isn't the most bendy guy but I wouldn't qualify him as stiff, and he's got the best array of moves in the class to rush the passer.
29 minutes ago, Sami84 said:They both have similar mentalities too.
As usual though, De Costa singled out tim williams and charles harris.
The man doesn't learn. Those two are not good enough.
And why is that?
1 hour ago, jboy19 said:I really didn't think this was a super revealing combine. Nobody really did anything that should have been too shocking to anyone imo.
In a sense it wasn't, but if you told me before the combine that Chris Godwin, Adoree Jackson and Evan Engram would run the same 40, I would have laughed. Doesn't say much but still funny.

RD1: John Ross, WR
RD2: TJ Watt, Edge
RD3: Chidobe Awuzie, CB
RD3: Dalvin Tomlinson, DL
RD4: Jamaal Williams, RB
RD5: KD Cannon, WR
RD6: Jamari Staples, WR
Not like it's horrible either, just would like a little more OL and not a fan of Ross but TJ and Awuzie are great picks.
1 minute ago, rossihunter2 said:That's a bit too early for me, I like him but as a 3rd rounder - pre-combine was hoping 4th rounder but not really anymore
I don't think you can hope for that, he's got too many tools to be there in the 3rd.
Right now I'm starting to love Chidobe Awuzie if he's there in the second.

. C.J Mosey missed two game last year. One was the game against The Giants and the other was against The Jets. Levine defensive snaps in each game were 22 and 21 defensive snaps according to footballoutsiders.com. I don't know in what form of fashion Levine was used in each game but he definitely got his share of snaps on defense. Zach Orr only missed one game last season which was the last game against The Bengels but I was a little surprised to see Levine low snap count in games in I personally thought The Ravens may need him the most. Levine had less than 5 snaps In games against The Patriots and Steelers(the second time) but it also looks like The Ravens were trying to see what they have in Matt Elam.
Orr played so well it probably gave Dean Pees the confidence to keep him on the field on every down which may have made Levine the forgotten man at times. Orr definitely wasn't always prefect either but it seems like he gained Dean Pees trust as a every down linebacker . If The Ravens decide to draft a guy like Jabrill Peppers and use him in the same fashion as Levine then it's reasonable to be skeptical or less confident especially if The Ravens get their hands on another every down linebacker but Peppers would be high round pick so that may make the difference.
Well I see Peppers strictly as a SS, and an excellent one, but his skill set might let us use him as a moneybacker next to CJ and on third downs while we bring an extra CB or S or even more beef up front... The point was, we know how to maximize that guy's skill set, and honestly even if we just use him as a S he'll be an excellent one.

I think it is for Pees...
38 minutes ago, JoeyFlex5 said:well you cant really have levine in a base package, thats asking to get gashed up the middle.
i wonder if we are like super grooming him behind the scenes, letting him learn everything he can and preserving him, because we see him as a great SS or something, and then when we need a new SS we unleash him.
i think the elam ordeal was about a last ditch effort to see if we had anything with our first round pick, i really think they saw something at practice that he wasnt showing on the field and it just didnt click for elam. levine
Yeah but putting McClellan on passing down is even worse, so a rotation would have been nice...
I think you're overthinking it, they saw him play well but were like «nah not gonna try it on Sunday, too exotic».
53 minutes ago, rossihunter2 said:Because Zachary Orr improved in coverage exponentially, and dean pees didn't play any dime all year which were the two reasons everyone thought he'd be used more
Well it's not like CJ and Orr were always healthy, there was room at some point but Pees put McClellan instead. McClellan for crying out loud.
1 hour ago, JoeyFlex5 said:If he falls all the way to 16 then I'd be scared to take him lol. A talent like that only falls for serious reasons
Idk, feels like the problem is a little overrated. Shaq had the same and he's playing. Worst case we take him and let him sit for a year to recover.
1 hour ago, RaineV1 said:I doubt that happens, but I would be thrilled if it did. Miller saying he could fall into the teens, which would be a dream come true. The Ravens would grab him without a second thought.
Don't see that either but still worth sharing.
1 hour ago, RaineV1 said:Granted, we didn't actually use Levine that much during the season. Even when injuries happened we went back to Elam at SS over starting Levine.
Yeah but you get the idea, Levine is nowhere near the athlete or even the player Peppers is and he still balled in his own rights. Big mistery as to why he wasn't more used though.

Too injury prone.

Uh-ho, I see what you did there.

There are some teams saying that's not a problem, and it's the coach's job to get the best out of him and motivate him. I just think he needs to be well surrounded. Could definitely see Cullen turn him into a Pro Bowler.
