i think it's more likely to be nembot over wesley but they'll go into camp as equals i think

I would have said the opposite. I read that they raved about Wesley last year but didn't hear anything about Nembot.

Went with Price after some long deliberation. His level of effort when the play is nearing its end is questionable, and he slows down when facing double teams, but the flashes are impressive. He's explosive, twitchy, uses his height to gain advantage in leverage battles, has a plan of attack when facing OTs as far as counter-moves go, and he has an extensive range of moves. He could develop into a solid situational pass rusher and perhaps may challenge for a starting role down the road.

While I don't see more than a DPR, I think he's going to be a darn good one. He looks unstoppable at times as a pass rusher.

  3. 1) TJ Watt

    wisconsin-tj-watt.jpg?itok=P_UhAMFE

Watt still doesn't get credit for how good he has been this season. To get 11.5 sacks when you're asked to do so many things outside of rushing the passer is nothing short of impressive. When he rushes, he is absolutely great. He wins with motor, elite hand placement, leverage, twitch and good enough bend. His short area quickness turns OTs into turnstile and I don't see him not translating if his knees are OK and if he's used well.

    2) Pat Elflein

Elflein has owned the 2nd pick more than any other player when I was imaginating mocks during the year. He is a Day one starter that adds strength, versatility, polish, smartness and leadership to our OL. He is absolutely needed on this football team.

    3) Desmond King

A few weeks ago, King said he felt like the Ravens would be a great fit for him, and while I didn't see it at first, now I completely agree. After the addition of Carr and Jefferson, we basically need some depth. How about a player that can be lined up as a FS, SS, in the slot or on the outside, and play CB in a zone or press. King is a physical player that will make an impact very early because he can help us in an infinity of ways.

    3b) Isaiah Ford

    isaiah-ford-catch-pitt.jpg

I was actually happy that he didn't run fast at the Combine because it's going to prevent teams  from realizing he's a great prospect. Ford has all the makings to be at least a very good WR2 in the NFL, from body control to ball skills and attitude, and to be able to snatch him at this point is the definition of a steal. Need meets value.

    4) Adam Bisnowaty

    adam-bisnowaty-of-the-pittsburgh-panther

Bisnowaty is one of the best bargain at OT in this draft, as he has the mobility and the anchor to be a good pass protector, with the nastyness and the leverage to get some push in the run game. I don't expect him to be an All World, but I don't think the dropoff between Wagner and him is going to be too big which is a win for a 4th rounder.

    5)  Wayne Gallman

    3521404-980x.jpg

Gallman is a bit on thin for the NFL but I love his ability to tire defenses and always keep his feet moving. He's a quick runner and has great vision. He needs to progress with ball security, pass pro, gain some muscle and improve some little parts of his game but I really expect him to contribute when his number is called and potentially become a workhorse back. He ran slow at the combine but he is a terror in space, and in the 5th round he's typically the type of bargain that I love.

I'll stop here, not much sense going to the last two rounds where it's usually madness, but I guess a little DL help would be nice too. Have fun with the comments!

Not to mention he's got some seriously long arms. I think NFL Draft profile says he's got 34" arms and 10" hands

Oh, didn't know. But I'm not surprised either, he has a sort of stutter bullrush that is ridiculous. He routinely puts the OT in the QB's face, it's something to watch.

I can never keep 3 guys straight:

    Tyus Bowser

    Tashawn Bower

    Tarell Basham

All 3 edge rushers. All 3 more developmental guys, with length and athleticism but lacking production.

The one from Houston though seems to be getting buzz now in the media ( i think its Bowser) and may be a lot higher on some boards that initially thought.

I just refer to them by their schools at this point... which i think is Houston, Ohio and LSU.

Basham is from Ohio, he's projected to go in the 3rd but I wouldn't call him developmental, he's got a good bunch of IQ and is very aware. He wins by using his hands well and his speed to power conversion is elite. Great burst too.

Howard Wilson is the corner I really want the Ravens to grab in the late 3rd or 4th. I think after a year of being eased into the lineup he could become a starter for us. He just seems to have a ton of natural talent.

Yeah he's really fun to watch.

We will see. I could almost guarantee we will see Lattimore, Conley, Humphrey and White go before he does. His combine wasn't terrible but he isn't as smooth as the other top CBs including Awuzie and Moreau.

I take Wilson before any of the above. Lattimore is the only one that has shown more on the field and his injury history is the most worrying of the entire class (yes, more than Lawson's)

I hated Barnett last year because he was a really poor tackler, but he seems to have cleaned that up

Not the only area where he improved tremendously though. His speed to power conversion and his array of moves come to mind but I really didn't see the same player in 2015 and 2016.

Charlie has been astoundingly accurate with us though. He may legitimately get good insider info about some teams, the ravens being one. That's why it bugged me so bad that he had us taking ANY rb in the 2nd no matter who they were. For like 3 months straight he had us taking the top rb available at 48

Oh, I was talking about the "best OT in the class" label, which is like being the tallest midget in this draft class, not arguing with Walt's int which sounds pretty fair.

Robinson is growing on me but I'm still debating wether it wouldn't be better to just take a RT in the 3rd or 4th and develop him like every OLinemen we have had.

Walter Football's Charlie Campbell is now reporting that we are high on Cam Robinson and have him rated as the number one OT in the draft.

Not to be the negative Nancy, but it doesn't really mean a lot...

Exactly... and I don't hold that against perriman at all but given that part of signing Brandon Carr was about durability I have to feel nervous about bringing in a guy who has already had major injuries

and guys can argue that he's more than a speedy guy and that might be right - but he can't make up for being shorter than the other top receivers in the draft - you can't train natural speed or body type and we have speed on this team and we don't have big bodies which comes back to that idea of getting a complementary receiver which to me sounds like someone a little different to what we already have on the roster

this isn't me hating on Ross either and I'd be happy for him to go to another team and do well but I don't think it should be with the Ravens because we need something a little different a little more

I mean... I'd probably be okay with him if there wasn't this injury history, because he's going to be a good NFL receiver, I just don't know for how long and how often.

I think some ppl are reluctant to want Ross at 16  BC we already have 3 guys who can stretch the feild. However Ross is so shifty and is more than just a 1 trick pony. And it never hurts to have even more speed. Who's to say we cant have 4 burners? That would create mismatches all over the feild and help pad joes stats with some much needed YAC-which our receivers never seem to get.

However if Williams or Davis is there you have to take them.  For some reason I've been seeing Williams drop down in a lot of the medias mocks lately and I'm not sure why. I've seen him fall as low as 30! He seems like the exact fit of what we need in a wideout- but i get the feeling Corey Davis could be the next AJ Green. Joe finally needs a true #1 to compete with the other studs in the North. I've got full faith in Perriman- but a contingency plan and potential dynamic duo never hurts. Having 2 stud Wrs along with Wallace would be huge.

It's just that I've had enough with 4.2 guys who can screw up their ACL anytime...
