  1. He can do everything and be elite at it. Shut down Eifert and Barnidge? Line up as OLB and rush the passer as well as 90% Edge in the league? Or slot corner? You just have to name it with him, I don't know where to begin, he's off the charts. I even saw him line up as an interior rusher... And I also have yet to see a completion against him (for I would say 50 snaps where he covered. He had one INT). He's the next great LB of this league.
  2. Love the three. The first seems to be the best though
  3. Changed my mind when I started watching some tape of Myles Jack. He's the best talent in the draft to me, even better than Ramsey.
  4. While everyone is looking for an upgrade in the pass rush, Guy had 4.5 sacks in 6 games sarted. He will be very decent as a starter, as a pass rusher he's better than Canty.
  5. I've said it already, but I'm from France (the western part, known as Brittany for those who know), and started getting interested in football a year ago.
  6. You made me curious, so I watched more of him. Rest assured, you'll never be alone on his wagon anymore. He blew me away like no prospect before him. We're talking about a guy that can play ILB, CB and OLB or even DE and be elite any way. He's a generational talent, no doubt. (it was 9th, but nobody cares). The point was to bring a player that has an impact from day one and for the next ten years. There is no such pass rusher or CB available at 6. Of course, there might be better choices than Eliott, Treadwell for example, but seeing how much replies I got, I'm happy I put Eliott on the table hehe!
  7. I 100% agree. But to me Ogbah and the other rushers after Bosa have a high bust factor. And we couldn't afford to draft another bust in the 1st. I wouldn't like to draft Spence with the 6th pick. With a trade back in the teens yes. But to me there's a lot of hype right now... I'm still sceptical, off field issues aside, he's not as talented as Miller like everyone make it seem. I'm really high on Floyd and would be ecstatic if we got him in the 2nd
  8. That's where I disagree. To me, if Bosa is off the board, there's no Edge worth it. I'd consider Buckner if he was there but I'm good with Guy to rush from the DE position. Yes, I agree. You need to give an OLB some time to developp. But in that case what's the problem with drafting one later and groom him like we've been doing with many before? Because he won't get you double digit sacks? Leonard Floyd will, given time.
  9. Yeah but here's the thing. We badly need OLB and DB. That doesn't mean we have to draft one in the first if the talent isn't there. Hoping to get some direct impact from a pass rusher is not a good idea, just look at Beasley, Shane Ray, Dupree, Gregory... Spence is not a better prospect than Beasley to me. We could go cb, but Hargreaves will have to prove himself in the combine. The best CB for now is Alexander, and he won't solve the turnover question.
  10. OK, I probably should have explained my choices after all. I agree this draft is a little original to say the least, but pretty much everything has been said about Treadwell, Buckner and co... So a little change sounded good. Gonna get bashed but no regrets! I - According to some sources, Eliott is considered by scouts as a rare talent, on pair with Gurley's, minus the ACL. This might be bold but to me NYG will take him if he falls to them. II - The last time Ozzie picked this high, he took a RB that carried the offense. We don't have that right now. The running game has been bad all season long, and that's because, as good as Allen and Forsett were, they can't carry it. Allen has a damn special talent as a double threat, but he averaged something like 3.9 yds/carry. That's not enough. Everyone kept saying we need a playmaker, Eliott is one of the biggest available to me. III - As much a we need pass rushers and CB, it doesn't mean we must get one in the 1st round and for two reasons: 1) There isn't any CB or OLB worth the 6th pick at this point. Ramsey and Bosa are the only two worth it and by my predictions they're gone. I'm still not sold on Spence at 6. 2) What we lacked at OLB was depth. If we had depth, Doom could have been used on 3rd downs only, and Z could have been put in a more confortable position. What we lacked in the secondary was a playmaking FS. Jimmy and Shareece were good in the second half of the year, they didn't give up the big plays that killed us in the first half. We just lacked turnovers, and that's because Lewis was a non factor and got only flags. Change him for Thompson and we're good, really.
  11. Problem with Eliott? Or is it the choice of a RB in the 1st?
  12. Oops, seems like I have not been understood. I didn't want to argue that the TEs could combine for 1500yds and 18 TDs, but simply that the argument made above made no sense. I think those numbers are unrealistic, 1200yds and 10TD combined if they stay healthy would be my pick.
  13. Flacco has never had as many weapons as he has now. Not projecting 40TD but he was on pace for 4300 yards this season, so why does that sound incredible, with new weapons rising? Williams had the best season for any TE in Ravens history. More than Heap, Gilmore, and way above Pitta, whose numbers were ridiculously low from what I've seen. Williams' numbers as a rookie compare to Jimmy Graham, for example. TE never have a great impact in their rookie season, so it's just normal that he had just 250yds and 1TD as a rookie. Plus, he was the youngest player in the NFL last year, and can physically improve A LOT this offseason.
  14. I do think ZDS takes over for Upshaw, I already prefer Z over Upshaw actually. But if we keep the comparison with Pernell, Z should be a 2-down player that is used to set the edge and pressure the QB when needed. The 3rd downs belong to Doom and Sizzle, the future drafted OLB will split time with Suggs on the other side, that is how I see it. One player we haven't talked much about is Orr. He improved a lot this year and showed nothing but good things when on the field. This year he will take over the starting role opposite CJ and do all the dirty work (coverage, mostly), letting CJ fly around and follow his instincts to make big plays.
  15. Possible, I have seen him mocked in the second already. Would love to get him in the 2nd, he's got an tremendous talent.
  16. Reggie Ragland running a fast (or at least not slow) 40 would make me consider him for a trade back. It's one of my biggest worries with him. If he shows some good stuff as a pass rusher I would be really taunted also, his versatility as a LB would be huge for us.
  17. My thoughts exactly. I think TB is a great trade partner. I see more and more VH3 falling to us, and TB wanting to get him before Miami, will think about giving their 2nd to us. I would have no problem taking Eliott in that case.
  18. Jeff Risdon from Draft Breakdown released a mock today and he has us taking... Ezekiel Eliott. To say I was surprised would be an understatement, but at the same time I've always thought that we lack a worhorse back to carry the running game with power, something neither Allen nor Forsett can do. He gave us Josh Doctson in the 2nd, which I don't hate, but I think there would be better choices. Here's the link: http://draftbreakdown.com/jeff-risdons-post-super-bowl-mock-draft/
  19. Yes, I wasn't on this forum at the time but I remember I read you saying that. Maybe because PFF had the same dream in their first mock?
  20. My thoughts exactly, he seems to get all his burst from his hands. He would be really slow starting from a stand up position. I widely prefer Fackrell, Ochi or Schobert, fast guys with some nice moves that we can get later in the draft.
  21. So I'm quite new to the NFL, Football being nothing in my country, and I was reading this article saying Claiborne could be a target for us in free agency. I never got to watch him play, and from what they were saying he just wasn't in the good environment to succeed, and he could develop as a raven. Again, not knowing him very much, I'll ask your thoughts on him.
  22. Finally got to see some tape of Kevin Dodd, I like him but think he's a bit slow for a 1st rounder. He seems technically OK, but I don't see enough burst. I think he's gonna have an average combine, and we will be able to snatch him in the second round.
  23. I see a higher ceiling for Spriggs, I wouldn't take a guy to become an above average LT in the 2nd round if I thought he was going to become an above average blocker. He's shown good stuff against high level competition from what I've heard, and Castillo can work his magic with him. Iv do agree with the Hurst improvement, which to me is needed. I like Miller in the 3rd, he's explosive and dynamic, and some lessons with SSSr would help him become what we all want to see him become, namely AB 2.0
  24. I still trust Brooks and Elam to make the leap, I just hope they can stay heatlhy and get on the field.
  25. I still don't believe Ngakoue will be available, but that's nitpicking because there will be some good pass rushers in the 4th (Schobert, Fackrell, Ochi, maybe Jenkins...) and the rest of the draft has me drooling. I also find it realistic, which makes it even better. One of my favourite mocks so far.
