  1. Forgot about SF. I would fear a bit less that SF takes him, because they have so much needs, and because Chip Kelly. But that pick would make a ton of sense for them.
  2. I don't think we could grab Myles Jack with a trade back, honestly. Miami seems like a team that would take him without hesitation.
  3. 1000 times agreed that Schobert is a good fit. He's got good vision and versatility, and nice moves as a rusher. I see him as a 4th round guy. I also like Fackrell, he's got this impressive bully factor, seems unstoppable at times. Maybe Correa could fit, but I'm not a huge fan.
  4. Joe Dahl can definitely play as a guard on his first year if we draft him in the 4th
  5. So Myles Jack reportedly won't fully participate in the Combine. Does that change anything?
  6. 'kay, guess I was wrong then, but his athleticism didn't jump on me, on the rare occasions I got to watch him. I'll have to rewatch then, but anyway, it's not like Thompson isn't a good athlete, it's just not his forte. He will put up very decent numbers, I'm pretty optimistic on that.
  7. Then we agree on both points. As for Thompson, I don't think athleticism is that big of a problem when you're a safety and you have his vision and intelligence. Weddle doesn't have superb athleticism if you ask me, and yet is a top5, maybe top3 at his position. Thompson is the center fielder type, always ready to jump routes and excellent when it comes to predicting the play. I'm just starting to see him mocked as a first rounder, and believing he'll be gone before we can even consider taking him. As for Jackson and Fuller, every tape I watched of Fuller he got burnt. I'm higher on Jackson as well.
  8. I remember when you were telling me Thompson with our 2nd was a reach, feels satisfying to see you saying that now Also, I was wondering, is there any chance that Apple falls to us in the 2nd? If not, would you rather have Fuller or Will Jackson III?
  9. Being a stranger to the 4-3 schemes, I can't argue with what has been said. However I think Myles Jack would have plenty of fun in a 3-4, where he could occupy at will any of the LB spot, depending on how he or Pees wants to affect the opponent's weakness. He could be a pain for the opposing OC to deal with, being able to do everything.
  10. I follow the chiefs alot, and I think What they really need is a tall receiver, red zone target. They already have shifty playmakers in Maclin and Conley. Imo they'll take a Josh Doctson type of wr.
  11. Imo yes, our place is perfect to take him with our third pick.
  12. We have 3 4th, and no 5th
  13. He did say "possession" also, and from what I've heard, Boyd could be used that way, the staff in Pitt just prefered to use him as a slot, which he does exceptionally well. Repeating myself, but not Spence, not over Myles Jack or even Vernon Hargreaves. We can get some very good pass rushers even in Day 3. Noah Spence isn't a game changer like other talents that would still be available at this point. Overall it's not bad, just not my taste. Curious to know who you would like in the later rounds though?
  14. I see him being used as an OLB, always lined up on the edge, next to a WR, so that he can either rush the passer or drop into coverage, or be a spy (which, imo, would be silly considering all the other things he could do, but it's Pees). Will do, thanks
  15. The more I see of him, the more I am convinced that if Myles Jack is there at 6, he's our guy. He would add so much more to our defense than any of the CBs or pass rushers in this draft. His talent is truly special.
  16. That's true, hence the "for What it's worth". I just tend to believe him this time.
  17. C'mon... Well then I may be completely unable to see the difference on films!
  18. For what it's worth, Jerry declared he wasn't going to draft a QB. Will have to find the article though
  19. In that case they'd prefer to draft a QB in a later round, they could get a Connor Cook in the 2nd for example and they'd be fine with him I think. This year's class of QB is just bad, it's not worth a 4th pick when you have 5 or 6 blue chip guys that you can't miss on.
  20. Funny, I've heard several times the expert saying Calhoun had an insane first step, I guess that's my limit as an analyst, I can't follow here. He definitely needs to improve his bullrush, I've seen him countless times put a Tackle on his heels and not be able to finish it just because he lacked strength. I still think he could become a very good OLB, he's fluid and can rush from the stand up position better than most of the pass rushers I've seen in this class.
  21. I can't think of any scenario in which Ramsey falls to us. He should be the highest player on both Dallas' and Jax's board, and he's gonna destroy the combine, being the athlete he is. However, I have this feeling that Bosa will not dominate the combine and will slide to us, just like Sizz at the time. For now I think it's between Jack, Hargreaves and Spence (though I'm not a big fan of Spence).
  22. I'm wondering why Treadwell when we could get the same value in the 2nd with Boyd? For now my first round favourite stays Myles Jack.
  23. I'm maybe the only one, but I do think drafting Thompson would solve our problems in the secondary. He has an insane football IQ, is a leader that helps his teammates position themselves, and above anything else a true ballhawk. He's NFL ready and would make a big impact for us. While I like the CBs in this draft, I also think Jimmy, Shareece and Davis are very good corners. Jimmy and Shareece have proven themselves in the second half of the season, the only time our secondary got exposed was against Seattle, and 90% was on Webb imo.
  24. I don't understand how you can know that by watching film (that's a real question) That would be very nice, and they would greatly benefit from each other.
  25. I don't understand the concerns over Calhoun's first step, it's actually one of the fastest I've seen in this class... I do agree that he lacks strength in his hands to push the OT, but he can work on that. Overall, I really liked what I saw from him, and I just started today... I would be thrilled to have him with our 2nd round, he's got everything I'm looking for and can easily transition into an OLB
