  1. Hasn't been talked much about, but if we get Chris Jones in the 4th i'm doing a triple backflip. If coached in Baltimore, he would be the biggest steal of the draft, and in 3 years could be the best at his position with Buckner. His ceiling is stratospheric.
  2. My main concern with Hargreaves is durability. He's got a very agressive style and put his whole body into each tackle. It's great to see, but can his body hold up for a long time like this?
  3. Does anyone have some Tyron Holmes tape? I'm quite intrigued by his stats, no matter the competition he went up against, 18 sacks doesn't come very often.
  4. The arguments are invalid, but as it stands there is actually no way we change the scheme, because we've keeping Pees and the key Word this offseason is stability. The cap point is a valid one, actually.
  5. Valid point about the WRs, where we disagree is that there are many talented OLB to be taken later in the draft. You could consider guys like Ngakoue, Jenkins, Ochi or Schobert (not Correa) to have a comparable talent, and I grade all of them as 3-4th rounders. Maybe you disagree on that point, I will admit Fackrell may be my favourite on the list, but I don't see him as a 2nd rounder. Actually, I think the 2nd may be the worst spot to take an OLB, as I don't see any pass rusher worth it behind Floyd and Dodd. Maybe Calhoun but I'm still hesitant.
  6. I'm not saying you shouldn't take Fackrell. I'm a huge fan of his, but you can get him in the 3rd. In the second you can take either a good WR like Boyd or Doctson, either a good DB like Thompson or WJ3. In the 1st round you take BPA, always.
  7. See, that's the problem. I don't consider Jack an ILB. He just can do everything and is randomly put as an MLB in UCLA because it's a position that enables it (that's how I see it anyway), but don't consider him an ILB. The ceiling is not the same, but he kinda reminds me of Thomas Davis as an OLB, built like a thumper who lays big hits, is able to rush and cover. I'm not sour on Hargreaves but I'm also on the Jack train. Fackrell in the second is a reach, but I like the Ochi and Hargrave picks in the 4th. Maybe Chris Jones instead of Hargrave if he's there.
  8. In my case I didn't want to hear about an ILB in the first round, but you did push me to watch some of his tape, and I needed 30s to admit I was so wrong.
  9. We've been killed by short passes, I'm done being victimized by Barnidge and co... Myles Jack comes in and solve 50% of our coverage problems.
  10. Apart from Bell once, I haven't. Joseph's injury, coupled with his size/play style that favors injury should scare teams before the end of the 2nd, and I haven't seen Neal higher than the 3rd very often.
  11. Mosley had injury problems coming out of college, that's why he dropped to us. In the end you can't predict that kind of stuff. And I think Pees is more flexible using his LBs than other positions. Anyway, however you want to use Myles Jack, he'll make an impact, so I'm not worried.
  12. The more I look at it, the more I am convinced that we will either end up with Buckner or Myles Jack.
  13. Rick Wagner? I don't see the link
  14. Like I already said, KC already has guys like Conley or Maclin that have a style ressembling that of Shepard, they need a tall, red zone target, like a De'Runnya Wilson for example (if Doctson is gone).
  15. TE isn't a major need, but TEs do get injured quite often, so 3 TE in the roster isn't too much, and Pitta is as good as retired, so I wouldn't be shocked if we drafted another late round TE.
  16. Love it. Simply love it, maybe what I would have come up with if I had to make a mock right now. Didn't get to watch Cooper, will have to now, I had Shepard as a good 3rd rounder, but it may be too optimistic.
  17. I've always liked Clahoun, but apparently he's got a bad first step (something I can't judge really) and that would prevent him from succeeding at the next level. When it comes to moves and speed I don't see any difference. I've sait it countless times, I'm not high on Spence.
  18. Same here. Jackson III should be available though and he offers pretty much the same. But... No pass rusher before the 6th round? I would take one instead of the FS or the second WR.
  19. I do like the Hargreaves pick. He is still the best corner to come out in a few years. My only problem with him is that he seems so small and thin, yet just throws himself to make tackles. As a result, he makes plays in the run game, which is to be very appreciated, but I worry about how long can his body hold up his play style. I may be overreacting, my lack of experience is speaking right now. How can you have 4 4th round?
  20. I think it was with Flex that I discussed about Jackson. I like the Jimmy comparison, he's got that same physical style but not overly agressive FWIW. He has some ball skils too. I still think I would prefer Apple over Jackson. Will have to watch some more tapes, but I've seen WJ3 lucky against FSU that the QB didn't throw it deeper, what should have been a TD turned into an INT. Overall I really like WJ3 with our 2nd, Jack being my first. Boy would our defense progress with those two paired with Jimmy and CJ...
  21. Allow me to participate. I think Apple will be gone before us, whether it's Dallas, SD, Jax, Tenesse, Cleveland, almost every team before us would want him. Also, if I had to choose between Thompson and Fuller, I'd take Thompson all day everyday, mostly because I don't like Fuller. And while I understand the fact that you like other safeties, we've wasted many picks on safeties that didn't pan out, so I'd take the most NFL ready, the one with the fewest chances to fail, and the one that looks like a future Pro-Bowler, namely Thompson. I view him as a "no-risk" pick, really.
  22. I see Schobert becoming a fan favourite here. He's a good fit for our defense and like you said, a hard nosed guy, hard worker. People have been using the JJ comparison, I think he fits that mold.
  23. I'm starting to believe we have the exact same vision of this draft lol! I just would take Jones in the 4th, that's where he's predicted to go.
  24. https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2016/02/17/draft-bosa-buckner-top-pffs-first-2016-nfl-draft-board/ Not a mock draft but quite interesting, some will suprise you. Number 8 had me very intrigued. Also, I was happy to see Schobert get some attention. I would love to have him here.
  25. I will agree 1000 times with you. First, the fit at OLB is a dumb question. ZDS was projected as a 4-3 end and nothing else, yet he had one of the best season for a rookie Edge Rusher last year. And I also totally agree for the 4 blue chips thing, and Buckner being a fine Back Up plan. Personnally, I would prefer Bosa, because of the differences in need. They have similar talents, but selecting Buckner would waste the talents we have with Guy, Urban or even ZDS who will eventually play some snaps as an interior rusher.
