To be honest, and I don't really know how to explain, I don't view Shepard and Boyd as playmakers. I just don't see them as the reliable ace that Higgins was for Colorado State. Higgins seems more special, to put it simply. He's the whole package: tall, fast, smooth, good route runner (though he didn't face good CB to prevent that), reliable hands... He's kinda like what Marvin Jones or Mohamed Sanu were in Cincinatti, with a higher ceiling, especially in the red zone.
