  1. We traded for the pick that got us Campanaro didn't we?
  2. I would have said the opposite. I read that they raved about Wesley last year but didn't hear anything about Nembot.
  3. Yeah, trade down is definitely the best case scenario. There's about 20 guys that I want on day 2.
  4. 1) TJ Watt Watt still doesn't get credit for how good he has been this season. To get 11.5 sacks when you're asked to do so many things outside of rushing the passer is nothing short of impressive. When he rushes, he is absolutely great. He wins with motor, elite hand placement, leverage, twitch and good enough bend. His short area quickness turns OTs into turnstile and I don't see him not translating if his knees are OK and if he's used well. 2) Pat Elflein Elflein has owned the 2nd pick more than any other player when I was imaginating mocks during the year. He is a Day one starter that adds strength, versatility, polish, smartness and leadership to our OL. He is absolutely needed on this football team. 3) Desmond King A few weeks ago, King said he felt like the Ravens would be a great fit for him, and while I didn't see it at first, now I completely agree. After the addition of Carr and Jefferson, we basically need some depth. How about a player that can be lined up as a FS, SS, in the slot or on the outside, and play CB in a zone or press. King is a physical player that will make an impact very early because he can help us in an infinity of ways. 3b) Isaiah Ford I was actually happy that he didn't run fast at the Combine because it's going to prevent teams from realizing he's a great prospect. Ford has all the makings to be at least a very good WR2 in the NFL, from body control to ball skills and attitude, and to be able to snatch him at this point is the definition of a steal. Need meets value. 4) Adam Bisnowaty Bisnowaty is one of the best bargain at OT in this draft, as he has the mobility and the anchor to be a good pass protector, with the nastyness and the leverage to get some push in the run game. I don't expect him to be an All World, but I don't think the dropoff between Wagner and him is going to be too big which is a win for a 4th rounder. 5) Wayne Gallman Gallman is a bit on thin for the NFL but I love his ability to tire defenses and always keep his feet moving. He's a quick runner and has great vision. He needs to progress with ball security, pass pro, gain some muscle and improve some little parts of his game but I really expect him to contribute when his number is called and potentially become a workhorse back. He ran slow at the combine but he is a terror in space, and in the 5th round he's typically the type of bargain that I love. I'll stop here, not much sense going to the last two rounds where it's usually madness, but I guess a little DL help would be nice too. Have fun with the comments!
  5. While I don't see more than a DPR, I think he's going to be a darn good one. He looks unstoppable at times as a pass rusher.
  6. Count me in.
  7. While I agree with the above, I do think Cam might be the BPA at 16 in some cases and I would be truly glad to have him. With Joe it's definitely more important to have an elite OL than an elite WR corps, so double dipping on the OL in the first 3 rounds isn't out of the question at all if you ask me.
  8. With the 7th pick in the 5th round the LA Chargers select: Rasul Douglas, CB, West Virginia
  9. I really would like Ejuan Price in round 4.
  10. Carl Lawson has greatness written all over him. I wouldn't mind him in the first tbh.
  11. Oh, didn't know. But I'm not surprised either, he has a sort of stutter bullrush that is ridiculous. He routinely puts the OT in the QB's face, it's something to watch.
  12. Basham is from Ohio, he's projected to go in the 3rd but I wouldn't call him developmental, he's got a good bunch of IQ and is very aware. He wins by using his hands well and his speed to power conversion is elite. Great burst too.
  13. From a measurables stabdpoint and based on the tape, Tarell Basham looks like a dream fit.
  14. Yeah I remember that from last year too.
  15. Yeah he's really fun to watch.
  16. Man, with all the TJ Watt cutups released today, you really see a special guy. He can get so quickly in the backfield.
  17. Here's my bold statement of the week: the 2018 RB draft class will be better than this year's.
  18. I take Wilson before any of the above. Lattimore is the only one that has shown more on the field and his injury history is the most worrying of the entire class (yes, more than Lawson's)
  19. If he's triple covered, there's a good chance we'll get a DPI.
  20. Did I miss something?
  21. Not the only area where he improved tremendously though. His speed to power conversion and his array of moves come to mind but I really didn't see the same player in 2015 and 2016.
  22. Oh, I was talking about the "best OT in the class" label, which is like being the tallest midget in this draft class, not arguing with Walt's int which sounds pretty fair. Robinson is growing on me but I'm still debating wether it wouldn't be better to just take a RT in the 3rd or 4th and develop him like every OLinemen we have had.
  23. Not to be the negative Nancy, but it doesn't really mean a lot...
  24. I mean... I'd probably be okay with him if there wasn't this injury history, because he's going to be a good NFL receiver, I just don't know for how long and how often.
  25. It's just that I've had enough with 4.2 guys who can screw up their ACL anytime...
