  1. With Dixon and West set as the 1-2 punch of the future, a nice idea would be to get a Sproles-like lightning in a bottle that could come in the second half and make a tired defense pay, hit the hole and take it very far if not to pay dirt. One guy I would think of for that role is Jahad Thomas, who's heavily undersized but comes out like he's shot out of a cannon.
  2. The most underrated defender has to go to Des Lawrence imo.
  3. What I thought before watching the Vandy game.
  4. He reminds me of Nassib last year, great production that he got with good bend and an ability to pin his ears back, but i don't see enough strength at the point of attack to warrant a 1st or even 2nd round selection.
  5. Oakman wasn't even good.
  6. You don't judge the success of a player based on his first year as a pro. We got Correa and Judon instead of Spence, who came with off the field issues, interviwed horribly and had a disappointing combine. Spence's sacks are mostly coverage sacks and came because there's no one else at the position in TB
  7. He's judged as «undrafable» by teams. At least one team is going to sign him as an UDFA.
  8. Joe Mixon is the guy that directly comes to mind. Also there are rumors of Dede Westbrook having a domestic violence issue as well, so there's that.
  9. To me best case bar none is to get 3 picks in the second instead of one pick in each round. That would give us an elite C, a great pass rusher and a great CB.
  10. I'd agree it's optimistic but not unrealistic. King has lost a huge amount of love this season and his lack of speed worries scouts. It'll depend on his combine.
  11. Jeremy Sprinkle.
  12. Disagree. There are at least two interior OL I'd take in the first, namely Elflein and Nelson. I think the scout thought more about the OT class because otherwise it's solid enough.
  13. I think all of his problem come from the mental side of the game. He has all you would need from an EDGE to set the edge and defend the run from a physical standpoint. However his major problem is he doesn't keep contain and is undisciplined. Honestly I think this type of stuff is something we teach very well, the best example would be Judon whose tape never indicated a guy that could care about the run, and yet we made him a very decent run defender.
  14. A bit bored right now, so I'll try my very first big board ever. Here goes: 2017 top prospects1. Myles Garrett2. Jonathan Allen3. Reuben Foster4. Jamal Adams5. Mike Williams6. Dalvin Cook7. Leonard Fournette8. Tim Williams9. Quincy wilson10. Malik McDowell11. Solomon Thomas12. Takk McKinley13. Sidney Jones14. Derek Barnett15. Marshon Lattimore16. Carl Lawson17. Gareon Conley18. Caleb Brantley19. Charles Harris20. Zach Cunningham21. Justin Evans22. Jarrad Davis23. OJ Howard24. Quenton Nelson25. Jabrill Peppers26. Taco Charlton27. Budda Baker28. Raekwon McMillan29. Pat Elflein30. Cordrea Tankersley31. Demarcus Walker32. Jourdan Lewis
  15. Charles Harris' tape against Vandy has 1st round talent written all over it. Loved how many moves he used to win his matchups, and the fact he attacked the T with a plan.
  16. So, I don't know if you guys knew this, but I just saw yesterday: Justin Evans looks like he has freaking good potential as a RS.
  17. Yeah, just saw his SC tape. All things considered he may be 2 or 3 picks outside of our reach. His play this year is lightyears ahead of last year's and he's totally garanteed a top15 pick. My only hope for him to be there when we pick is an average combine, and particularly a slow 40yds, esp considering Williams, Garett and McKinley will crush it.
  18. They're not being talked about a lot lately, but I'm putting McDowell and Justin Evans back on my radar. Even though none of thel is a pressing need, they both have an incredibly high ceiling. Evans particularly needs better tackling but for a guy slotted in the 2nd he has All Pro potential.
  19. I'm not sure we need to change the whole OL. Zuttah has put it together lately, so getting one of Nelson/Feeney/Elflein or even Pocic/Johnson would push our OLine to top 10, possibly top5. A bit of quality depth with guys like Damien Mama or Kyle Fuller on Day3 would be the icing on the cake. Let's not forget we also want a CB, Pass rusher and a WR...
  20. I don't see how he's there in the 3rd, not even sure he's there for our 2nd. Would be cool though...
  21. That may be right. For all the talk about how many weapons Flacco had, I think the one thing he needs is an elite Oline. If he has that he can work with average receivers.
  22. I just saw Solomon Thomas' message to McCaffrey. I think I'm in love with this guy, if we continue to look for A+ character like we did this year he's our guy, no doubt.
  23. Well, it's hard to make a prediction when you don't know who's gonna go where. I'd say Barnett-Nelson-Des Lawrence would be a good start. But that also depebds on how much you value each needs. If you think pass rusher is not the biggest need, Sidney-Nelson-Hubbard would be cool.
  24. My point was more of «you can get starters in the later rounds at CB» look at Tavon or Jalen Mills or Rashard Robinson or Boddy Calhoubn who are doing as much for their teams as Ramsey and Hargreaves. You can't do that with pass rushers. Of course if we get a CB in the first round I'd be super excited to pair him with Jimmy.
  25. Well, McKinley and Williams are going to leave him biting the dust at the combine, and Carl Lawson can go anywhere from top10 to 2nd round. Teams may also prefer Solomon Thomas or Demarcus Walker, you never know... I stand firm that Barnett will go top20, maybe 25. I don't know about that urge for a CB. Coverage was very good yesterday, gave all day to the pass rush to get to Carson... Plus, this class is so good it's boring. I mean, have you seen Gareon Conley and Marshon Lattimore's tape? And media have a 2nd round grade on them? I'm jumping on it if they're available in the 2nd. Same for Cutrer, Lawrence, Douglas who are slotted more in the 4th... To me pass rush and OL are the biggest priorities, followed by CB and WR.
