All of those emails go directly to one person who then funnels them to the appropriate people in the depts. pertaining to the message. We have received several emails from people on the boards and sent replies to each of them.
As we do receive a significant amount of emails, it sometimes takes several days for the message to be sent to the proper person to address it.
Since the announcement about closing the message I have sent three messages on Contact Us and received nothing in return. I did call the Ravens' office twice and did receive a return call. I was told the reason for closing the boards was the dramatic drop in usage. I am a late comer to the boards but I will miss them.

I like dion dawkins a lot because I see him as a more natural RT than either Forrest or cam
I agree with you about Dion Dawkins, he would be the power blocker we need for our run game.

Can make a very strong case that DB was the #1 need for this team anyway. The difference here is that you're looking for needs based exclusively on the 2017 season. Absolutely never a good way to look at things.
You're best corner rarely plays a full season, and you're other outside corner is an aging player who's not shown to be anything other than average... and is only here on a one year deal basically.
Certainly not taking a WR in this spot or probably anytime soon, and the Olineman generally suck.
Only other consideration for me is a pass rusher.
You are correct that neither of us know for sure if Ozzie got any calls or not. What if the calls offered decent value? Do you really believe DB was our #1 need? Why would you think I am thinking only of needs for the upcoming season? I am looking to make our team the strongest in can be every year.
We do have cornerbacks that get hurt as well as players at other positions that get hurt. Injuries at a position of need leave us extremely vulnerable, think of us having to rely on James Hurst.
If we had traded back in the first round there was good value at pass rusher, Oline and cornerback. I understand you like the BPA philosophy and it can be a solid strategy, but when you have little cap room and several holes to fill there are other options to consider.
5 minutes ago, rmcjacket23 said:No it doesn't. It puts you in position to take the two best players on the board.
Corner is without question a need anyway.
Also ignores the fact that it requires at least two teams to agree to a trade. You can't trade with yourself, and there's no trade override button like in Madden.
So the questions you will need to then answer are:
1. Which teams are we trading with?
2. Which player are they coming up to get?
3. What compensation are we getting and how can we be assured that the players we trade back for will be better player than the guys we gave up in the trade?
If you can't make definitive statements about all of these things, then we're obviously not in any position to discuss trades.
Trades are always available. Do you really believe Ozzie didn't get any calls? This draft has a good supply of cornerbacks. I am not saying Humphrey is not a talent. With the number of needs we have we could have traded back and gotten a player who will contribute as much as Humphrey and at position of bigger need than cornerback.
1 minute ago, rmcjacket23 said:And then take another position that isn't a need?
Makes no sense.
What does trading back do?
It puts you in a position to fill at least 2 needs.
1 minute ago, rmcjacket23 said:We don't spend first rounders on needs.
No, you trade back.
Picking Humphrey with so many bigger needs is disappointing.
Please trade back Ozzie.
We should trade back now.
Nooooooooooooooooo, Barnett is gone.

It truly is sad that these boards are closing. I have only been here a short time but I have enjoyed the exchange of differing opinions from true Baltimore Raven fans. I have learned quite a bit here. Thanks to all of you that made these boards a fun place to visit.
