  1. Why would he feel anyother way than dejected... when you observe where this defense has gone in the last 4-5 years, and not may Draft picks hang around after the 1st 3, does that not tell where he is coming from.... Oz has been given a long leash and not many have panned out... Time for Steve B to move on... Oz's legacy should have ended long ago....
  2. So you think a woman deteriorated his play and then he got hurt... and Players (e.g., Haloti) leave and people replace them (e.g., Williams) Detroit didn't miss Haloti, neither did Suggs...This man plays by spirit, and until he can't anymore...This team did not start out with the best D in the league...too many ?marks and No Offense...
  3. Its not career ending like some ponder, but a nice break... This man "Suggs" is a beast and his age is not a factor... and if it were he could be a situational, cut 25% of his playing time and if he wanted to, play for another 3 years...Don't give up on the most dominating D player in the last 5 years...including #52...and if he don't play in Blt, it's gonna be a playoff team...
  4. I maybe in you guys' eyess a "dummy", or "Rookie" but been here longer than most of you been alive...I go back to the Browns era of Brown/Green & Kelley/Scott...I keep seeing what our #1 need is and I keep thinking; Do you get extra picks when you have so many #1 needs? NO, Do you keep filling an empty pot with "Dead Money" on Gambles? NO, Pitta was an injury casualty that can be excused...Monroe was an avg. guy but didn't deserve high priced 4 & 5 pick exclusive, then got a huge paycheck for the next 3 years, and now will be a big ???mark.. Forsett- got his 1 great year as a travel man, we gave him the golden pot and now we're stuck with more dead money.. How bout that center we got from TB, whom they didn't want, whats his price to not play? This team reminds me of the atlanta Braves
  5. This is a shame that this team has been so depleated... once the best "D" in the NFL, to now there is so many ?marks that we would need 3 1st round picks to pull us back to where we once were, "right or wrong", I'm close to the truth...The DB's are pathetic with makeshifts' at Safety & CB..Geee, Kendrall whats his name, whos on second, ha....The LB's aren't much better... Who has torn this defense apart? OZ has not had a good draft in several years, Good Bye Ozzie, everyone needs to accept their faults and leave... Take Flacco withyou and we'll make out with someone cheaper but better, i.e., Mallett, get it....
  6. Upshaw - another one of Oz's super picks... Seems those value picks in the 3 to 5 rounds Oz makes does better with other teams... the 4 & 5 round picks Oz gave up for Monroe probably are pro bowlers, joking....then again!
  7. I so agree... Most of them will retire anyway... Hope Joe takes a cut and moves somewhere else... Mallett could be a better QB in the future, nothing to lose, not much room to do worse.... Flacco makes some very messy choices at the end of games, especially those on the line...Mallett did better with less... my opinion
  8. Dead Money is starting to look like the National Debt... Sorta like borrowing from 1 pot to replace what mistake was made in the other pot.... Poor decisions in the draft and free agency is starting to look ugly... Dumer looks to be the only decent pickup in the last few years and that was fishermans luck... I thought I saw John Simon in the Cinci / Pit game maybe... We cut him and keep an Arthur brown but maybe in another 3 years Brown may break the lineup... Oz, give it up and go back to a desk job, its over man....Mallett is a better qB than Flacco, lets eat some more dead money... 12/13 mill is about all he's worth... Trade him, Cut him, Monroe, Kendall, Hill, etc., etc., and there is a linebacker coming up for contract that needs to see the door.... Just my thougjht
  9. Baltimore has someone as good as Henry with the same physic... there is also 2 young fast backs that got alot of 'GOOD' playing time... Forsett got his 1 year of Glory behind a line that had its best year ever... It happening again is for "Dreamers"... Go with Mallett at QB (did I say that right?) dump Flacco, Oz should eat the Dead Money.... Don't worry about the rb slot...
  10. A bit faster doesn't say much...As for as his size and ability, we have a bruiser...he was missed in the hard-yard scheme but he'll be as valuable as Henry and aLOT cheaper....
  11. Very good...Except: these guys coach/motivate according to their superior... they don't dictate changes... We've been through alot of coaches.... Linebackers are not near what they were 3 to 4 yers ago, neither is the secondary... Elam is a bust, Tor Smith went to another team, it didn't matter, Flacco has a hard time getting the timing right anyway...When is the last time we had a superstar player on Defense...e.g., a #99 that plays for Houston... If Oz gets motivated by how many picks we can gobble up but can't pay off, then he becomes the problem...
  12. I don't see this as a positive move, regardless of the superstar... Is it not possible better options were in the makings? Was it monitary, good ole Joe buddy... This team has sucked in the secondary for a long time... Oz's drafting hasn't been the most flavor... Should have waited awhile... See all that was on the table....
