  1. Id be interested to see how often Upshaw goes into coverage. I think having an Elite edge setter is worth keeping, especially if he plays less than 10% of his snaps in coverage. Mabey he got more snaps in coverage this season due to injuries? Hopefully, that's the case because pees should know his players weaknesses and great DCs put they're payers in sports there comfortable and productive in.
  2. I get what your saying and personally I think McPhee is a better player than dumervil but dumervils contract isn't a featured #1 passrusher contract. He's paid to be a #2 on our defence and his play equals his contract imo
  3. I really hope we keep upshaw. He was one of the bright spots in our run D the last 8 games. Without him I think the run D wouldve collapsed. Id love for him to be the next Jarret Johnson for the franchise
  4. I agree with most of what you said, but I don't think we need to spend money to 'right the ship'. I think this team has the talent it just needs to get healthy which could be done by lowering intensity in training camp.
  5. Perriman and Smith have that playmaking ability and unfortunately they were both injured this season. Suggs is so valuable to our system. I will agree maybe he has slowed down a bit due to age but his ability to set the edge is still elite and in the end that's what you want most in a 34 OLB. If you don't believe me look at how our run D struggled without him. Proof is in the tape, the tape doesn't lie.
  6. Ozzies always said he hates talking to the media so I understand why he may of come across as "lost in space" but really I think it just shows he hates doing it. Personally I think our last couple drafts have been realy strong. Ozzies the king of these under-the-radar free agent pickups. I think our team would be in much worse shape if it wasnt for Daryl Smith, Will Hill, and steve smith. Those are arguabally the best players on our team. Ozzie and DeCosta over any other gms imo
  7. Yea you made some good points. Hopefully flaccos contract gets reworked sooner rather than later because your right a 48 year old could do that offence, and one without a 28 million cap number. I also really like ramsey and think hed contribute from day one. He has elite physical tools and has shown he can use them in tape, but then again what top 6 pick hasn't.
  8. Yea hopefully we can keep him for a while. Even when teams keep the same scheme and change OC's theres still a lag in performance for a bit. Probably why we've finished strong and started slow the last couple years
  9. Yea your right he did. Had the chance to go up against some great edge defenders too. Unfortunately the UFAs at LT are pretty slim this year so that'll only drive his price up. Then again when are there good left tackles on the open market
  10. Dude I don't think we'd draft back to back 1st round receivers. Its not how our offence has been designed sense the beginning. Not only that but if trestman turned us into a top 5 offence I think he'd leave and then were left trying to match an OC with those wrs which seems to look like a headache. I'm liking Ramsey to pair with jimmy so webb(Or whichever safety is playing back) wont have to favour a side and play with more range.
  11. Hopefully KOs short term "tryout" at LT scared teams off willing to pay him big money
