  1. A meteorite recently slammed into Mars and left this giant black stain of a crater

Like Earth, planet Mars is a shooting gallery for rogue space rocks that zip around at tens of thousands of miles per hour.

But the red planet has barely 1% of the atmosphere of Earth's to slow down, vaporize, and break up any of these stray lumps of stone and metal.

It also lacks the flowing surface water and robust weather of our home planet to quickly erase signs of the impact craters these strays leave behind.

As a result, Mars is littered with celestial pockmarks and, occasionally, researchers spot fresh impact craters using orbiting satellites like the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter and its HiRISE camera.

Studying fresh impacts not only helps researchers peek at freshly exposed dirt on Mars, which may have once been habitable, but also helps assess how much risk Earth might face from small yet dangerous space rocks.

Below is a zoomed-out image of one asteroid strike that was photographed just a few months ago, and it shows the giant black stain the event left behind:

  3. When you keep letting steelers hanging around sooner or later they gonna beat you in the last 2 minutes of the game. Thats what close games do. You gotta have QB throwing bombs down the field and have receivers speed down the field, You gotta practice this thats what harbaugh isn't doing during practices. A real tough coach would make players do it over and over again until it catches up perfectly for them. Like run a play and throw 50 yards down the field with an practice squad defense. If they drop it they're start all over until they get it right. And we will be here all day and all night until you do the play perfectly i don't care if you're tired and exhausted you'll do it all over again and again until you catch those passes. Then eventually they learn to catch it. And then game day you should have no trouble dropping these passes.

You do realize times have changed.  Success normally doesn't happen when you go back to doing things how they were done 30 years ago...

Thats how you win NFL games. You try to score 40-55 points a game. I remember Colts put 58 points up the board vs Bills at Memorial Stadium. I was at that game

Colts 58, Bills 20. Dec. 12, 1976. Baltimore’s Memorial Stadium. The most points allowed in Bills history and the worst run-for-the-bus finale in team history.

Post Ray Lewis / Ed reed era, John harbaugh did what? Miss playoffs 3 of 4 years. So I wonder if it was even him or was it Lewis and reed who motivated / carried the team.

Harbaugh doesn't know how to evaluate and improve young talents, often having to rely on old vets. Our top WRs are always FA vets we bring in. Why isn't maxx being used more? Cutting brooks and keeping Kendrick Lewis..really? Keeping Hester out there for that long into the season.

John will probably get another year, I just hope he gets a great OC and Fire pees and his prevent defense. Whenever we get a lead, pees goes into it, drives me crazy. Wish we could just stay agressive.

Thats why im suggesting Ray Lewis becomes the defensive cord. Players will listen to him. Remember when ex steeler Mean Joe Greene retired? He became Steelers  defensive cord and their winning tradition kept going. So why not Ray Lewis comes back and make the Ravens defense return its form.
