  16. Ryan Grigson is out as general manager of the Colts after five years. (AP) Well here’s a somewhat surprising one for a mid-January afternoon: via multiple reports, the Indianapolis Colts have fired general manager Ryan Grigson. It’s another odd decision by owner Jim Irsay, who waited until a disappointing regular season for the Colts had been over for three weeks before making the move, and just days before league personnel executives, scouts and coaches will descend on Mobile, Ala. for the Senior Bowl. Irsay may have bungled things for the second straight year. After the 2015 season, amid multiple reports of turmoil between Grigson and head coach Chuck Pagano, who were both hired in 2012, not only did Irsay decide to keep the pair, he tied them to one another for even longer, awarding both with four-year extensions. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/news/reports-colts-have-fired-gm-ryan-grigson-after-five-seasons-210040901.html See,,Colts are taking risks! Why couldn't the Ravens do the same? Like Firing Haubaugh and Dean Pees.
  17. Tim Lincecum is preparing for one more shot at pitching glory It’s startling sometimes just how fleeting success and stardom can be in baseball. Former San Francisco Giants ace Tim Lincecum knows that all too well. The former two-time National League Cy Young award winner and three-time World Series champion was once poised to become an all-time great and potential Hall of Famer. Then the wear and tear brought on by years of competing and firing baseballs past the best hitters in the world started catching up to him, bringing him to his present day predicament. Now 32, Lincecum is no longer a star. He’s not a major leaguer either. And to be honest, he’s barely on the radar for teams hoping to catch lightning in a bottle with similar reclamation projects. It’s been that remarkable of a fall. One that surpasses his rise to stardom in distance traveled. But to Lincecum’s credit, he’s not ready to give up. Not yet. As Andrew Baggarly of the San Jose Mercury News reported Friday, Lincecum’s agent, Rick Thurman, says his client “is throwing and getting ready for the season.”That means the fact that no one is calling hasn’t stopped Lincecum from pushing to make what seems impossible now a reality later. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/news/tim-lincecum-seeking-one-more-shot-at-pitching-glory-230534632.html Now you wonder why the O's lose? Its because of PETER ANGELOS! He wont even take a shot with bringing Tim Lincecum to Baltimore. Theres an old saying NO RISK,NO REWARD! Look how the Cubs took risks and they won the World Series. When Peter Angelos wont re-sign Jake Aretta he went to the Cubs and became the best pitcher in Baseball. Like i sad before,,Why don't O's fans learn from Baltimore Colts fans by not going to camden yards and two things will happen. One he could sell the team. Two he could move them to Montreal. SO WHAT! LET EM MOVE! And we will get a better team to Baltimore and we can go watch the World Series in Baltimore again. Look how Baltimore stole the Browns from Cleveland,, We saw two Super Bowl championships and the Ravens are a much better organization than the Colts organization. Who knows? When the O's wind up in Montreal maybe the Dodgers will come to Camden Yards and became the Baltimore Dodgers and then we can watch World Series in Baltimore again.
  18. The Pittsburgh Steelers may not have a full night of sleep as they go into the biggest game of their season. According to reports, the Steelers and other guests of a Boston-area hotel were forced to evacuate at 3 a.m. Sunday after a man pulled a fire alarm. Emergency crews responded to the scene as the guests had to leave the hotel in the middle of the night. According to CBS Pittsburgh, the alarms went off for about 30 minutes before emergency crews declared it a false alarm and allowed guests to return to their rooms. https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/steelers-reportedly-forced-evacuate-hotel-142801512.html When i was on another Ravens forum back in 2007 i suggested how Baltimore fans could help the Ravens vs Colts playoffs game. When the Colts were in at the Marriott. That was to drive down the hotel at 4AM drive around the block and Blow horns. And when you do that it wakes up the players. Fans didn't want to do that. It was good strategy to help our Ravens though. If Steelers lose today its our fans fault for not taking my suggestion back in 2007
  19. Well Trumbo is a bad right fielder. Trumbo can play first base. So why not let Chris Davis DH or play right field?
  20. Remember the Movie " The Bronx is Burning'? George Steinbrenner laid down the law on Billy Martin. If i was the Owner of the O's id tell Buck,, Chris will be the DH,,Trumbo will bat 4th and play 1st base. Chris Dave bats 5th! Just like George told Billy Reggie bats 4th!
  21. He does,,Than Nelson Cruz doesn't
  22. Heres another idea,,Why not do it like the NHL does it? Ever watched a hockey game on TV? Right around when a player shots the puck other side of rink its called icing. Then TV goes on a break just for 30 seconds til the face off. Why not when theres a change of possession after a field goal or a TD then you can only take a 30 second time out and then back on air when kickoff begins.
  23. Why not the NFL bring up a TV timeout just like in College Basketball. The NFL tells you when you can put commercial on not CBS or FOX. Just like the NCAA tells you when you can go on a commercial break. Not when the networks feel like it.
  24. Mods warned me about certain things not to bring up on this forum. I gotta becareful here.
