  1. I just want one person on this board to tell me that they truely believe Humphrey was the best pick available. I challenge ANYBODY to tell me that with a straight face. I am ready for Decosta to start pulling the strings
  2. I can't believe y'all like this signing more than if we got Mo. Ozzie been talking all off season about adding playmakers, instant coffee, etc. Carr is not a playmaker! This whole thread keeps repeating how great it is that he is reliable and not an injury risk. Why does that matter if this guy doesn't make plays when on the field? He has had like 2 picks over the last 3 years! At least Mo had talent and upside, Carr is old and you know exactly what you are going to get which is average. But it's cool because he will "stay on the field". That 6 mil a year could have gone to King Dunlap to fix the line and then take a corner in the draft since it's such a deep class! This and the Woodhead signing were wasted money imo.
  3. I would be ecstatic if we moved on from Pees and promoted Leslie Frazier. I think he would be a fantastic D coordinator for us
  4. I think Harbaugh is a terrific head coach. There is only one Bill Belicheck and we don't have him. After that you can make a case any number of guys (Harbaugh included) are in that second group of really good coaches. Is he a defensive or offensive mastermind? No. Does he rely on his coordinators more than most other coaches because of this? Yes. However, it is indisputable that the man is a fantastic leader who gets his guys to compete and play hard every single Sunday. His guys never give up and despite playing teams who are far more talented, we rarely get blown out and always look like we belong. As a fan I cannot ask for much more than for my squad to have a chance to win each and every week. our draft class this year brought a nice influx of talent that produced on the field and played a role in upping our win total from 5 to at least 8 and hopefully 9. FACT. This allows Oz, Eric, John and co. The opportunity to repeat this year and hopefully build on next year. If we miss the playoffs again then we may need to reassess. One final thing. Most of my fam is from Philly and this fan base is starting to remind me of the way Eagles fans constantly complained about Reid despite his success. Look where they are now that they fired him. Look where the Chiefs are with him. Bottom line is this season was a step in the right direction and with John Harbaugh we have it better than at least 80% of this league. Our fans would be wise to remember that and be thankful for what we do have.
  5. From somebody who ran track in college, Perriman may be the fastest person in the league currently. My eyes about popped out of my head watching how quickly he accelerated after catching the ball. He looks like he is plodding because his stride is silly efficient and he relaxes his upper body for maximum efficiency (i.e. No misused energy). Watch Usain Bolt run and tell me Perriman doesn't look similar. When Bolt runs you might think he's going slow because his legs don't look like they are moving that fast until you remember how tall he is and see how quickly he leaves very fast people behind. Perriman made those guys yesterday look like they took bad angles. They didn't. The kid is that quick.
  6. How is that hard to believe? Flacco should not be given close to the same type freedom Peyton Manning has. That's laughable. Look at his play over the last 2 years. What has he done to earn more trust? He has just as many bonehead plays as he does brilliant ones. I think his play the last 2 games has been trending up though so I'm hopeful that continues
  7. Maybe if we did more good things than bad things in a game this season against any opponent other than the browns, but this team doesn't make it easy to heap praise on like you are suggesting
  8. I thought Flacco played pretty well today. Seems the last 2.5 games his play has been trending up which bodes well for us. Hopefully we get Wallace more involved next game and keep looking at Perriman too. The bad: our offensive line is so bad. People on this board love to talk how great Stanley is, but he has shown me absolutely nothing this year. Yanda looks like a shell of his former self, hoping he gets a bit healthier down the stretch because we will need him. Ducasse, Wagner and Zuttah are trash and should be cut next year. Ugly: every pass rusher other than Sizzle. We get zero pressure, it's embarrassing
  9. Hahahahaha. I would take SSS, Wallace, Pitta and Perriman anyday over Boldin, Torrey, Pitta and Jacoby. Don't tell me we don't have the personnel to be better than that offense because that just is not true.
  10. And you know what man? That Cam Cameron offense was better than what we are currently putting on the field. You just made my case for me. That offense was extremely frustrating and I'm no way saying that is what I want, but am merely pointing out that at this point it would be an improvement.
  11. ... Or a pass interference call that changes our field position durastically. You seem to forget that we have a QB with a huge arm that can put the ball in a position for the receiver, like BP, to make a huge grab or get this call. Or I mean we could do what you are advocating and keep going with our vanilla offense that doesn't surprise anyone and doesn't consistently move the chains. How after 10 weeks you don't understand that we need chunk plays to get points is beyond me. Our line isn't good enough to consistently block well enough to ensure we get 4 yards every play and are constantly in 3rd and short situations
  12. Except Perriman is worlds more talented than Jacoby, thus his production should be better. From the fans perspective we have never had a guy with 4.2 speed and built like with a big body like BP is so people are clamoring for him to produce now and honestly I agree he has been pretty disappointing so far. However, he has flashed big time in his limited opportunities so I do think he should start cutting into Pitta and SSS reps. Why we aren't utilizing him to air it out more is beyond me because I would rather see us whiff a few more times taking shots of 15 yards or deeper down the field than these stupid dunk passes to Pitta or Juice 6 yards before the 1st down marker on a 3rd down play. If we took more shots downfield BP would see more opportunities plain and simple
  13. Dude Maxx is definitely injury prone, the guy was always on the injury report last year and missed a ton of practice time with various and assorted ailments last year that I think significantly slowed his development. I hope we give him one more year and actually give him a fair shot to win the lions share of our TE snaps next year, but honestly some of the things you are saying about him I'm just not seeing. Great hands? I mean maybe in college, but not really sure you can say that about his NFL career yet. He had 250 yards last year, too small a sample size to say he is this great pass catching TE with phenomenal hands. Good athlete? Wrong again, my man gets NO separation because he is slow as molasses. Speed is something he needs to work on this offseason in my opinion to help him get better separation and compliment his route running. I am good rolling the dice with Maxx/Boyle/Waller next year because they are all cheap and if they don't produce hey at least we know we can move on. It's not like our TE's are producing this year so it wouldn't be some big loss. Cut Pitta and Watson, too expensive for too little production. Cut Gilmore, guy is always hurt and isn't very good anyways
  14. The real dilemma is we don't have a TE on the roster that is actually good. Kind of funny to think back to training camp when everyone on this board was talking a big game about us having the best TE group in football. I would trade the whole lot of our guys for Martelus Bennett in a heartbeat. 1) Pitta - one good game and has done a disappearing act since. Also can't block to save his life. 2) Gilmore - Always hurt 3) Maxx - Always hurt, but willing to give him another year since we haven't really used him for whatever reason. 4) Waller - special teamer 5) Boyle - Always suspended 6) Watson - Who?? Jk but not really. Time for our fan base to admit our tight ends are trash. If they weren't they would be having more of an impact this season. Half the time I don't even know if we even have one on the field because they literally bring nothing to the table. Hoping Maxx actually shows up next year to solve this issue
  15. Oh daddy I can't wait for Sunday! After watching them beat the Steelers last night (and loving it!) I really think we match up great against the Cowboys. They are no Patriots, we can and will win this game. We will hold Zeke under 100 total yards and no touchdowns, our secondary locks down Dez and I think our pass rush makes Dak just uncomfortable enough to make a rookie mistake. I think our D line hits their offensive line in the mouth and lastly and most importantly this is the kind of game that Flacco comes out and looks good seemingly out of nowhere. Steve Smith has over 100 yards and a TD this week and Perriman catches the game winner. I plan on putting my money where my mouth is and taking the Ravens straight up, hoping the moneyline is at least +275 as I expect Vegas to give us no shot in Jerry World with at least a +7 spread. Ravens 27 Cowboys 24 book it!
