  1. Red flags aside... who is the better prospect Buckner or Spence?
  2. "Combine numbers are only important if you have two guys that are equal at their position" This is what my original comment was based on. I hope you didn't put too much time into your repeated searches. I will admit that Byron Jones wasn't the greatest option due to the fact that he actually had impressive film and did well his rookie year. For an older example that can argue that combine numbers only matter for two guys that are equal at their positions is Stephen Hill. Without his combine I highly doubt he is taken in the 2nd round. He was 6'4" and had a good 40. Same thing with Margus Hunt.
  3. Okay well if we go that route that we literally don't and won't know anything for certain about the draftt
  4. The argument was that the combine only helps players that are equal at their position. I am saying, without the combine, that there is zero chance that Byron Jones is selected in the 1st round. Year after year players help or hinder their draft stock due to their performance in the combine
  5. I love this mock. Very realistic options at all of our picks and address' our needs as well.
  6. That has nothing to do with my point. I am saying he was drafted in the 1st round strictly because of his combine performance. Many didn't even have him ranked as a top 10 CB
  7. Yea Byron Jones was projected 1st rounder the whole offseason....
  8. I think that's too inconsistent of an issue to use that argument. After RG3's first season every single redskins fan would've said it was worth it. If it wasn't for his injury they probably would still say that. Plus there's teams that have given up a lot and it has worked out for them long term. Falcons moved up to the 6th spot to get Julio and he's been a monster for them since 2011
  9. So just their 2nd pick this year and next years first? Or that plus their 1st this year?
  10. Yea if the Ravens were to trade I'd rather them get a 1st round pick for next year. As of right now I wouldn't know how far back we would have to get for that asking price, but I see a team like Houston who is QB needy and team and the absolute downfall for their season was awful QBs. They've got a good defense and DeAndre Hopkins so this biggest missing piece is QB. Their draft pick (#22) IMO is not a reflection of their record. They were 9-7 and their division wasn't great this year. Andrew Luck was out more many games and the Jags are making great progress and that was without the 3rd overall pick. Below is the link to the Texans schedule and I think the Texans are an option that have been slept on regarding trade options. If we did make this trade I feel like it would look great this time next year http://www.fbschedules.com/nfl-16/2016-houston-texans-football-schedule.php
  11. Good point. The Ravens may be better off taking Jaylon at 6(if that's the guy they really want) than trading back and HOPING that he doesn't get picked. He just had his surgery a few days ago so we'll know more about his recovery in the upcoming month. I hate looking at all of these things so early into the offseason cause so much can change with events like senior bowl, combine and pro days but with the Ravens having such a high pick it's hard to not stay involved
  12. Exactly, and prior to injury most teams he was definitely top 5 on their big board and was heavily considered as the a potential 1st pick in the draft. I hate to say it but I really hope his draft stock falls. If Tunsil, Ramsey, and Bosa are gone at 6, I would love to move back and pick him. Two teams that have been projected to take Jaylon Smith are the Bears and the Raiders. The Eagles and Rams are two teams that are potential trading partners. If we traded with the Eagles we'd be more likely to land him than if we traded with the Rams. My favorite part about Jaylon Smith is his character matches his game. As much of a stud as he is on the field, he's got great character and is definitely someone who could lead our defense for the next 10 years
  13. This may(does) sound absurd, but I feel that because we're getting Perriman back I am not as bothered by the fact that Jaylon Smith will not be ready by week 1.
  14. I wish Jabrill Peppers was in this draft....
  15. I don't know if I missed this, but what're everyone's thoughts on Pharaoh Cooper?
  16. I think Spence and Jaylon's draft stock can fluctuate a lot in the next few months and neither is a lock at where they're projected right now. If Tunsil, Ramsey and Bosa are gone at 6 then this is an ideal situation. I might go with Jaylon at 15 and then trade back up for Spence cause I don't see either of these players making it out of this 1st. I would love 15th - Jaylon Smith 22nd - Noah Spence/Leonard Floyd 2nd - Fuller 2nd (rams) - Sterling Shepard 4th - Paul McRoberts/Rashad Higgins
  17. Yea I am a huge Jaylon Smith fan. I know it isn't our top need but big picture it is. I think my favorite part about him is that he's a class act. He is a stud to stay the least and he isn't cocky or ignorant. Very humble and very well-spoken. The way he carries himself on top his skill could make him a leader for our defense for many years. Also the Ravens have taken advantage of players falling down the board that should be higher and I think now is the perfect time to cash in on that again
  18. I know 6th overall is the best pick we've had since Jamal, but it wouldn't shock me at this point if the Ravens traded with the Cowboys. It seems like all of the guys the Ravens want are also guys the Jaguars very easily could draft (Tunsil, Bosa, Ramsey, Buckner, etc.). It seems like the only guy that both the Jags and Cowboys have their eye on is Ramsey. If Tunsil were to somehow make it to the 4th pick I would be more than okay coughing up a pick or two in order to grab him. It may not seem to make much sense when there are plenty of needs right now, but after drafting Ogden we had a Probowler at one of the most important positions for the next 11 years
  19. Are you talking about Alexander?
  20. With games against Houston and Indy, I wouldn't be too deadset on the Titans picking before us. Yes Mariota being out doesn't help our case but who knows what you'll get from the other two teams. Tunsil in the first would be hugggggge but if not I'm not too worried about it. I really hope that Jayron Kearse falls to the top of the 2nd
  21. I don't know much about salaries and how much cap space the Ravens have, but is there any way the Ravens could possibly trade Monroe to free up cap space along with Flacco to possibly restructure his contract? Resigning Yanda was a huge move but I have a lot of faith in Osemele. I honestly see the Ravens picking top 3 in this upcoming draft and there is a chance Tunsil is available is available at 3 and he'll definitely be available at 2. If the Ravens could Draft Tunsil, and resign Osemele we would have a dominate offensive line. Better blocking allows receivers of all calibers to get open. As long as Flacco is around we probably won't be picking top 10 let alone top 5 for quite sometime. The Ravens haven't been able to draft a Jonathan Ogden caliber tackle since '96. Although there are plenty of skill positions players that we could use, but those are positions you can get later in the draft that can come in and make an impact
  22. I would love for the Ravens to get Tunsil but there's a slim chance he drops to four. If Bosa and Nkemdiche are available at four do you see them sticking with VH3 or taking one of those two?
  23. De'Runnya Wilson ladies and gentleman...
  24. Can't start a topic so I'll lead on this. With the remaining schedule I see the Ravens picking in the 4-6 range. If hargreaves is gone by our pick I hope we trade back (depending on how low our pick is) to the early to late teens for the 1st this year and next, along with 2nd for this year. 1st round: Ogbah 2nd round: Jayron Kearse 2nd round: Josh Doctson 3rd round: Sterling Shepard
