  1. If you pick enough different players, essentially everyone will be on "your" wagon
  2. Yea since when have the Ravens been afraid of someone to tell it how it is
  3. Yea i love it when the "scouts" on this page analyze every mini aspect on this page and seem to have issues with every player but Tunsil. This is my first year following this forum but I would've loved to see what people had to say about studs that've been drafted these past few years that were reaches or lacked this part of their game etc. Often I see people promoting how people are finally starting to like the same guy as them, yet since before playoffs everyones opinion has changed about 5 times and each time they're just as convinced, if not more that the new guy is the one the Ravens NEED to get etc. Within hours after the senior bowl Spence was the guy, now he's not. Treadwell is the best pick, now he's not.
  4. Worst case we move Flacco to CB and sign Kyle Boller
  5. If there was a Von Miller type player (which i see nobody near what he was coming out of A&M) he wouldn't fall to 6. Treadwell is far less impressive than AJ Green was at the combine. AJ Green is 2" taller, bigger hands, longer arms, ACTUALLY ran the 40. If AJ Green was in this draft there'd be no question the Ravens would take him. Another thing that needs to be taken into consideration is the depth at the position and unique skill set a player can provide like Jack or Ramsey. There are about 5 receivers with a late 1st - 2nd round grade on them. Jack is a top 10 talent and then who Ragland who's the only other LBs that could/would be 1st rounders are Ragland and Darron Lee
  6. Exactly, and we will never know unless/until he does test positive. To put it into a number, what would you say the actual likelihood of it is happening? Based on his history since the incident is 100% clean (to our knowledge). Stallworth plead guilty to DUI Manslaughter yet he managed to play in the NFL (ravens included). People make mistakes. The same mistake doesn't happen twice. So until he gets involved again it's hard to say he is LIKELY to be a repeat offender
  7. Harbaugh stated at the combine they've offered Osemele an "aggressive" deal
  8. That is a major "if" though. He's been testing negative for it for over a year now so it's not like it is a part of his life anymore.
  9. 1st Bosa/Buckner 2nd Jackson/Apple 3rd Scooby Wright 4th Schobert OR 1st Jack 2nd Jackson/Apple 3rd Sterling Shepard 4th Matakevich These two scenarios would be my realistic ideal situations. Tunsil and Ramsey are a guarantee to not make it to 6
  10. Then how come players don't have to deal with on a yearly basis in the pre-draft process? I agree that something he did over a year ago and hasn't had any run-ins since is a pretty good sign he won't resort back to ecstasy. However, your argument that "everybody in college that partied did X" is very poor and that should not be your case as to why the Ravens should draft him. If it's "just ecstasy" than what makes you think his stock will fall? In your mind who would we trade back with in order to still be able to get him? In no scenario do I see a trade back partner with a pick earlier than the Eagles
  11. Would turn the Ravens into a reality tv show
  12. If the Cowgirls really want to go QB that could make them a potential trade candidate for the Ravens. The Ravens are moving up two spots and the Jags aren't a threat to take a QB so that'd be more of a reason that the they'd move back two picks, get more picks and still get the QB they want. Now the question is would it be worth it for the Ravens to move up for a guy like Bosa or Ramsey and sacrifice a pick or two. Ramsey and Bosa are both guys that (unless both are there) will be picked up by the Jags. Many people have mentioned the drop off in talent after Tunsil, Bosa, Ramsey, Jack, and Buckner. With one QB taken, one of those guys to make it to us, but would we rather grab the guy we want or wait for the one remaining of the five to be our only choice. It's a good situation to be in but something I figured I'd bring up
  13. Yea, i meant more along the lines of what would make him a no-brainer pick. Odds are there's a guy that is the best player at their position and what would Ronnie Stanley have to do in order to be the more reasonable pick being the 2nd OT off the board as opposed to Myles Jack being the LB. Stanley isnt a sexy pick but everyone would've loved if somehow Tunsil could've been our pick. I really hope Tunsil is the 1st pick cause I'd hate for the Cleveland game to be the reason we don't get him.
  14. Is there anything Stanley can do at the combine to impress that fans and be more deserving at the 6th overall pick?
  15. Would this be enough of a reason for him to actually to actually fall to the 2nd? I know there has been a lot of talk on other posts pre-senior bowl about moving up in the 20s to grab Spence. If he makes to the 20s is he someone that it would be worth trading up for to get?
  16. Horrible imagination... If you think it would've only cost a 5th round pick to move from 17 to 11 then we should trade Morgan Cox for the 1st overall pick
  17. I really don't understand why people are so quick to say Ozzie isn't drafting them like he used to. I wanted to look more into the Ravens draft history before I posted anything but after I looked into I found more supporting the fact that Ozzies still got it. Since 2011 Ozzie has drafted plenty of key contributors to the Ravens success and/or done well elsewhere: 2011: Jimmy Smith Torrey Smith Pernell McPhee Tyrod Taylor 2012: Kelechi Osemele Courtney Upshaw 2013: Brandon Williams And for the more recent years here are guys that have had tremendous progress and very well have potential to become big-time difference makers 2014: Mosley Timmy Jernigan Crockett Gillmore It's too soon to jump to any conclusions about how good our most recent rookie class will be in a few years but I feel like Ozzie deserves more respect. The issue with the Ravens is that we cannot afford to keep all of these guys we draft.
  18. Yea it would be great timing with the arrival of Frazier. FWIW, on Reuter's 4 round mock today he had Jackson going the Dolphins in the 2nd so I'm not sure if he would be a trade back nor trade up target for the 2nd. If we went for him we would probably have to take him with our 2nd pick which I am all about
  19. Would love the Ravens to grab Jackson in the 2nd and address WR in the 3rd whether that be Shepard or Higgins
  20. Agreed, Buckner is a stud and I'd love for him to end up with the Ravens. I cannot wait to see the numbers he puts up at the combine
  21. Everything I came across was about him accepting the fact that he messed up claiming to have his eye on his dream now etc... Taking jimmy smith at 27 is far from equal to Spence at 6. Marijuana is something that multiple guys in the NFL have gotten caught up in. Gregory, Le'Veon Bell, Honey Badger and many others. I think Ecstasy is far more severe than marijuana. Also if he's a DE, many of us would love to take Buckner so I'm not certain as to why it was wouldn't be a need at all last year but now is a position analyst believe they'll address if Buckner is there
  22. If you're basing it on that though, then what justifies the Ravens passing on Randy Gregory in the 2nd. Off the field aside Gregory was the #1 OLB yet there were 5 taken before him
  23. There also is the big difference in the Ravens take Jimmy with the 27th pick opposed to the taking Spence with the 6th pick. Regardless of how long ago it was, it's scary to take a guy that high with the extra baggage he's bringing along. Just to clarify I like Spence but not at 6
  24. I like Buckner more but don't see the Ravens passing on Bosa
  25. I would love if the Ravens didn't address Safety this year, experimented with Webb and then were able to grab Jabrill Peppers next year
