  1. The more I read about Humphrey the more I love. Barring injuries he should have plenty of time to hone his craft without being rushed into service. For the second round I want them to go back to Alabama and draft LB Ryan Anderson. This kid will play with a chip on his shoulder. I love his quote from the other day, It sounded like a certain person from Ball So Hard U. "I train hard, I work hard, but I ain't no workout warrior," Anderson explained. "I don't care about broad jumps and long jumps. I ran at the combine and I'm fast enough to set the edge -- nobody beat me on the edge. I can run with tight ends. I can cover running backs. Football is football. I'm a football player. All that other stuff, you can break it down however you want to break it down. It has nothing to do with football." Here is where I would like them to go: 2. Ryan Anderson 3. Carl Lawson 3. Ethan Pocic 4. Antonio Garcia 5. Chad Hansen 6. Donnel Pumphrey UFA. C.J. Beathard
  2. To me we need balance in this draft. 1. Reuben Foster LB 2. Taco Charlton DE 3. Sidney Jones CB 3. Ethan Pocic C 4. Samaje Perine RB 5. Chad Hansen WR 6. Bryan Cox Jr DE
  3. Who say's you couldn't have Wallace, Smith and, Perriman? They could use one of the TE's in the slot since they can't block?
  4. Here is my BOLD draft prediction: At pick 16 the Ravens take Tim Williams. Then make a deal with the devil and trade the Pats the 2018 1st pick and the 2017 4th round pick for Jabrill Peppers to play Safety. In the 2nd round they select Desmond King. In the 3rd round the Ravens take both D’Onta Foreman and Zay Jones. 1. Tim Williams 2. Jabrill Peppers 3. Desmond King 4. D’Onta Foreman 5. Zay Jones
  5. It would hurt, But I would be ok letting both Williams and Wagner walk. Only if we went after Hightower and House. Both of those guys fill bigger needs ML and DB. Pierce proved he could step up and we can find a RT in the draft. With Orr retiring and the fragility of Smith two W's for two H's is a better play.
  6. Ronnie Stanley will not be 36th in 4 years.
  7. If the first 5 rounds went something like this I would be happy: 1. Teez Tabor NFL COMPARISON Darius Slay 2. T.J. Watt NFL COMPARISON Paul Kruger 3. Zay Jones NFL Family pedigree 4. Obi Melifonwu NFL COMPARISON George Iloka 5. Donnel Pumphrey NFL COMPARISON Warrick Dunn 6. Antonio Garcia NFL COMPARISON Tyron Smith
  8. Bringing in guys who are over 30 only prolongs the truth. This team needs to get younger and fresher not older and stale. Yes, it was fun having Mason, Boldin, and Smith, but it never fixes the issue. Sure they play like a Raven, but they are not homegrown. This team has never had its own offensive Identity. It always plays second fiddle to the defense, that’s why Joe has to endure so many OC’s. Stop trying to bring in tough guys who fit the mold of our D to play offense. Instead cultivate a new identity for the offense to flourish. In 2014, the team could have moved up 5 spots (possibly trading the 2015 Perriman pic) and chose ODB instead of Mosely, in the second round they could have had Jarvis Landry, but the chose Timmy Jernigan, and in the third round they took Crockett Gilmore, instead of Devonta Freeman. Sure Mosely is a great player, but the Ravens stuck trying to hold on to past defensive glory, while teams around the league are becoming more offensively evolved.
  9. If Brandon Williams does not sign here, I could see him signing with the Texans. Vince Wilfork is possibly retiring. The Texans have no big name unrestricted free agents to sign, and have 18 million in cap, plus another 5 from Wilfork. To me Baltimore and Houston are the logical choices. Speaking of money, it’s nice to see a Keenan Reynolds investing his NFL/Navy money wisely buying 1,000 shoes.
  10. With Juice and Williams pending contracts, I don't see the Ravens spending that type of money. I could see them waiting to see who gets cut, or go for a less expensive option with a giant chip on their shoulder. See Steve Smith and Mike Wallace. So, who fits that mold; former first-rounder Cordarrelle Patterson. He said in a recent article "Two years I spent damn near on the sideline. That's never a good feeling for any player. No player wants to go through that," he said. "I need to know if I'm going to play or not. If not, I'll take my talents elsewhere." He wants to make sure that whichever team signs him plans to actually use him. He also fixes the Ravens KR issues. If only there was a former teammate who left the Vikings recently who felt the same way that could recruit him to Baltimore??? Mike Wallace…. Marty, G. Roman, and Joe could implement more of a spread offense with Wallace, Patterson, Perriman, and either Campanaro/Moore/Waller/Rookie/or a TE. SPEED, SPEED, SPEED, and more SPEED!!!
  11. Believe me, he'll be available for us in the second should we decide to take him. Won't be surprised if he is available in the 3rd as well. Player rankings don't shoot up after a senior bowl game imho. I kindly disagree, with so many GM’s, and scouts at the senior bowl, if you have a nice game at the Senior Bowl it tends to elevate your draft stock. That why a guy like OJ Howard went. Case in point Joe went from a marginal 2nd to 3rd round pick to a 1st rounder. If he does well at the combine, and at his pro day, couple that with his Senior Bowl, his stock will rise fast. Plus, WR is thin this year.
  12. After watching Zay Jones, this kid is the real deal. His father and his uncle played in the NFL, they will help him transition. There is a reason he is the career leader in receptions with 399. How many balls do you think his uncle Jeff Blake threw to this kid teaching him route running. If this kid has a good combine and pro day he will rise fast. With both the Browns and Chicago in need of a WR, I don't see him lasting past them in the 2nd round. The Ravens need to take him in the first, besides he already is used to wearing purple playing at East Carolina. Corner is deep this year in the second or third target a corner like Adoree' Jackson.
  13. To me Onwuasor is the man for the job inside. Correa should be moved back outside and play his natural position where he had 12 sacks as a sophomore and 7 as a junior. As for WAAY TOO early draft thoughts, we all agree this team needs playmakers. These 3 would make me happy. First Round: Jabrill Peppers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8wQa5tYznQ Second Round: Adoree' Jackson https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ROTgXqxyzq4 Third Round: Donnel Pumphrey https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oK5GpJoxI3w
  14. Except for one play, he was perfect this season.
  15. Since these “WHAT IF’S” don’t mean a hill of beans. Let’s go with another version. With the 5th instead of Jamal Lewis (RB) they draft Brian Urlacher (LB) who was drafted 4 spots later ensuring Priest Holmes stayed a Raven. With the 10th pick instead of Travis Taylor (WR) they draft John Abraham (DL) who was drafted 2 spots later. In the 3rd round instead of Chris Redman (QB) they Draft Laveranues Coles (WR) who was drafted 4 spots later. In the 5th round instead of Richard Mercier (G) they Draft Marc Bulger (QB) who was drafted 15 spots later in the 6th round. In the 6th round they still draft Adalius Thomas (LB), but instead the drafting Cedric Woodard (DT) with their last pick they take undrafted Shaun O’Hara. So: Vs. QB Marc Bulger Chris Redman WR Laveranues Coles Travis Taylor OL Shaun O’Hara Richard Mercier LB Brian Urlacher Jamal Lewis LB Adalius Thomas Adalius Thomas DL John Abraham Cedric Woodard
