  1. I think the reason people (myself included) are critical of the Correa pick is because we passed on prospects who are producing right now, call it unrealistic or harsh but people want immediate validation that we made the right pick and right now he's not a proven commodity.

Probabaly because the games he missed we lost and I don't think that's a coincidence. I think you know the importance of the LT position. The difference in protection has been obvious when Stanley is playing.

His absence didn't make a noticeable difference to our production in the air or on the ground, Terrence West had his three best games (and only 100 yard game) when Ronnie was out.

Most likely because he has had tons more of an impact on the performance of the team.

How do you figure? he missed a third of our games and isn't exactly lighting the league on fire. Compared to last year our offense is worse, our ground game is worse and we're on pace for more sacks allowed.

Now look at our defense, from 12th best run D last season to FIRST.

He does have physical talent though. But sadly I don't know if he can get big enough for the NFL. So his physical talent just doesn't translate

Youre right he does have physical talent just not for the edge. He has a narrow frame that is maxed out and he's no leverage monster or athletic freak like other undersized pass rushers in the league.

From memory when I saw his tape I thought his pass rush production was a result of his effort, and he didnt seem to read what was happening and where the ballcarrier was.

Obviously I hope Im wrong about all of this lol.

  5. I didnt like Correa before the draft and had to warm up to the idea after we picked him, but at some point we have to be realists and acknowledge that effort doesnt always replace physical talent. Maybe he can play ILB but I seriously doubt he can hang on the edge, in one of his first games he built up a head of steam only to get pancaked by a stationary lineman.

  6. I want to see him take more responsibility instead of sharing the blame around saying "we" and "us", the responsibility is weighted more heavily to him as he runs the offense and gets the big money.

On a positive note he doesnt seem to have the post injury yips anymore, so hopefully hes heating up and start getting SSS and Wallace involved, if Flacco keeps throwing checkdowns theyre going to become very unhappy very quickly.

sacks != pressure. You don't have to get sacks to put pressure on the QB, which Graham is more than capable of doing. Sacks are good, but Graham can put pressure on the QB making him an important piece to that defense. It's why we all wanted Judon playing instead of ZDS. It's because Za'Darius cannot put pressure on the QB, and all his sacks last season were effort sacks.

    Stats aren't everything.

Sacks work on all QB's whereas pressures work on some, how many times have we seen Ben scramble out of the pocket and make an easy completion? Stats aren't everything but sacks are better.

Because he broke his ankle he is injury prone? what other injuries has he had

From memory he blew out his knee in high school, missed a few games in BYU with shoulder and ankle injuries, then he missed OTAs and minicamp with back problems, now he's got a broken ankle.

As much as people hate on Upshaw, I'm sure a large majority of us would take him back now after watching Za'Darius try to set the edge.

Interestingly the Falcons moved him to DT.

Im no scout, clearly, but Spence, Ngakoue were guys I really wanted.

And both are proving to be talented pass rushers.

There are three edge rushers drafted in the first three rounds without at least one sack, and we drafted two of them. Ok so maybe it's not Kaufusi's fault that he's injury prone, but we knew that and drafted him anyway so thats on us.
