Scouts will be doing their homework I'm sure, thats where the big names tail off and we need to find gems.
I think Ramsey in about 2-3 years is an elite safety, he's like a more athletic Malcolm Jenkins.
There are tackles that will go undrafted who would be better backups than Hurst, even when he added strength last offseason he was the worst LT in the league. I like the guy but I just don't think he is cut out for the NFL.
There are a lot of great prospects, it's not the end of the world if Bosa doesn't fall to us.
I think we would have to sacrifice Jack and trade down to make the rest happen.

We won the Super Bowl 3 years ago and last year we were at the AFC title game, so do I think he deserves some leeway? absolutely, especially since he doesn't actually develop the players. People need to be less short sighted and see things with a bit of context.

Kapernick and the 7th pick for the Cleveland 2nd overall. San Fran will then still draft a QB.
Wentz behind Kaep is their best shot, but they will fail somehow like they always do
6 minutes ago, Winchester said:He is very inconsistent and overrated. He is downright erratic and seems to not care much for the game. If ravens try him again I hope he plays 14games so there is no injury excuse for him.
Overrated by who? how do you judge his effort? when healthy he is by all accounts a good player, at the most difficult position to fill on the oline.

The heart wants what the heart wants lol
I really think he would make a bigger impact for us at WR
48 minutes ago, Jaybirds said:Urschel at guard then? I still think he's our center of the future. But if Hurst is that scary, we do have other options on the team already. But I guess I have to spell that out specifically.
I think he took some training reps at center last season, I'm a fan of his but I don't know if he'll progress because his offseason focus has been on his studies.
43 minutes ago, Cawtious said:Length... perhaps. Footwork? You need to watch him more closely. He's got very good feet. Playing tight Tackle in college demanded it, as they shifted him based on where their tight end lined up. I still believe he locks down the LG position. Urschel just doesn't have the nastiness and mauler mentality that Jensen does. Urschel will be the consummate Center with more work. Really like him there.
I think he'll take the LG spot but he's not even a proven commodity there let alone on the blindside. Funny how we drafted him to play center and Urschel to play guard.

Well if theyre going to burn a second rounder, it might as well be on another bad QB
1 hour ago, Jaybirds said:I'm really confused why "Jensen moves to tackle behind Monroe" is such a difficult sentence for everyone. That means we still have Monroe. Jensen would be the backup "behind" him.
I do think Jensen has the athleticism to play left tackle, but not the experience. I think letting him focus on just that spot in camp (instead of moving him around) would benefit him, and help us with finding a long term answer at LT. We still have Urschel as a backup on the inside. Not great, but I think it could work if we don't find a lineman we like between now and then.
I have three screens up so I didn't read your post properly. Hurst at guard and Jensen at tackle doesn't make sense, Hurst lacks anchor to play inside and Jensen lacks the length and footwork to play LT.
Jensen is an even worse idea at LT than Hurst, we can't let Monroe go at this point even at 80% he's at least serviceable.

Yeah thats lazy logic, "oh he's fast he can blitz he just needs to gain 20lb"
At this point Alexander could be anywhere from mid 1st to mid 2nd.
The only thing i think he's missing is top instincts in the run game.
The Browns need to take Wentz, but they have such a lack of talent that they're looking down the barrel of multiple losing seasons regardless, Wentz could be damaged goods within 1-2 years. Alternatively they could just build a BPA team from scratch and wait for the right opportunity to present itself at QB.
1 minute ago, trevorsteadman said:So that means he is interested in Lawson or Dodd possibly.
If no QB's are taken above us we could end up trading down, Lawson and Dodd are rock solid prospects.
Mike Wallace makes sense for the right money, good teammate and brings swag to the field. I wonder why he fell off?
The big board in our front office never looks like what we expect it to so I try not to pit too much stock into certain players. I just hope whoever we pick is right for the team, previous drafts suggest half of the top 10 will not pan out.
Brandon Brooks is gone, 8M a year.
The oline market is so thin now we're better off staying with Monroe and promoting Urcshel or Jensen.
9 hours ago, Jaybirds said:I'd add clock management to that list as well. All those games won/lost by one score last year. I think time of possession is a major way to improve our record quickly.
True, the only problem is running backs are never guaranteed to produce regardless of how high they are taken. I guess like any other position there are risks involved.
I like comparisons of play style but not career trajectory, like X player did this so Y player will do the same, or Ozzy picks busts at WR so if we pick a WR with the first theyre going to bust, another popular one is Alabama prospects suck because previous ones didn't pan out.

No safety can thrive with bad cornerback play and little pass rush, I don't think it's a need.
