Damon Harrison signed a 5/46 contract so Brandon will make more, the way these FA contracts are blowing out he could command 10M a year so we have to decide if he is worth that or not. Personally I think it's too much money for a player who isn't a dominant pass rusher, luckily we have Pierce who would be the next man up.

I'd like to see us focus on a deeper rotation with more power players, and we need to put an emphasis on durability.

I'm hoping we can land two in the draft, durability is a major issue.

I didn't say we should cut Gillmore just that we should move on when his contract is up, it's definitely Pittas last year here though. Gillmore/Maxx/Boyle/Waller doesn't inspire a lot of confidence so we should keep looking for upgrades.

Brandon Brooks, he signed for less than we offered KO ($8M) and Stefan Wisniewski who signed for 1.5M a year. Both have scheme diverse traits and can cover multiple positions. Lewis is probably our future RT, hes not really suited for the interior. There are tall guards but the better ones are powerhouse maulers.

I think we should move on from Pitta and Crockett due to age and durability issues, availability should be a focal point if we're serious about being more consistent. As for Boyle I dont like him on our team but I dont think hes going anywhere, luckily he is a well rounded talent and could be a good #2 TE provided he stops juicing. Maxx Williams has to be the guy going forward, he has the most natural talent as a reciever and would probably look a whole lot better in the right high powered offense, we've done him no favors. Waller has athleticism and potential but is way behind the curve.

Last offseason I identified LG and C that needed attention and there were two upper mid tier players who were perfect matches, both signed with the Eagles. This coming offseason there aren't any FA linemen who fit the bill. We need to find our next KO/Yanda in the draft.

I think it's just consistency, theres no point having a lineman who destroys his man one play then becomes a turnstile the next. It also comes down to having the right kind of players and it's no secret that the best guards in the league are former college tackles, now I know Alex Lewis is a former tackle but he's not a powerhouse like KO, Jensen as well but he wasn't much of a technician, so it still comes down to having the right type of players.

We cannot keep ignoring the oline, we need a Titans kind of renaissance up front otherwise Joe could have another lame duck season. The good news is I think we're set at tackle for a few years at least.
