  1. Looking back at Browns college tape he just doesn't look like the same player. But then again neither do Ogletree, Manti Teo, Kevin Minter, Jon Bostic, Sio Moore etc etc. It was an awful MLB class.
  2. Can you imagine a year of Webb and Hill trying to take down tight ends?
  3. Solid list. I have Mad Max, Ex Machina, Selma, Room and Beasts of no Nation in that order.
  4. Our offense doesn't adjust either, it's frustrating to watch.
  5. Diversity, not just an old, old wooden ship that was used in the civil war era.
  6. Ozzie got contrarian nerds mad wild up in this
  7. MegaQuon in the lead
  8. Thad Castle
  9. I like Willie Beavers, he's raw but he has athleticism, power, length and isn't too tall to play guard. I think he's a lock because he has a base skillset to play any position except center. Germaine Ifedi too.
  10. Spriggs isn't strong enough, he will get eaten alive at the next level
  11. I don't know about you guys but every year I just find it harder to project college DBs pro careers, I can't find a successful formula.
  12. The NFL needs a true D league to address the lack of competitive parity, college is just a buffer for high school students to develop their bodies. Right now there are only about 10 maybe 15 quarterbacks that are good and there just aren't enough minutes to go around to see if any of the dozens of unheralded camp arms could develop into an NFL caliber QB, it makes me wonder how many Tom Bradys and Kurt Warners have slipped through the cracks because they didn't get a shot.
  13. The top 10 picks over the last 5 years have been terrible except for 2011, maybe one or two each year has provided an immediate upgrade and/or lived up to draft position.
  14. Lets say if I wanted to block a certain user so I didn't have to see their responses, is that possible on this board?
  15. Do you think he can handle the jump in competition? What do you guys think of Kevin Dodd?
  16. Thanks man!
  17. Well it's a little off topic but lets say a key player chooses to get fat and out of shape during the offseason, then it becomes a performance issue and one that affects the team, I'll point to Eddie Lacy as the most recent example. Now the NFL is not a dream factory for bettering lives, it's a business that boils down to performance in a contact sport. Look I'm a nobody with a username just like anyone here, I don't get to tell anyone anything but this is a discussion board so I'm here to throw my opinion in the mix. Anyway I said what was on my mind so to avoid talking in circles this is my last comment on the issue, thanks for the debate :).
  18. I liked his rookie season he has a rare build and played well, last season when he filled in I thought he was serviceable but a downgrade from Zuttah, it's understandable he had some miscues in a new position but thats all the more reason to put in more work. I can't be hypocritical and pretend like I'm worried about players bettering their lives when thousands have their dreams crushed unceremoniously every year (and nobody cares enough to write articles) and the one whos do have careers leave with broken down bodies and brain damage.
  19. I have nothing against that but how does being the leagues smartest mathematician help his performance? how does it help the team? this is why scouts questioned his commitment to football. I'm being painted as the bad guy here but really, bottom line is these guys are compensated an obscene amount of money to produce on the field.
  20. If his studies were more important then he should have just stayed in college, as I mentioned earlier nothing is stopping him from studying when his career is over. Employers don't pay a premium to their one percenters for them to treat it like a part time hobby.
  21. I've only been here a few months and it seems harder to navigate, I wonder if the previous one was bugged.
  22. NFL needs a D league
  23. His questions are probably examples of details that he thinks should be included in the article, presumably for more context.
  24. I can't be mad at Ngata for his comments, he's got a year or two to make as much money as he can before he hits the real world. I'm more concerned with urschel not focusing on his craft, I understand education is important but he has all the time int the world for a PhD after his career ends. Right now with his rookie contract he is being paid many times more than a full time college professor with a PhD. This reminds me of when Matt Elam spent his first offseason selling shoes at footlocker and came in ill prepared for his terrible sophomore season.
  25. Smith is versatile no doubt, but OLB is a completely different skillset and his size would put him on the very smallest end of that scale. I do like him though, a fast ILB who can cover is worth the 6th overall pick I'm just not convinced Smith can be a difference maker in coverage.
