  1. The NFL doesnt need to make us look bad because the Steelers already made us look bad.
  2. No to either, they would both leave when another HC opportunity presents itself. Bring in offensive and defensive minds who understand what is happening and can make adjustments.
  3. You make it sound like we played like the Browns or 49ers, we weren't great but we were competitive, 5 of our 7 losses were close and we never got blown out. If we had coaches who knew what they were doing some of those boneheaded games could have gone our way.
  4. My take is theres 4 changes that need to happen. 1 We need a coaching overhaul with focus on an offensive and defensive mindset, whether that includes Harbaugh depends on who is available. We need people who know what they are doing. 2 Rebuild the oline starting with the interior, even when Joe had protection this year he rarely played well. Give Flacco a monster ground game and he will play the way we know he can. Next years FA class is terrible. 3 More pass rushers, that means disruptive interior linemen and power edge rushers. Z Smith is not the answer and Kaufusi/KC are way behind the curve. It's time to move on from Doom and maybe even Suggs. This will help our DB situation until we can find the right players. 4 Add some speed to skill positions, if we can clear enough dead weight we can bring in a marquee free agent WR in the future because we sure don't know how to develop one. Other skills positions can be addressed in the draft and free agency. Main draft focus: Offensive line, pass rush
  5. Convince me, make a better argument.
  6. Don't think about it, you'll get depressed.
  7. The defense kept us in the playoff hunt while Joe was playing awful.
  8. If you're going to compare them start with their win/loss and playoff records
  9. He also had 4 years, I was never a fan of KC but as a rookie he deserves another 2 or so years to establish his role on the team.
  10. Our defense kept our season alive but it took him too long to get heated up. Flacco says he's elite and is paid like he's elite, but he isn't elite.
  11. I prefer he stays because he is a known quantity, but he doesn't adapt and is simply too loyal to staff and players who just can't cut it in this league. The danger is his players losing faith in him and each other, if he loses them it's over.
  12. I hope he can do something and isn't just another Arthur Brown.
  13. He needs an Dallas type oline first and foremost.
  14. and replace them with who exactly? a complete overhaul rarely makes a difference, what we have is a lack of talent.
  15. We're a graveyard for receivers, they don't exactly come here to thrive.
  16. It all started when KO walked and we thought we could make up the difference with someone in house. It's also not going to get better next year with Yanda turning 33 and Zuttah with one foot out the door.
  17. Do we ever win when Joe has 50 attempts?
  18. We can beat the Patriots as long as January Joe makes another appearance.
  19. Kirk Douglas turned 100 today.
  20. Correction, you're right he hasn't allowed one in the second half of his season so far. I guess it's funny that we're comparing Stanley to Decker and not Tunsil like we all thought would be a huge star right out of the gate.
  21. Edgar and I were talking scenarios because hindsight is 20/20 and we're suckers for punishment.
  22. Mayock said the Titans wanted to move up for an OT and the trade scenario with us would have been their first and 2nd. With the magical benefit of hindsight we could have landed OT Decker and OLB Spence without giving up anyone. Judon and Spence anyone?
  23. Thats a fair assessment, but even then he's already the best RT in football. If you want the best rookie LT well then it's Decker by some margin, no missed games, consistent run work and zero sacks allowed. He's the player we're hoping Stanley will become.
  24. He didn't have a great game against us (who does?) but he's really boosted their ground game, but he's definitely not as advertised. I said Conklin was the best from the start.
  25. Stanley is somewhere around Tunsils level, both missed games and have had mixed results. Decker and Conklin are operating at Pro Bowl level. Tavon and Pierce should be on the list, maybe Judon.
