  1. Hopefully back to slot, we should be set with Weddle and Hill
  2. He's a great player, hopefully he will see his entire contract and doesn't go into decline too soon. Also hoping he can be a difference maker if we can't fix our pass rush and/or cornerback problems.
  3. Okung has been in the league 8 years, do you know how many times he has played 16 games in a season? ZERO. Players don't suddenly become more durable when they get closer to 30.
  4. I like Doctson if he drops or Peake for upside, Peake could be another Donte Moncrief
  5. He's a better prospect than Nick Martin but he's injury prone, I think he's going to be one of those guys who's always on the injury report.
  6. I think we should look at Wisniewski, he covers all three interior positions and his market is soft.
  7. Tunsil has massive upside but I've said all along that just like Stanley he isn't a safe pick because Ole Miss doesn't run a pro style offense. He basically has no experience/muscle memory with reach blocks, three point blocking and more importantly pass blocking for under center drop backs. These spread/read option schemes run out of shotgun 6 or so yards behind scrimmage, which is the equivalent of a 3 step drop back only. In a the NFL 5 and 7 step dropbacks are 7 to 10 yards, that means vertical sets where youre running edge rushers 1 to 4 yards further depending on the QB drop.
  8. We're not going to hit on every single draft pick and we were never going to pay top 5 LT money to a guard. If you think the world is ending because our oline sucks don't forget a year ago we almost beat the Pats in the divisional round game, one year ago. Forsett ran for 129 years and we gave up zero sacks, KO didn't do that by himself.
  9. Physically he's a good LG prospect, but he needs maybe 3 years to learn a pro style pass set and three point blocking.
  10. Wallace burned bridges on the way out of Pitt, insulting the city and his former teammates. He wasn't a Diva but they turned on him for holding out.
  11. He's fast, but he's a one dimensional career backup. Also I'm hoping we take a look at Stefan Wisniewski, he's better than Zuttah and can play all three interior positions, he also has the anchor to take on power players. He tried to cash in after a 2.5M prove it contract but the market for centers is soft, we could steal him from the Browns (who he's visiting) for half of Zuttahs paycheck.
  12. Apparently we're bringing in Wallace, it would be a good situation in terms of starting at the top of the depth chart with a big arm QB, downside is he's getting a lowball offer and our system never produces big WR numbers and he might be looking for a prove it deal. I would be surprised if we take Treadwell, he's a great player but kind of limited. A trade back for Josh Doctson could work if he falls.
  13. Hill is a great safety and Lewis has proven that he can ball, but how many receivers do we expect them to cover? Earl Thomas would struggle with no corner help and pass rush.
  14. KO got overpaid because he played 4 games at LT. That same money could have brought in Brandon Brooks, who is basically an Osemele clone.
  15. No, the Jags traded Monroe because he was in the last year of his contract and they drafted Luke Joekel to be his replacement. What you are describing with your most recent piece of negationism is closer to James Hursts level of play.
  16. No safety can thrive with bad cornerback play and little pass rush, I don't think it's a need.
  17. Scouts will be doing their homework I'm sure, thats where the big names tail off and we need to find gems.
  18. I think Ramsey in about 2-3 years is an elite safety, he's like a more athletic Malcolm Jenkins.
  19. There are tackles that will go undrafted who would be better backups than Hurst, even when he added strength last offseason he was the worst LT in the league. I like the guy but I just don't think he is cut out for the NFL.
  20. There are a lot of great prospects, it's not the end of the world if Bosa doesn't fall to us.
  21. I think we would have to sacrifice Jack and trade down to make the rest happen.
  22. We won the Super Bowl 3 years ago and last year we were at the AFC title game, so do I think he deserves some leeway? absolutely, especially since he doesn't actually develop the players. People need to be less short sighted and see things with a bit of context.
  23. Wentz behind Kaep is their best shot, but they will fail somehow like they always do
  24. Overrated by who? how do you judge his effort? when healthy he is by all accounts a good player, at the most difficult position to fill on the oline.
  25. The heart wants what the heart wants lol
