  1. He needs work so he could be in for a rough year too, but he doesn't have to be taught pro style schemes and how to run block from scratch.
  2. He's by far the most pro ready, this is another class that's going to get beat up.
  3. He's high cut so he has the same agility issues you see in big corners, I think he would be a really good FS.
  4. He's difficult to place because he's not a 3 down player in our system, strongside on passing downs or weakside when Suggs retires. He's not a flow linebacker and he can't cover he's a rush specialist.
  5. He struggled against taller receivers in deep coverage but that could be because of the zone scheme. His biggest issue might just be durability
  6. He could easily, it seems like the Jags are interested in him though.
  7. Eric Weddle is one of the few players who can shut down Gronk, Webb has man coverage experience. Like I said before we're going to be fine, or at least better than last season.
  8. You are talking to yourself, Harbaugh said there is no FS or SS position anymore and that they're interchangeable. Every safety in the league is smaller than the tight ends they cover.
  9. Weddle is a 5 time All Pro safety, I think he will do ok
  10. The point is he's 6'2" and couldn't cover an ant hole, sometimes size doesn't mean anything.
  11. Webb and Weddle have always been small players but they get the job done. Brynden Trawick was never going to shut down Eifert.
  12. His career is probably over.
  13. It's done now so I'm ok with it. Hopefully this doesn't backfire on us.
  14. It depends on the pieces, if it's Buckner he gets the single gap matchup with the strongside guard, if it's a 4-3 under, hybrid or 3-4 variants he plays DE, if it's a traditional 4-3 he plays base end. Bosa's best fit would be on either side but preferably sam LB
  15. It's a different position, he's going to get beat up by tight ends and running backs
  16. I hope Webb can still ballhawk because he's going to miss a lot of tackles.
  17. Easy cowboy, it was a rhetorical question so no need to feel defensive. He was the best player in our secondary and now it's implied that he's the scapegoat for all our coverage issues.
  18. He was one of the few bright spots last season, our best DB by far.
  19. Exactly how many open receivers is a SS supposed to cover?
  20. I heard he's footlockers best salesman during the offseason.
  21. He was our only good safety last season, especially considering how bad our pass rush and cornerback play was.
  22. Maybe he just wasn't one of "Harbaughs guys" lol Looks like we have more scrappy ST safeties to look forward to.
  23. A 4-3 over uses 3-4 personnel. Davis would line up over the TE and force a double team, that opens up a one on one inside and the Sam LB
  24. It depends how disruptive he can be, we're going to see a lot more 4 man fronts this season. If we play 4-3 over he would play two gap DE over the TE.
  25. He's had a few concussions in his career but that doesn't necessarily mean he has CTE, he could just be upset about Rackley. They can scan for the disease in living athletes now anyway so it's not going to be as prevalent in the future, players will probably be forced into retirement.
