Not all offensive tackles can play guard, being taller than 6'4" makes it more difficult to win leverage battles against shorter, heavier defensive tackles (unless you're a powerhouse like Ogden or Osemele) so if Stanley were to play LG he would have to develop his short area game as a technician. Monroe probably isn't tough enough to survive at guard.

Don't forget that after the Jags traded Monroe to us Joekel went on IR. We might want to clear some cap for the inevitable veteran cuts but then we're one injury away from Hurst rolling into Flacco's knees again.

I don't mind him playing LG, it will be a good place to learn the run blocking mentality he needs in this division and league.

I should say above average, Tunsil is quicker on inside moves but I'm splitting hairs. The times he got beat by Lawson inside and outside he got caught waist bending, presumably trying to match Lawsons power instead of trusting his technique.

I like Kaufusi more than Correa, he's been hugely productive, inside he's a poor man's Buckner and outside he's a poor man's Julius Peppers.

Ultimately we're not going anywhere with Hurst getting thrown into Flacco's knees.

I don't disagree with any of the picks it's just strange to me considering how the emphasis in the war room was about character, I just don't buy that Stanley and Correa were rated higher than Tunsil or Spence.

The thing is if we were beating the drum about character by passing on Tunsil and Spence then why did we take Alex Lewis? this is the same Alex Lewis who did jail time for beating an air cadet unconscious then went on a social media rant against huskers fans. Seems a bit hypocritical.

I think it's his break tackle rate that got him drafted, he's elusive. I really hope so, it's a confusing draft but I trust Ozzie knows more than we do.

Well they're still a .500 team this year at least but they're ascending, they picked up potentially 5 starters who are gamewreckers. You might have a bandwagon next year.

I'm worried that most of our draft is, I hope we look back on this thinking "wow this was a great draft" instead of "hey whatever happened to those guys?"
