  1. My point exactly! Make the most out of your drives. Stay on the field. Give the Cowboys less offensive chances to wear down our Defense and expose our CBs.
  2. We played the best team in the NFL at their place and lost. It was a good game that turned frustrating to watch. The first half was good up until the Cowboys realized what horrible corners we had and started challenging S.Wright and J.Powers in the slot. When I found out J.Smith was inactive for this game, I knew we were going to lose this game. Our front 7 played exceptionally well but the Cowboys did what the Cowboys do...they wear down defenses slowly. Yeah we shut them down in the first half but what happened in the second half? Our Offense was no where to be found once again. They couldn't stay on the field and sustain drives long enough to give our Defense a break. I believe Kevin Byrne posted a something in one of his columns about how we could win this game by keeping our Defense fresh and dominant by chewing up clock on the Offensive side of the ball. Well that did not happen...AGAIN. Flacco continuously breaks down in the pocket. He's afraid to get hit after his knee injury last season. I don't fault him for that but he's definitely different this year, in a bad way because he gets rattled easily now. He's not worth the money the Ravens paid him. I thought our O-Line played well today...well enough for Flacco to succeed. The Cowboys have a mediocre secondary with its starting CBs absent and we couldn't find a way to expose them? We did have some success but it was almost too late....as always, lately. Im frustrated that Flacco still goes to his checkdowns even when we KNOW were GOING TO LOSE. This is a game we should have won.
  3. Just found this out on the NFL website. I knew he would eventually succeed Pees but come on, Monachino was supposed to be a highlight for our future Defense as Defensive Coordinator. This is vey upsetting.
  4. Javoris Buck Allen is turning into a key contributor in our offense in wake of Forsett and Flacco's absence. I enjoy watching Buck play despite our lack-luster season. I also believe he will develop into a star player with the Ravens. With that said, we will have 4 quality RB's next season with Forsett, Allen, West and lets not forget Lorenzo Taliaferro. Its hard to imagine we'll be able to keep all these players on your active roster next season. If this season tells us anything, we need to rebuild and rebuild means looking to our youth. I like Forsett and believe he has earned every dime of his contract but the organization has cut ties with players before. For the sake of cap space next season I believe Forsett will be cut. I believe in the talent we have behind Forsett and for that reason he needs to get cut. Albeit, Ozzie made a big mistake doing so with our receiving corps this year. At least we know our RBs will produce.
  5. He may be an "Ozzie kind of player" but Ozzie almost always picks the best player available and Ogbah is not that player at pick 7. There are other prospects that are valued higher than Ogbah but he would be an intriguing player if he played DE opposite of Jernigan. I just don't see OLB speed or acceleration in my opinion.
  6. If you haven't noticed, the NFL is a PASSING league. Those linebackers I just mentioned would greatly help our PASS defense. Being undersized shouldn't hinder a player's playing ability. There are quite a few LB's in this league who are coverage linebackers and "undersized". With that said, Jaylon Smith is 6'3" and Myles Jack is 6'1", they are not undersized. Linebackers who can cover TE's and RB's are going to be jewels in this league. Considering a top 10 pick, Ogbah is not the best player available at pick 6 OR 7 in my opinion.
  7. I agree with rounds 2-3 but Ogbah is a looong stretch for us to pick him not because we can't but because he is not worthy of a top 10 pick. I see his tape and all I see is Courtney Upshaw and Sam Montgomery. No disrespect to Upshaw because I really like his game but Ogbah is not even a true OLB in which you acknowledge. Even at that, he is not the best player available with pick #7. I'd take Robert Nkemdiche, Myles Jack, and Jaylon Smith over Ogbah any day. Besides, most mock drafts have Ogbah going mid to late round 1.
  8. Exactly, Brooks is very athletic and has a high potential ceiling in my opinion. I still think Lewis is a good capable starter but if our season is already over, considering we are not gonna make the playoffs, whats to gamble?
  9. I believe there is some truth to what you are saying but with that said, If Lewis is already playing bad or injured, should we just let Brooks play and learn a few things? If he makes mistakes theres no harm, no foul. Let him learn from those mistakes. Its not like were playing good enough for the playoffs this season.
  10. Quite honestly, I believe its a scheme and Pees issue. We heard many times Lewis is a MAJOR upgrade from Darien Stewart and our past free safeties since Reed. I mean, look at how well the media is crediting Stewart with the Broncos now. When we first signed Stewart a couple of seasons ago from the Rams, I read he was a sure tackler and hard hitter. He needed to work on his coverage and ball skills. When he did start for us he lacked ALL of those skills especially tackling which is what he was known for. I believe our DB coaches and Pees are to blame. From the moment we signed Lewis we read how he is good in coverage as well as a tackler and an upgrade to Stewart. How is it that Stewart is starting and playing exceptionally well for another team when he couldn't do anything for ours? I bet if Lewis were to sign with another team when his contract is up, he'd play well. Pees is running our DBs and recently signed defensive free agents and rookies to the ground. I still have high hopes for Elam due to his athleticism. Something needs to change with our DB scheme. With that said, I too believe Brooks should start over Lewis. Throw into the fire and let him learn from game day mistakes.
  11. Ramsey is considerably bigger than Hargreaves. Plus, I didn't mention anything about weight so check yourself. Hargreaves will be dominated by the WRs in our division. Look what AJ Green and anyone over 6'2" has done to us over the past few seasons. Hargreaves will struggle more so than Jimmy Smith given his large size. Your crazy for thinking Ozzie will pick another DB that comes from the Gators.
  12. I recently had the chance to look up potential top 10 picks for the upcoming draft as well as a few mock drafts. I see a lot of people bring up Joey Bosa (DE), Vernon Hargreaves III (CB), Jalen Ramsey (DB/CB), Lenoard Floyd (OLB/DE) and Robert Nkempdiche (DT). In my opinon, its way too early to determine our draft pick and potential player. If I had to choose, Id go with Jalen Ramsey or Leonard Floyd. Ramsey can play both CB and Safety. His size is also a plus at 6'1/6'2. Hargreaves may be the better corner but his lack of size (5'10/5'11) is not ideal for a top 10 pick in my opinion. He reminds me of Webb and Elam who was also from Florida. Joey Bosa is a beast and reminds me of JJ Watt but Im pretty sure he'll be long gone before we pick. Nkemdiche looks just as good as Bosa in my opinion and I'd pick him over Bosa. Floyd, however, can play both DE and OLB and is more logical to go to us in a late top 10 pick. He is a pure pass rusher at 6'4. He is a little slim but he is quick, and lengthy. Imagine when he puts on some NFL OLB weight. Remind you of someone? (Suggs). The combine will tell us more than a visual analysis. Go Ravens! Joey Bosa Leonard Floyd Jalen Ramsey Robert Nkempdiche Vernon Hargreaves III
