So for the salary cap experts out there i have a question. is it possible to change the cap hit for a player mid season? Say we have a player with a cap friendly figure that swells in later years (like Joe's is doing now) and 8-10 mil in cap space. After the trade deadline passes where it isn't possible/likely we're bringing in high dollar players, could we turn around an increase that persons cap hit that year by 5-6 mil (i won't say the entire amount because injuries and promotions from PS always happen) to reduce the cap hit on a later year(s)?

you do know the Pro bowl is basically a popularity contest right? has much more to do with who fans like & vote for than actual talent on the field. Fans vote on it. trying to link that with on field success is like saying ice cream trucks cause heat waves beacause they spike in sales in the summertime. Correlation is not causation.

While that's understandable, that doesn't mean abandon the run entirely. 6 carries at the half? no way i can justify that. AP has been running on 8-10 man fronts for years. And while by no means is Forsett even close to being AP, our O-line before injuries was far superior than the Vikes. You can't run the ball twice a quarter and say it's not working. They sure didn't stop throwing when SD got 2 sacks on 3rd and manageable to get us off the field in that game.

Stay positive. there are a million reasons out there of why we're 1-4 but we could also be 4-1 if a few more things had gone our way. Lately it has been the D more often than not but for a few examples look at the recent game. Even though we dropped 30 on Cleveland we can't have 3 and outs ore possessions that take 2-3mins off the game clock when the defense is injured and struggling. When they were holding up in the first half, where did the Offense go in the 2nd quarter when the browns were cutting the lead down? To me, that is the biggest reason we're in this hole.
