  1. I'm sure Dunlap will be an option here. But I think we address the offensive line during the draft. Also ... start believing in Perriman and Moore!! Been screaming this from the start.
  2. Brown, Mangold and draft a corner and pass rusher.
  3. Too busy restructuring the contracts of washed up players.. while Bill sends them packing after the first sign of decline and acquires the 24 year old better version of that player.
  4. I'm not ignoring it. I just don't agree. I don't believe he played lights out... at all. His position was one that I highlighted as needing a major upgrade heading into the offseason. Ozzie went out and got that done. Our secondary will be greatly improved because of it. I prefer younger, faster "depth". He just makes no sense on this roster.
  5. Yes but you quoted me. I never disagreed Webb had a nice pick. Shareece also has some nice tackles. I love Webb. But the fact of the matter is, he's been going downhill fast since getting paid. And I felt last summer Ozzie had to move on, rather than try the Safety experiment. But it was what it was. So I'm more so saying Ozzie made the right move now by cutting him. I was confused at first, but now I understand why everyone was sad. Basically because he's been here for awhile and he's taken pay cuts before, etc etc. I get it. But those who want him back... I don't get because he's a shell of himself and no longer has the skill to be the Safety we need him to be. That's all I'm saying. Not saying he was never a good Raven.
  6. It was also his only interception of the year. Are you saying Webb creates turnovers? Or that he had a nice interception? I'm confused.
  7. I did in my previous post. He's lost his speed. He's a step too late on almost every play. He doesn't create turnovers. He needed to be replaced. ASAP. Ozzie is approaching this offseason with the right mindset IMO.
  8. Unfortunately I did. Which is why I wanted both him and Wright out of the secondary and go with younger players.
  9. Possibly. I haven't quite finished my coffee yet. Could explain things.
  10. It's more than just being sad though. Seems most still want him on the roster.. on the field... in the secondary... in a uniform... after watching last season, I find that mind boggling. Dude isn't good anymore. Bring him back on a reduced salary? Why? As a coach or whatever, go for it. But not on the field.
  11. Yea. Good point. Maybe it's the fact he's been here awhile. A little too long if you ask me though. But point taken.
  12. I know. I just don't get it. Was Shareece a bad guy who went against what coaches asked? This board rejoiced his departure. Zuttah plays while injured for us and is a really good guy. It's Webb. It's not Ed Reed or Ray Lewis. His time on the field was up. Not sure what it is with Webb but the attachement here is strong. And I promise y'all I'm not trying be all Sami here.
  13. Please explain. I'd love to know what everyone is sad about? This was atop my list of offseason moves.
  14. Meh. Not sure why it's sad. He is no longer a good saftey/corner. His speed is gone, and he's a second too late on nearly every play. Should have been released last offseason. This is football. He's not serving a life sentence.
  15. No problem with the BWill signing. Slightly higher than I had liked, but it was a deal that needed to get done. Big fan of Tony Jefferson, love the pairing with Weddle. I like the added dimension that Woodhead brings to the offense. So far the offseason is going as planned in my eyes. Next up is releasing Webb and restructuring Pitta. I look to the draft to fill out a lot of our OL and CB holes. Interested to see if Correa has what it takes to step into Orr's spot beside Mosley. While some see the WR group as concerning, I see some young guys who are ready to step up! Perriman will be a starter in this league. I'm also really high on Chris Moore. As well as Maxx, if he can stay healthy of course. I wanted Wallace gone, but whatever. I can live.
  16. Biggest needs: - Veteran wideout with dependable hands - Young pass rushers (with an S) - RT and general depth on the offensive line - Young CB drafted fairly high to compete with Tavon - Dependable LB'er beside CJ
  17. Tony Jefferson... The real question is.... does Sami approve?
  18. I'd prefer a rookie as well. You don't have to cut Webb now. I just don't want to go into the season with him as a starter.
  19. I thought he played safe. Not lights out. But either way, I think we need to move on. Just my take. Webb is a wrap.
  20. I'd cut him. Despite what rankings say, I thought he struggled last year. Plus, seeing Weddle trying to recruit another safety says a lot.
  21. Agree. - Build the o-line. - Bring in young hungry pass rushers. Move on from Doom and eventually Suggs. - Move on from Webb and Wright in the secondary. Add another piece or 2 around Jimmy and Tavon. Go young. - I also want to go young at wideout. I've said this before. Feature the young guys more. Bring in a fairly cheap vet. Not a Wallace fan by any means. Spread the receivers out and see what they can do.
  22. Doesn't have to be a starter. But I think he'll still be in the mix. Doesn't really matter who starts and who doesn't. I'm just hoping Maxx is ready so we can have a solid TE rotation. Rather than Pitta be out there 95% of the game.
  23. You'll definitely get heat for this, as I did as well when I brought up something similar. I'm all for moving on from Mike Wallace. He's not a good fit here and not the type of receiver we need. I throw the phrase "sure handed chain mover" around a lot. We need one of those. Through a trade or free agency. And it doesn't have to be some elite wide out either. Has to be a player who knows how to get open and hold onto the ball. I'm also a bigger believer in Perriman than most. I think he's ready to be the #2 guy come next season. He has a ton to work on, and he will... he's ready to be thrown into the fire. Also think Camp and Moore need bigger roles. It's all on how we use them. We need to scheme to get these guys open. Hogan and Amendola aren't huge names with all world talents. But they know how to get open and have a system that knows how to use them. Marty will be hard at work this offseason. Flacco will be healthier. I think our offensive line will be stronger with Stanley, Yanda and the additions I'm positive Ozzie will make. I also believe in Maxx. I think he needs to stay healthy and be prepared for a larger role. I think he'll surprise a lot of people given the opportunity. Keep Pitta because of his connection with Flacco. But Pitta can't be the only TE out there. He's a solid possession catcher, but not really a big play maker. QB: Flacco RB: Dixon FB: Juice WR: {number 1 TBD} , Perriman, {experienced slot player TBD}, Camp, Moore, {draft pick TBD} TE: Maxx, Pitta, Boyle Oline: Stanley, Yanda, {veteran center}, Lewis, {draft pick}
  24. We have solid young talent that we need to build off of. I want speed at all positions. Fat trimmed at all positions. We need to be aggressive. Here's my analysis of the roster heading into the offseason: QB: Flacco needs to improve. Simple as that. With a year removed from his leg surgery, there are no more excuses for our franchise QB. Step into your throws with confidence, and limit those costly rookie mistakes. RB: Give the reigns to K.Dixon. He can give you a lot of what Ray Rice did for us. A player who can break tackles and catch the ball out of the backfield. He has to be your full time back next season. I expect him to be a workhorse. FB: Re-sign Juice. FB's come cheap. WR: Bring in a sure handed chain moving WR to start opposite Perriman. We don't need a deep threat here. We need a player Flacco feels confident throwing to on a 3rd & 7, like he does with Pitta. Garcon is one of my early favorites, but with cuts and trade possibilities, other names can surface. Work Camp and Moore into the rotation. Let Wallace and Aiken go. Wallace isn't what we need here. Find players who know how to get open and create in space. (free agency focus) TE: Keep Pitta. Solely because he works well with Flacco. Dependable hands. Maybe redo that contract if possible. It's time for Maxx to show what he's got. Ideally, those are your 2 TE's going into next season. OL: Stanley, Yanda and Lewis are good starts to building a solid line. We still need a Center and RT. Wagner priced himself out and he might not be the guy we need in the run game anyway. I think you work on bringing in a veteran Center, through trades or cuts. Mangold is a player that comes to mind, but there will be others. (free agency and draft focus) DL: I'm fine with moving on from Brandon Williams if the coaching staff is confident in Pierce. I think Jernigan will continue to improve. You continue to draft depth here. We had a solid line all season. Pass Rushers: Move on from Doom. This has to be a key draft focus. The first round pick here should be a dynamic pash rusher. We need speed here. Players with an endless motor, who understand how to get to the QB. You can't rely on 'bringing the house' to generate pressure. Suggs will be back, hopefully at a part time role. Judon should start seeing more time. (draft focus) LB'er: Mosley and Orr are a spectacular dou. No more needs to be said. CB's: Wright and Powers can kick rocks. You need to bring in another starting caliber CB in free agency. A player who can start in case Jimmy goes down, or alongside Jimmy, moving Young to the slot. Draft for depth. We need ball hawks. (free agency and draft focus) Safetys: This is a tough one. I'm certain Weddle will come back strong. But Webb needs to be cut. Time to move on from him. He has the mind, but not the legs to play that position. We need players who can cover ground quickly. (free agency focus) Draft: 1. Pass Rusher 2: RT 3. Depth in the secondary. 4. Depth at OLine. Free Agency/Trades: 1. Starting Wideout 2. Top 3 rotation Corner 3. Veteran Center 4. Saftey alongside Weddle
