Ok, so now that the overreacting is out of my system, let's get down to business.. 1. This offense is absolutely nothing without a run game. Keep handing the ball off and never abandon it. Great things will happen. 2. Stanley needs to get back. The offensive line is a mess and needs to get sorted out asap. 3. T.Young needs to be the starting CB going forward. Keep Shareece far away. 4. Trestman shouldn't get fired mid season mainly because there isn't a better option in house. I don't see him lasting beyond this season though. Saying this, at the same time Flacco is a vet. He should have more control over the playbook and calls. If he doesn't like 3 yard routes on 3rd and 10, then those should be removed. 5. The defense is stout. But we needs to dial up some schemes to generate a resemblance of a pass rush. Suggs and crew aren't beating their mans 1 on 1. It's just not happening. 6. Never stop being aggressive CJ. More things will go your way than not. 7. Harbaugh needs to stick to the script. Kick on 4th. Accept penalties. And stop getting cute.

I don't like the way Harbs celebrated those ugly first 3 wins. We were one play away in each game from being 0-3. Now those same mistakes are coming back around.

My causes of stress... 1. Dropped pass by Perriman 2. Running on 3rd and 9 in the redzone 3. Not taking the 3 pts 4. Abandoning the run 5. Koch continuously kicking the ball to the middle of the field

Never seen a player get so many excuses made for him. He's not a good cover corner and QB's will continue to attack him for big plays. We are just wasting time before benching him.

Agree with Aiken. If he's not catching passes, or doing his job on special teams, he has no business being out there. And whats with the screen passes to Aiken? He has no speed and can't break tackles. Also, once Dixon is back, Forsett is a wrap. Run West and Dixon. I want both of them with a lot of carries. And Wright should not be a starter next week. If he is, then we'll see the same results... balls over his head for 6 points. Let's throw the rookie Young out there. He'll make rookie mistakes, but he also seems to have more playmaking ability than Wright does.

"Pack it in" is a bit drastic. But if the run game continues to struggle, then Joe will continue to struggle, get hit, and throw picks. I personally believe the run game would be just fine if we actually commit to it. Tresman is too quick to abandon it if the first 5 rushes don't go well.

Keys to week 5 1. Get Stanley and Lewis back out there. 2. Start Young in place of Wright. 3. Commit to the run game whether its working or not. 4. Rotate in the young pass rushers when Suggs and Doom aren't getting it done. 5. Blitz!

You spread a lot of negativity around this board, but every so often you do make some solid points. I do think Flacco has a lot to do with the offensive struggles. But he's not the only one. Offensive line has been pathetic. Run game has disappeared. Wideouts are dropping too many balls placed right in their chests. My problem with Flacco though isn't his talent. I think he's proven that he has an arm capable of winning a Super Bowl, now matter which way you slice it. But lately it's been his decision making. It's a combination of his own mental lapses, suspect playcalling and overall offensive philosophy. Joe NEEDS a run game. He needs to operate with a run threat. That opens up the field for his "big arm". It also prevents the defensive line from pinning their ears back and going into attack mode on our weak o-line. He's not Tom Brady.. or Drew Brees where he can sit back there and dice up a defense without handing the ball off. The run game should always be the priority for this offense. And with that said, you DON'T then go out and hire Tresman as your OC... Someone who is known for just the opposite. The year after the Super Bowl you seen Joe struggle because the injuries to Ray Rice. Then Kubiak leaves, and Joe struggles again as our run game disappears.

Basically what I've been trying to say in this thread... Wright is decent, but we need to explore other options that may be better. He's constantly getting beat out there. I don't expect him to shut receivers down, but geez, don't be a punching bag out there either. Make a stop. Make a play. If not, you have to see if other players can.

He's played all of 4 NFL games. Perriman is more of the future than the present. Ideally in time Perriman will take over what Mike Wallace is doing for Flacco.

If Wright is starting next week.... Then idk man. My blood pressure will continue to increase.

If we switched QB's before the game, and kept all coaches and rosters the same otherwise.... I think Flacco would light our defense up. Cleaner pocket. Better player makers. Better playcalling.

Changes going forward: 1. Stay commited to the run. Even if it doesn't seem to be working early on, stick with it. 2. T.Young is the starter opposite of Jimmy. Powers is the slot corner. 3. Dial up more blitz plays throughout the game. 4. Flacco needs to get the ball out of his hands quicker. We don't have the offensive line talent to have him sit back there like he's trying to do. 5. Remove Aiken from special teams.
