  1. 1. Again, these were the kind of ugly games we couldn't win last year. So finding a way to do so this season thus far is a good sign. 2. The cleaner the pocket, the better the decisions Joe makes. We got to find a way to consistently protect him. He's taking way too many shots for my liking. 3. The run game looks to be in shambles. Forsett can't seem to break a tackle to save his life.. and West seems to be just a short yardage back. 4. All week in practice Harbaugh needs to stress the importance of finishing off the QB. Too many missed opportunities for a sack, fumble or deflection. Back breakers! 5. Shareece.... oh Shareece. It's way too easy for a WR to make a play on him. He reminds me of Webb after the knee injuries. Just ways a step behind in coverage... or a step too slow in making a big play.
  2. Why is Flacco consistently targeting their best CB?!
  3. What the Browns just did was clear disrespect for our defense. Hope it comes back to bite them.
  4. Kind of nervous what the Jags will do to us next week
  5. Watching this and then watching what the Pats are doing.. makes you realize just how amazing of a coach Belicheck is. Team is prepared and ready for business. He'd never allow this nonsense to occur on the field.
  6. In fairness, that wasn't what he said. He said Rex would be gone before the final game of the season, and McDaniels should be interested. Hey, it's possible... might not happen but it's not an absurd statement. Also, I dont think there is anything wrong with being critical of the team. I think we'll be better than 6-10 though. But it'll take a lot to get 12 wins. But I'll rooting along the way! We'll know more about this team shortly. Still too early.
  7. I still have Demaryius Thomas dreams for Perriman. Couple bumps in the road, but it'll just get better from here.
  8. I like them a lot. But then again, I also really liked the gold pants from last year as well.
  9. This thread can get ugly fairly quick. Everyone has their own views on this topic and those views should be respected. Players standing, sitting, kneeling etc has nothing to do with 'respect' ... It's all about their views ... and again, those should be respected. There is a lot of protesting going on in this world besides this one. You support the ones you can relate to or understand. You oppose the ones you don't. Doesn't make it right or wrong.
  10. Pats are so well coached it's bothersome.
  11. 1. We found a way to win a close game. That's a great sign. 2. I actually liked the offensive playcalling. Good mix of run and pass. 3. Flacco needs to get the ball out quicker. Trestman needs to dial up more quick passes. Watch some Patriots film or something. 4. Defense looks quick and hungry. I like it. Pees needs to be consistent with dialing up pressure. Never take your foot off the pedal. 5. Offensive is struggling to get the ball in the endzone. Hopefully redzone offense is a topic this week in practice.
  12. I'm hoping for a much improved defense this season. I'm hoping Webb can smoothly transition into the safety position. I'm hoping Jimmy Smith is similar to Aqib Talib and becomes a pro bowl CB later in his career. I'm hoping Mosley builds off his rookie year success and solidifies himself as one of the premier LB'ers in the game. I'm hoping Dean Pees can be more creative with dialing up schemes to get to the QB. We have young guys with motors and need to put them in the best positions to succeed. I'm hoping Suggs can look as good into his 30's as DeMarcus Ware has. On offense - It's simple. Solid run game and protect Joe. Kamar and Wallace on the outsides while SSS works the slot. I have high hopes for Perriman. I think he can be very Demaryius Thomas-ish.... in time of course. Goals for this season are to find his niche and improve his game each week... and stay healthy of course. Hopefully Maxx Williams has been watching a ton of Jason Witten tape. This is his season to differentiate himself. A ton of potential there. The key this season is defending home field. No one should come into the Bank and do as they please.
  13. Wouldn't mind him setting the record for most extra points attempted though...
  14. Can we stop mentioning Butler please.
  15. I usually wake up, grab a coffee from Dunkin' Donuts, go to church, come home and read NFL news until kickoff. My son now has soccer on Sunday mornings but I'll be out well before game time. The year we won the Super Bowl I had a certain red mini football that I held onto during the games. I'd sit when we were on offense, and stand as if I were the middle linebacker during defensive plays. I've long lost the red football. But I have a bunch of random superstitions.... I usually watch the Ravens games alone because conversation stresses me out. I make sure I'm not wearing any colors of the opposing team during the game. I position the remote control in a certain way on the sofa. Everything in the living room must be kept the way it is until the game is over, or out of hand. I only eat during halftime. I do text a lot during games though. But I avoid talking trash to friends (all my friends are not Ravens fans) as it is bad karma. I'm big on avoiding bad karma. I also avoid predicting the outcome of games. I keep it very vanilla when asked ("Tough matchup. If we can establish the run we should be OK"). When my son was an infant, I use to hold him during key drives of the game for good luck. I shoot hoops on my sons Fisher Price rim during commercials to ease stress. Making sure the last shot I take before the next snap is all net. The list goes on... Kind of sad actually.
  16. You can get NFL Sunday Ticket without having DirecTV
  17. Shocking to see Forsett cut. Always wondered if he was more of a Kubiak product though. Either way, good guy and good player.
  18. This is where we all fall in love with mediocre players. Butler is a good guy and played solid in the preseason when his name was called.. But he's not good enough for everyone to get upset over for getting cut. He's just not that good.
  19. Hmm.. I see cap hits of... 2016: 22.5 2017: 24.5 2018: 24.7 2019: 26.5 2020: 28.2 2021: 24.2
  20. Can someone please explain how Flacco makes 22.1 mil per year? It seems they are only going off his extension, which is 2019-2021. But does his salary #'s for the years leading up to that just disappear and not get factored in? Shouldn't it really be considered a new 6 year deal with the extension + remaining years from the last deal?
  21. Richard Sherman was a 5th rder. Optimistic!
  22. Enough with the Spence and Jack stuff. Ozzie isn't picking players with injury and off field concerns. Let's accept that and it'll make this process that much easier.
  23. It's pretty safe to say Ozzie is not going to draft any player with injury or off field concerns ... Jack, Tunsil, Spence.. Doubt Ozzie has much interest in these guys.
  24. Perfect scenario would have been to somehow snag Jalen Ramsey and have him star in our secondary for years to come. But that didn't happen. I'm not entirely huge on Bosa, but I do think he'll be a really good player. I'm content with the selection of Stanley. It's time we focus on our offensive line and getting that as strong as it can be. It protects Flacco and strengthens our run game. Now pass rush and CB are the 2 glaring needs that NEED to be addressed soon. I'm still a bit nervous about who is going to line up next to Mosley at LB'er. I'm all for passing on guys with character and injury issues though. We aren't in a position to be taking many chances with the way things have played out recently for us. QB (check) RB (check) WR (check .. could use some late round picks here though for depth) TE (check) O-line (check... could use more depth though) Pass rush (needs to be addressed) D-line (could use some depth here) LB'er (need to replace D.Smith) Corners (needs to be addressed) Safety (Webb as a starter makes me nervous. We do have former high picks in Elam and Brooks here though)
