  1. Just throwing this idea out there. The ravens could attempt to trade for Kam Chancellor?? The seahawks likely can't pay him what he wants. Then draft the best physical 3 down LB or sign a free agent ilb. The ravens would control the middle of the field in this modern NFL where everybody is throwing the ball around uncontested. Mosley Hill Chancellor and a fast physical 3 down LB to partner with Mosley would strike fear into opposition!! Qb rushers are tough to find and very expensive. But the real key to neutralizing qbs and their weapons is controlling the middle of the field which actually also helps eliminate the big play. I was at the ravens playoff win in foxboro. The real key to shutting them out after halftime was Reed Ellerbe and Pollard controlling the middle and Ray the shorter area of the middle. The patriot WRs were scared and all of their fans knew it!! They were calling Brady and his weapons every name they could think of.lol When the defense controls the short and intermediate throws it makes the blitzes far more effective and Easy to conceal. Everybody wants the impact edge rushers and shutdown corner. But the real key is the collective defense controlling the middle and striking fear into An offense. I know I can be harsh on the ravens flaws. However I am a huge huge sore loser and root for them to win.
  2. They are rookies. But they do not possess the physical attributes of elite receiving TEs. Gilmore is physical with good hands. But he has very little speed with no extra gear. He does not stress a defense. Fat maxx has some athleticism and good hands working for him. Again his speed and skills does not worry a defense very much. Boyle is a slightly less athletic version of Gilmore. They will be effective TEs but far from elite. Everybody thinks every young WR or TE is going to be elite or the next t.o. The Brown\Aiken hype was ludicrous!! Now our TEs are all next Gronk or Gates. Seriously they do not have the physical attributes of Gronk or Gates. Fat Maxx is not much of an upgrade over Gilmore if at all!! The Perriman\Fat maxx selections should have been BPA's. The ravens would have less holes to fill.
  3. There's a good shot Suggs was going to have a down year anyways. I told everybody the ravens are getting old and no true #1 WR. Does anybody think the ravens are fixing all these holes by next year?? Not to mention the money Biscotti is on the hook for. Not just Rice but all the underperformers Jimmy,Webb,Pitta,Monroe. Suggs will be going on 35,Dumervil will be 34. And that is just the big money contracts. Does anybody recall the other all pro guards after they hit 32-33?? Faneca,Allen,Hutchinson,Waters?? Everybody is counting on Perriman to be a #1 and has never shown #1 skills. Mosley and Jernigan took steps backwards without Ngata playing. Wagner has really struggled. Then there are the recognized holes corner,FS,WR,Center, The so called bright spots are pure optimism. The TEs are serviceable, not game breakers like everybody is making it sound like. Neither have game changing, speed or skills or another gear like the elite TEs that can take the place of a #1 WR option. But the Ozzie flock talks like Gilmore or Fat maxx are the next Gronk or Gates or even Todd Heap. I understand everybody thought this team was going to compete for the championship. But to actually believe every WR 6'3 or taller is going to be a #1 WR is nieve. Bad drafting and bad signings have caught up to the ravens. I do hope Mosley rebounds to a pro bowl LB and Jernigan rebounds.
  4. But there is talent available. Ozzie is plain missing. No excuses.
  5. That is actually a very intelligent response. How many snaps did he take?? I know he had 8 sacks as a rookie. And he has rare explosiveness that can not be taught. However as you brought up there is ped use which he claims is adderall. But he did lose weight and muscle tone. I really like him if he can play at his optimum weight of 260. Before his suspension I watched a game where he was unlockable. Not just his burst but he showed surprising power I never knew he had. If he can get to 260 lbs again I like his potential because the ravens do have stouter big body tackles to free him up for his charge to the qb. Whether Irvin or whomever, the ravens need a speed rusher!! That is why I say Randy Gregory should have been the round2 pick.
  6. All good ideas get shot down on this board. Because Ozzie and his flock apparently already have an all pro team. No room for real talent. As a matter of fact they are changing the ravens names to the Baltimore all pros!!
  7. He is that raw yet has more sacks than any raven. You may not like brown but I know you actually think this ravens team is talented. Did you not praise Ozzie's recent drafting?? I apologize if mistaken. This is the worst ravens team ever.
  8. Perriman is not a #1. It shows how terrible the ravens weapons are when fans are going after other teams #3 WR. Many desperate teams like the ravens have shopped #3 WRs thinking they could be starters only to learn they are not as good when an elite WR is not helping them get open. Put another quarter in the merry go round.
  9. My perception of talent?? You actually thought Marlon brown was starter caliber. You called Gilmore and fat maxx "Gems" Irvin is as explosive as von Miller. When a team signs him to be a 3-4 rush olb or DE then we will revisit this thread.
  10. My perception of talent?? You actually thought Marlon brown was starter caliber. You called Gilmore and fat maxx "Gems" Irvin is as explosive as von Miller. When a team signs him to be a 3-4 rush olb or DE then we will revisit this thread.
  11. The ravens biggest problem is they have no dynamic edge rushers. Dumervil seems to have lost a step and will be 33-34 next year. Pees gets a lot of heat but you can not play aggressive when you know your rushers won't get to the QB. Again nobody wants to blame Ozzie for failing to draft a dynamic sackmaster in over a decade!! Point out pees failures but make excuses after excuses for ozzie!! Then fire the coordinator for the players being so terrible!! With that being said the free agent that should be #1 on the ravens shopping list is BRUCE IRVIN!! He will be not only a 15-20 sack producer but a BARGAIN!! Irvin is 6'3 258 lbs and can play traditional LB Duties like man, zone cover, read react. However he is at his best when RUSHING TBE QB!! He is as explosive an edge rushers as there is Is in the NFL. He has built power and an array of moves to mix with his AWESOME get off burst. HOWEVER he is a BARGAIN because he has not collected 16 sacks yet because he is being played as a traditional 4-3 OLB where he does not rush the QB very often. However his best position is no doubt a 3-4 edge rush olb where he could easily collect 12-16 sacks. He is as explosive as Khalil Mack. The ravens stout lineman would free him up to use his speed. I do not know why the seahawks did not blitz him more often in the Superbowl. Or line him up at DE. When he blitzed Vollmer could not handle him!! If Irvin played on a 3-4 team he could challenge for the NFL sack lead. He is more explosive and bigger than vic Beasley and Khalil Mack!! A smart gm will realize this dude needs to be charging after QBs far more often. And best of all he has not played 3-4 olb yet and collected 16 sacks. If he did he would cost over $10mil per year!! But because he is yet to play rush olb he could be signed for about 4 years $30mil. He is the type of player good gms pay for because his best production will be as a raven. Remember Boulware played traditional 4-3 LB and never had more than 7 sacks but collected 16 when he played Defensive End?? Irvin will be a fierce weapon on the ravens Defense!! A rush olb that can cover and read react when the coordinator wants to mix things up and confuse opposing offenses!! He should be the #1 offseason priority. The defensive backfield will look much better once they hurry QBs. He is what the defense needs to set the tone. Irvin,Mosley,Davis,Williams and Jernigan and another LB early in the draft( either mlb or another rush olb) and the front 7 could be dominant again. I like Sean Spence in free agency as well. As for WRs Brian Quick was coming on before injury.
  12. Marvin Jones looks good when An Green takes all the attention.
  13. Upshaw and Elam were BPA's??!! If they were Ozzie's BPA's then oz is further off the reservation than I thought!! I called upshaw a bust after I heard they drafted him after I watched 5 mins of his Clips and CD. Elam I did not think would bust and I did not label an instant bust but in no way did I think he was the best player we could of drafted.Nor did I think he was a round1 caliber. Those scrubs were not even the best defensive players. Who in their right minds would prefer Upshaw over Harrison Smith?? Much less Alshon!! Is Ozzie going senile?? I would much prefer Allen Robinson over Jernigan. Marty Bryant over Brooks Urban or Gilmore. I actually liked kiko Alonso and Alec Ogletree in 2013 in Round1 almost as much as Hopkins. Ozzie's conservative approach costed us Hopkins. How much would it cost to move up several spots to secure Hopkins?? Just as his refusal to give up a mid round pick costed the Ravens Dez and Gronkowski. But Ozzie waits until his back is against the wall and drafts perriman and trades up for fat maxx. If he were more aggressive when there was actually talent and value Gronk and or Dez would be ravens. Carl Davis is not even the best defensive tackle on the board!! Who is happy with the ravens draft picks??!! I am not happy with mediocrity. Even the so called Hits are mediocre. Where does mediocre players get you?? To win the Superbowl the ravens must be better than every other team. Can not settle for mediocre players!! Without a shot to win a championship what fun is watching the ravens. At least get Joe cool a legit WR!! And allow Joe to carry the defense. They will be fun to watch with a dynamic offense. Joe cool should be applauded for what he has done with his joke of WRs. Aiken and Brown would not make another roster if cut. Yet here they are expected to start.
  14. Seriously?? I read your posts my friend and I know you are smarter than that!! Completely different athletes. Some guys have to squeeze every ounce of speed and athletic skills they can while. Others wake up fast and athletic without trying. That is like saying Julian edelman or Kevin Walter does not have to train and work hard on his detail and conditioning because Justin Blackmon could smoke weed and drink all week and rack up 180 yards and 3TDs.
  15. You make some good points. In a nutshell however this is not the 80's. Getting heat on the qb is #1. Wide body run pluggers come a dime a dozen these days. I'm not impressed. To be honest I like our oline far better than Dline. I do think those guys can pull it together and play dominant across the board. It remains to be seen but it is talented enough to do so. Wagner should improve. He is coming off injury. I would like a more dominant center. He may be already on the team in urschel. The Dline I like Williams Davis Jernigan but I would have preferred Michael Bennett or Jarrett over Davis. Or even Davis with Bennett or Jarrett. I just believe in the current NFL the way the ball is thrown around the talent to get to Brady Rogers Ryan Romo or whomever the hot playoff\superbowl qb happens to be is key to a championship. In the playoffs or Superbowl stopping the other teams obscure RB is like winning the peoples choice award. It just does not have that adolescent flare. The run is no longer needed to set up the QBs throws. With that said I think the ravens need 2 edge rush LBs. One must be dominant to set up the other rushers. Dumervil is over 30 and lost some burst already. If anything the air attack makes it easier for Running games in the modern NFL!! The defense needs a dominant edge rusher and a tough leader. I do believe Joe Cool is a franchise QB. With that said give the dude some weapons for crying out loud. Give him a shot to compensate for the defense. Brown\Aiken are garbage. I do not like perriman as a #1. No way he plays to his 40 time and I do not see any route savvy or speed in his routes. I like him as a round3 developmental WR. Not a rookie Ozzie was depending on to be a key part of the offense. I said before that Steffon Diggs will be a better WR than perriman. As will Lockett. The ravens should have drafted a WR in 2014 and or should have doubled on WRs this draft. No Waller does not count!! The guy is so stiff he looks as if he is running on stilts!! Ozzie missed on Lockett and Diggs whom played in the back yard. Both are phenomenal talents. I said it all along, Diggs at the right school and free of injury could have been a round 1 pick. Perriman may be good in a couple years. I do not like him as a #1 at all. I would love to trade for a talented WR yet to breakout like Marqise Lee. He is a phenomenal talent!! The dude had 10 tds as a true freshman in the pac12. If agholor was available he would have been the ravens pick. And although close, he is not quite as dynamic as Marqise Lee. The ravens have some OK TEs but neither are dynamic enough to replace a WR as #1. They are more compliments to a good WR that needs a dynamic WR to take coverage off them. The TEs can be very effective but neither are dynamic. Effective does not win championships. Remember to win the Superbowl you have to be better than everybody. I see far to many fans over excited over far to many players that are average!! The other teams players are getting paid to!! And when you compare many so called gems to players around the NFL at the same position you can see they are solid which is mediocre, not spectacular. Our oline is the one unit that has the skills to be dominant!! If they are intact and playing up to par. Another reason Joe needs a legit starting WR. With Joe and the oline it will the one need that will show up the most and make the biggest difference. I'm not saying Julio jones but a legit receiver with decent speed will make the most noise and open things up for the young TEs. The idea is to find an ascending player that will be better with the ravens and having a franchise qb. I like Marqise. He has a complete skill set. Hurns getting acclimated faster is no disgrace to him. Hurns is a beast as well. What is a disgrace is ozzie and other teams overlooking a phenomenol talent lime that!! He is well coached up and broke every miami receiving record. But tbe coaches and media in jacksonville acknowledge Marqise is more skilled and explosive player when he actually practices. When he had a viable QB and no injuries he was as dynamic as Watkins. He had 10 TDs as a true freshman in a competitive conference and as a matter of fact many college and draft analysts labeled him the best player in college as a true sophomore. His nagging injuries are agrivating but they are not major. And you will not find skills like that for a round4 pick. Paul Richardson could be obtained likely for a round 5pick because of how deep Seattle is at WR and Kick returner at the moment. He has a legit torn ligament but if he returns to form he is very dynamic!! Think Torrey Smith only faster and will attack the football. And a better route runner. As for jimmy I think he is eratic and far to inconsistent to be considered elite. Not worth a big contract!! Malcolm Butler is outplaying him!! Pathetic!! I rooted for him to be elite as well. I would like to sign Bruce Irvin this offseason. He is a 4-3 LB that would be a double digit sack guy if he lined up as a 3-4 olb edge rushers. He is being underutilized. It is great he can cover and play traditional LB Duties at 6'3 255lbs, but he is an explosive edge rusher and would be more valuable as a 3-4 olb!! Which makes him a HUGE BARGAIN!! Because if he already played 3-4 rush olb he could easily rack up 12-15 sacks and loads of pressure on qbs!! Thus command over $10mil a year on the open market!! But being that he plays traditional 4-3 LB and has yet to rush the qb often enough to hit 12-16 sacks he is undervalued and his best football will be as a raven. He is as explosive an edge rusher as there is in the NFL. And he has learned an arsenal of moves. The ravens should be able to get him for about 4 years $30million. He is worth far more than Mcphee!! He is a player a smart gm will overpay slightly when considering his current production because of his immense potential. A Smart aggressive gm knows when to pay an ascending player. He is as dynamic as vic Beasley a top10 draft pick. With Mosley and Irvin the ravens Defense is halfway there with 2 explosive building blocks that can run like safety's and play with a mean streak. I like Mosley\Irvin idea. Ravens could draft the best edge rusher to partner with Irvin and Mosley and with their stout DLine once again have a dynamic defense. Just an idea.
  16. Get Joe another legit WR to go with ss. Give him and the offense a shot to bail out the defense!!
  17. Trolling would be posting his pics and altering them to make him look bad.lol if I knew how to do that. He has hands and athleticism. Just needs to get stronger and faster. Being out of shape actually means he can get better once he builds an NFL TEs body. He could get far stronger and faster. I would say a 4.63 40 or better is realistic IF he gets in shape
  18. That is hilarious!! Lmao
  19. Because I do not agree with you I am a troll?? And fat maxx is not in shape. Not his best shape anyways. Not by far. Just because he is in the NFL does not mean he is in shape. Or can not get in better shape as far as muscle to fat ratio. Look at his combine 40 pics. He looks like a fat WR. He has some talent but needs get leaner, more muscular, thus stronger faster.
  20. In response to Joe needing to play better. Give him another legit WR to line up with SS. Aiken and Brown are jokes. Perriman is a reach in round1. The defense is not going to be dominant. Trade for a legit starting NFL WR and give Joe cool a shot to carry this team. Not saying Joe cool needs a Julio Jones. Just a starting caliber WR that is going to get even better once he has a franchise qb throwing him the ball. Ozzie can not draft WRs so trade for a WR In his prime. I like Marqise Lee. Before minor injuries and a terrible freshmann QB he would have been a top 10 pick. He has blazing speed, lightning fast in his breaks, exceptional body control and good hands. He does need some polishing because he relied on his Immense talent. Just watch how even drafted corners played him. They were terrified of his speed. And unlike Torrey he can run good routes and catch in traffic. He does have minor injuries but for a round3-4 pick the ravens will not find such raw talent.
  21. Really?? I did not watch today's game yet. He has talent but has to get in shape.
  22. Too funny!! Is it really a knee or is he not good enough to play yet?? That is a question. I actually usually agree with mostly everything with you grim. When I posted b4 we talked a lot on email. Can't remember my previous nickname on here.
  23. If you really think perriman will play to round1 status.... What will you say about oz when Perriman and fat max are both busts or mediocre.
