Maxx has a high ceiling?? LMAO!! He looks slower than Gilmore and Gilmore is more of a blocking TE. He is not any faster than Boyle a 270lb blocking TE. He is not the fast athletic playmaking TE he was drafted to be. He runs like a slug!! And in Round1 you should be finding a player that can defend the run and rush the qb. And Monroe was not a franchise left tackle. Joe Thomas is 30 and the Broncos would of traded a round1 pick for him but browns wanted more. Monroe was 26 and NOBODY trades a young franchise left tackle for a couple of mid to late round draft picks!! Monroe is another Ozzie mistake. Even when he plays he is decent at best.

The guy responsible for tne teams talent. $40 mil to a RB that clearly was losing burst and slowing down. He averaged 3 yards a carry in 2013. This is 2015, he is 30 yrs old and the team is still on the hook. Eugene Monroe struggled more than he played well throughout his career. Pitta was recovering from a major injury when he was signed. Jimmy has always been Injured and struggled often when he did play. Canty was brought back. The ravens can not do much in free agency because all the $$ for players that are no longer with the team,old,slowing,Injured or just terrible. Then lets not get started on draft picks but when Upshaw is considered a good draft pick it explains 2 things. How terrible the other draft picks are. And an explanation of how the ravens are 2-6 when fans are content with players like him. The broncos and patsies are always looking for upgrades and to fix holes. They move around tbe draft board for specific players as opposed to picking whatever names are left in the hat when the hat gets around to you. Who do you think could be cut or traced that would significantly help us. I like nick perry and perhaps Harbs getting Aldon back on track. I would give up a 3 for Mingo because of this being a very weak class of edge rushers. And any edge rusher with mingos kinda explosion and raw skill that is already sacking qbs would cost far more than the ravens would pay. It is a gamble just like draft picks. Ravens found some talent in round3 as well as busts. One thing, is will not find an edge rusher with Mingos raw tools in round3 especially in this sorry class of edge rushers. So with his tools he is a better gamble than any edge rusher in any round of the draft. And in coverage he can run with RBs TEs and many Receivers. And as for free agency signing an edge rusher is priority but who is available the ravens could afford?? All I can think of is Nick Perry and Aldon Smith. And the need for edge rusher is great enough that the ravens need to consider drama bargains and hope he keeps on the right track like will hill. With Suggs and Dumervils age it is reason I liked Randy Gregory over Maxx.

Totally agree!! Though I do think edge rusher and WR are neck and neck. I would pay a round3 for Mingo. He has more raw explosion and athleticism than any edge rusher in this upcoming draft. I know he needs work but consider the alternative. An edge rusher with that kind of explosion and athleticism that is already sacking qbs will cost far far more than the ravens could or would pay. And he will be playing on a team in a galaxy far far away. For The ravens to address edge rusher the player they are going to bring in for what they would pay is going to be a feeble attempt to address edge rusher. A significant edge rusher will come only by trade. A good fast athletic edge rusher already sacking qbs costs to much on the open market. I would of liked Mingo.

Hindsight is his job. I would really like a play for Alshon Jeffrey. A youmger faster more athletic Boldin. I don't think he will get a mega contract. At 31 yrs old we will have to wait to see if Yanda is a good signing. Guards seem to decline after that age. Look at Faneca, Hutchinson,Allen,Mankins. If Yanda signing does go sideways it is a signing that makes sense being he is a stud and leader. And it was relatively cheap for a top guard.

Both you guys make very valid points. The ravens are tight against the cap. No way could the ravens compete with teams with lots of cap space for players. However if management wants one dude enough it will happen as long as it is not a $100 mil contract player.

I really like Alshon. He can win on every level of the field. He would be a great pickup. He makes grabs in traffic, he has some deep speed and if he does not separate deep well then that is when Alshon is at his best!! A younger faster more athletic Anquan Boldin at 6'3 219. There are more are various factors that must be considered when deciding if that player will be a highly respected entity in the league. If he is healthy I like Brian Quick. He is a hard worker and was having his coming out party even with terrible qb play before his injury. He would be very cheap with an elite skill set if he is injury free. Cheap talented free agents whom are ready go break out is the way to go. Already coached and acclimated. And just needs some polish, opportunity, system and a hard working motivated team environment. Some others are Zach Brown and OlB Nick Perry. Of players on the trading table I like Jason McCourty although I believe he is making big $$. But so is Jimmy and Jason is actually good. But most of all I like Barkevious Mingo in a trade. He is younger and far more explosive than Hali or Kruger. And he would not cost an early draft pick. The ravens could find their explosive young edge rusher without using a round1 pick and focus on another position of need in the draft.

Pretty good post bro!! I actually like many of your posts. What do you think of acquiring Mingo?? Probably not a edge rusher in the upcoming g draft with his raw explosion and sheer athleticism. He could end up playing traditional LB as well similar to Jamie Collins but a more dangerous blitzer than Collins. And at 6'4 250 lbs he could match up in coverage with any TE. But the big prize is add some muscle and polish to him and maybe he becomes an elite edge rusher. What are your thoughts??

So Cleveland is having a fire sale?? I like Mingo. I think he is similar to Jamie Collins but with more edge rush speed and skill. He may just need a change of scenery and new team,coach,system and positive environment. He could learn from Dumervil and Suggs next year. Could likely get him for a round4 pick. If he works out he will give the ravens that young explosive edge rusher needed without using a high draft pick. I can promise you will not find his kind of raw skills and explosion in the upcoming draft in round4 if at all.

The only reason perriman is not a bust yet is because he is yet to play in the NFL. Lafell a bust?? lol say that to his championship ring he played a major role in. Say that to defenses he roasted. Speak of attention spans. lol, like I said Lafell was getting acclimated to a complex system and did not have a catch in first 4 games. As a matter of fact the offense took off once Lafell learned the system. Which means he racked nearly 1000 yards 7 TDs in less than 12 games in a very complex system that was new to him while competing with other Receivers for catches that played 5 seasons with Brady already. I am not discussing this. Aiken is a useless weight to the offense and Perriman I do want to be a viable player but this injury thing makes no sense. There is no timetable for a return so what is Perrimans real problem?? As much as you would like to see Perriman succeed there is no way he is considered better for the ravens than Lafell being signed so cheap. Sanders and Lafell could of given the ravens 2 legit WRs for less than $8mil a year.

Best TEs?? A glut of average TEs does not equal a pro bowler. I like your idea of drafting an elite WR. However it could be beneficial as well to sign a young WR about to break out buy has never had a QB,system,opportunity or structured work ethic like Lafell and Emmanuel Sanders. This year it could be Brian Quick.

Brandon Lafell wanted out of the panthers!! He in so many words said Cam Newton is overrated. He said Tom Brady allowed him to play fast, hit his breaks at full speed and Tom is going to find him running full speed in stride if he is open. He angered a lot of peeps in Carolina with his statements. But all he said is it is nice to have a rythym QB that allows him to play at full speed and find him in stride if he is open. He did kinda add insult when he praised Jimmy Garappolo's skill to do the same. And remember he could produce far more numbers than he did. However Brady already played 5 yrs with his other guys. Peeps in patsie country are really seriously impressed with Brandons play speed. He outplays his computer numbers and has blown by 4.3 defenders deep. And he is physical and very coordinated adjusting to throws. I see no reason Brandon would not at the very least produce the same or exceed that production with the ravens.

Lafell is a proven commodity!! Aiken is a joke!! Lafell racked up 1000 yards and 7 TDs last year in 12 games as he was new and it took him time to get acclimated to a very complex system. He did not have a catch in first 4 games. Perriman on the other hand has this mystery injury and the team can not give any timetable for a return. Lafell is on the field within his time allowed to heal. Furthermore I never called perriman a bust cuz of his injury. I call him a bust because he is a mysterious riser because of some obscure pro day hand timed 40. Nobody believes he plays to that speed. Is the injury that bad or are the decision makers ashamed to put this scrub on the field. Only a real Homer would even consider comparing him to Lafell and invest hope in him. Would you like to compare their NFL highlights??!! Lafell is one of the biggest free agent steals of the last 5 years. Perriman well is just another in a long line of ozzies recent early round busts. We will track the 2 nfl wideouts the rest of the season. Your outburst is exagerated and that is what it takes to compare Perriman to Lafell and defend Perriman. Lafell is very tough and fierce after the catch and a terrific blocker I was suggesting sign both. Lafell was cheap
