  1. One of the tackles or Bosa round1 and trade back into round one for whichever WR emerges through the college season and draft process. I like Coleman so far, and Fuller if he enters the draft. Perhaps even Doctson or Robinson. Joe needs weapons!! Brady and maybe Ben are the only QBs you could remotely say is outplaying Joe Cool all things considering!! Even Rodgers is struggling with his playmakers out!! And Oline problems while receivers are not getting open. Get the dude some legit playmakers!! And Joe will be 4500 yards 40 TDs!!
  2. In a different thread he and others get angered at the idea
  3. No, your being a homer because you clearly get pi$$ed when me or anybody does not like perriman to be a good WR. Or if any fan does not think suggs will be anything more than a role player. Rational peeps around here are called trolls because we don't agree on every player being pro bowl caliber potential. It is like its forboden to not like a players potential in the NFL. Maxx is going to be a top6 TE, Perriman will still be a future #1 WR. Jernigan and Davis are future all pros. Monroe will rebound to make the pro bowl. Jimmy will play at pro bowl level. Suggs is returning to anchor the defense at going on 35 coming off an Achilles injury. Dumervil at 33 will rebound to another 17 sacks. SS will return to top form at 37 coming back from Achilles. Upshaw is not a bust, he is a successful #1 pick doing exactly what Ozzie envisioned. Every bad move ozzie ever made is not his fault. If anybody disagrees with any of these notions, peeps line up to pick fights and call you a troll!!
  4. Homers!! Again do the math. I will break it down for you. He is 33 you just established that correct?? Add one to that... Makes 34 correct?? So next year when he returns from his ACHILLES INJURY TO ANCHOR THE DEFENSE "as all homers believe he will" he will be 34!! And after 34 comes 35. So when he returns during next year he will be 34 going on 35!! Understand. And 34 is no spring chicken in the NFL to begin much less coming off Achilles.
  5. Feeling is mutual. Actually all delusional Homers are such entertaining creatures
  6. Suggs is not going to be anything more than a role player going on 35 coming off another Achilles. Dumervil is no spring chicken either. I like the idea however of nkemdiche playing with Our current DLine. However I like the idea of running with the 4-3 in which Bosa would really fit the line. Only problem is ravens already have 3 DTs that are better than average and could keep LBs and edge rushers clean. And have many other needs including edge rusher.
  7. I totally agree!! Sanu or Jones as a #2 but neither are close to being a #1. Sanu is better than aiken but what is that really saying?? Ravens need a legit WR who can clearly be a #1. Not hopefully be a #1. Both those guys will be overrated by desperate teams!! For the money I would prefer Quick or Wright over either of them!! Quick has more tools than Jones or sanu. And will be cheap to sign to a one yr prove it deal for like $1mil. He actually has the tools to be a #1. He is a hard worker and was having breakout games before his injury even with the worst qb in the league. My opinion that is the idea of free agency. Find the players that could be breakout stars with the ravens at a cheap price like Emmanuel Sanders and Lafell. Quick has the size speed athleticism and work ethic to be a #1 WR. He has been chained up by terrible QB play. If Joe has good receivers that he trusted he would likely play like he does in the playoffs all the time. Remember when Brady did not trust his WRs?? He made bad throws, reads and decisions. Many were saying he was done
  8. I never really liked perriman!! His 40 time was aggravating because anybody that ever watched aa legit 4.3 player run routes could see that he did not play to this 40 time he supposedly ran!! He played against low level competition in college and showed no route sharpness or savvy. His dad playing in the NFL should of made him an advanced route runner and he is not. I do not think he was a round1 prospect. Ravens needed a deep threat and reached because their only receivers were undrafted and a 36 yr old. And Campanaro who is injury prone himself. This is why you trade up in a draft. Because if you waste a pick on a loser like perriman you will be using another top draft pick on the same position. Think 2005 if the ravens offered their #1 and #2 draft pick for SS then. Most fans would have scoffed at a high price like that. However the ravens ended up with a bust in both rounds. As for Perrimans injury it looked as if his I jury was already pre exposed before contact. That is the only reason to keep an injury hush. To not acknowledge Perriman should never of been drafted with his knee problems. He did not participate at the combine because of an injury.
  9. Are we talking finding OK edge rushers like 8 sack a year players or game changer alpha male dominant edge rushers that propel dominant defenses?? The kind of players the reavens roster is void of.In that case ravens will take Bosa or Tunsil/Stanley!!
  10. I dunno bout cleaning house but the ravens need some alpha males!! It begins with Ozzie. The scouts pointed out some great talent. Ozzie was just to passive to make the moves. And content to wait for the hat to get to him. If not for Biscotti he would have been completely content drafting his next best qb on the board and put another quarter in the qb merry go round!! I know Ozzie has a cult following in Baltimore for drafting Ogden over Phillips and it being the right move. But he was surrounded by competent front office talent and scouts assembled by belicheat in Cleveland at the time. Ozzie's own admission he learned from belicheat and those guys!! He has got away from bpa and lets players get old and retire. Then scrambles to replace them resulting in bust after bust!! Then he does not make moves for his scouts top players. He takes whomever is left in the hat and labels them the replacement for departed players. How does a team not have any young alpha males, low on talent all around and so many needs yet in salary cap ruins not hold the gm responsible??
  11. I like the left tackles!! many top left tackles in recent years were more potential than polish. Some were very athletic but neded to add weight and power. these guys are polished and plenty powerful already. Perhaps Bosa but I have not talked with anybody much about him yet. The tackles I know just about everybody in the NFL likes them far more than the tackles of recent drafts. Just my opinion, tackle round one and WR round2 or even trade back into bottom of round one for Coleman, Boyd, Doctson or one of the elite WR prospects. And build an offense that can drop 30+ points in every game as well as an Oline that can punch defenses in the mouth!!
  12. In a way it is boring. The great receivers in the 2000s were special to watch because it was rare to see a very good #2 WR put up 1000 yards. Now #2 WRs almost match the production of a #1. In the 2000s even some #1 WRs barely hit a 1000 yards. And when a team like the rams or colts had 2 1200 yard receivers it was something to behold. No disrespect to Golden Gate but he would never have hit 1400 yards in 2000!! Often when a team misses the playoffs but there are still players you pay to see play. You pay to watch your home town alpha male joust with another teams alpha male. The ravens don't have any exciting alpha male players you pay to watch play and go to war like a boxing match. The Texans have jj watt to watch joust with whitworth. And Hopkins make spectacular plays. Not only are the ravens terrible, there is nobody you pay to see play!! However Joe Cool is quietly hanging 300 yard games with scrub receivers. He is spreading the ball around. If he cut down on mistakes just a little and ravens average just a TD more per game, Flacco carving up defenses using 8 different scrub receivers will be something to behold. If he can get some chemistry going with Givens he just may be doing that by the last quarter of the season. In my opinion if Joe even has a Lafell and Kendall Wright to work with, the ravens offense would be show to watch!! Which is why I say Joe Cool is the face of the ravens and their best asset by far!! Getting him young legit receivers to build chemistry should be #1 priority. Drafting a talented receiver and adding a legit receiver younger than 30 will help the ravens be a formidable championship contender far more likely than adding a defensive back. Because the ravens offense could win shootouts all the way to the Superbowl!! Could you picture what Joe could do in the playoffs if he had a true #1 WR and complimented by a legit #2??!! Not just a competent group like 2012 but a feared group of weapons like Alshon with Tyler Boyd or Coleman. Then creating openings for the TEs and RB!! As for the current Ravens team I like watching Joe Cool throw and the TEs Gilmore and Boyle block. Mosley is fun to watch when he is on game.
  13. Joe has elevated his play in the postseason. But how long can we expect him to carry scrubs on offense during the postseason?? I agree with much of Sammy's opinions. He is realistic and not homeristic. However Joe did not have his receivers and oline intact much of the championship season. If Joe does not have one of the best postseason runs ever for a QB, the ravens do not even get close to a second championship. And if he played that well with decent receivers then he deserves the benefit of doubts if he had very good weapons. The ravens are so starved for receivers, fans are ready to pimp out any aging or undrafted journeyman that comes along!! It is getting shameful the WRs fans get excited about!! Even Boldin was not as explosive as his first 6 seasons after his play style took its toll on him. If the ravens signed Alshon to a long contract or prove himself contract, he would not be surrounded by scrubs. The ravens could draft a receiver within first 40 picks and perhaps trade back into round1. Givens could be retained and could be a decent receiver behind a talented rookie and a legit #1 the ravens sign or trade for. I am not interested in sanu or Jones because of the number of Receivers that were good #2 or 3 alongside studs but failed when asked to be the THE #1!! The ravens need to fix this right and give their franchise QB some legit weapons and true #1. The defense is a ways off from being dominant again. However the offense is a legit #1 and talented rookie receiver away from being a high octane offense. Perriman and Campanaro need to be treated as if on I.r. next year until proven otherwise!! Does anybody truly believe Perrimans injury was not known til recently?? When his so called injury took place he was listed day to day. Then he suddenly has mcl or whatever??!! Ravens did not know that during preseason while he was listed as out for a week or so??!! His injury is being questioned by analysts everywhere and labeled weirdest anybody can remember.
  14. I pretty much agree. Being the best just behind those guys is no knock whatsoever. I think you need to put Ben in that category as well. Then you have Rivers Flacco Romo Ryan with Joe cool the most clutch of the group. I am not so sure Joe has the vision, command and awareness to be in the same class as Brady. However I would not say 100% for sure that he does not possess the skills to join them guys. Because when a QB does not trust all of his weapons it hurts his vision and accuracy even because it screws up his anticipation. Remember 2013 when Gronk was hurt and Aron was jailed?? Brady played poorly at times. Peeps began whispering Brady was not the same QB as when he was younger. Most analysts blamed his poor weapons. However At times it even appeared it was as much fault of Bradys as it was his receivers because of his bad throws. However, not trusting his receivers definitely hurt his anticipation and accuracy. He was more susceptible to the rush and thus making bad throws and decisions. A year later Brady wins a championship and mvp when he has a great set of receivers!! So although Joe cool has definitely not stated a case to belong in Bradys class. It would be interesting to see what Joe Cool has in him when he gets a good set of receivers and couple years with a competent coordinator like Trestman. Which brings me to next point. This is Joe Cools team now. Not the Defense's team. Joe Cool is the ravens best asset without question!! Surrounding him with explosive weapons will get the ravens contending for a championship much faster than some defensive back will!! It is going to take a while to build a dominant defense again!! When the defense was elite it consisted of Lewis,Reed,Ngata,Suggs and many other occasional pro bowlers. The defense does not boast any alpha males comparable to any of those guys in their prime!! Much less their supporting lineup. The ravens now front a top6 franchise QB and a very good Oline when injury free. Give Joe a couple legit receivers and the ravens are as big of a player to contend for the Superbowl as ANY team in the NFL!! Because Joe Cool and the ravens could win a shootout with ANY other team in any game!! Ramsey or Hargeaves is not going to make the defense dominant again by any means. However Tunsil or Stanley and trading back up into round1 to land Boyd, Coleman,Treadwell or Doctson will travel far in the direction of springing the ravens offense and Oline to the best in the league!! Add a young legit free agent WR to the mix and there is no reason to think the offense will not be explosive enough to carry the team to win any game including the superbowl. The ravens will be an attractive luxurious hotel/resort for any and all talented receivers yet to breakout but has all the talent to breakout. The receivers that possess all the tools but are held back by terrible QBs and systems. Receivers looking to sign bargain one year prove themselves deal to display their skills, breakout and then land a lucrative contract. The ravens are the best place for receivers looking to prove themselves as elite!! Because there is a proven franchise QB and coordinator that likes to throw. And the ravens are begging for a receiver to prove to be a #1 option. So no better place for a receiver to display his skills. Quick would be very cheap. He was breaking out before his injury even with terrible qb play. Or somebody like Kendall Wright. Even Alshon may find a lukewarm market considering he has 2 injury plagued years since his one breakout year. And may look to a team to duplicate his pro bowl numbers.
  15. Totally agree!! Size is only a prob when the receiver does not have athleticism and coordination to go up and get the throw. But there are a number of Receivers 6'0 or less that highpoint like a far taller receiver. Coleman can do the same. I hear the scouts biggest knock on him is effort at times. Is this a year the ravens double up on WRs in first 3 rounds. Hard to say with other needs!! However until Perriman shows anything, the ravens can not count on him in my opinion. Even sports networks are saying his injury situation is strangest anybody can remember. And beginning to question if it is a pre exposed injury not the complete fault of the injury on the field. May be in best interest to draft a stud receiver and sign a skilled receiver yet to break out like Quick who had a string of breakout games with bad qb play before his injury. Quick could likely be signed for not far over vet minimum prove it deal. Or somebody like Wright who will be a little more pricey on a 1 yr prove yourself deal. Joe Cool has made the ravens a luxurious hotel for talented Receivers looking to prove themselves for a multi year lucrative contract. Because the Ravens give a talented WR his best opportunity for a breakout to land a big contract. NO OTHER TEAM PRESENTS A BETTER OPPORTUNITY FOR A RECEIVER TO PROVE THEMSELVES!! A top6 franchise QB throwing to them in a throw happy well designed scheme. And an offense begging for a WR to step up and be a legit #1 WR. Wright, Quick or any other receiver will not get a better opportunity to display their skills and break out!! So with that established one stud receiver in the draft will be enough to add to a free agent receiver and bump Raven offense to top 3 or better.
  16. Joe cool makes the TEs look better. He is having a phenomenal season considering the Receivers, oline and run game probs!! Gilmore and Boyle are more of blocking TEs. However they are very intelligent with good hands. When Ravens get a legit #1 WR to stretch defenses Gilmore and Boyle will be quite effective finding openings in zones. However they will never be seam threat playmakers that strike fear in defenses. Maxx was supposed to be the TE that stretched defenses. But who knows what how anybody saw that in his game. Boyle looks faster than maxx and I believe he ran a 5 second 40. And Maxx will never be the dominant blocker like Gilmore and Boyle. If Ravens get a Corey Coleman, will Fuller or Tyler Boyd then Gilmore and Boyle could do some damage finding openings in zones. Gilmore and Boyle will never be playmakers that scare defenses but will be very productive and very respected for their skill in clashing with von millers.
  17. Especially with the practice squad receivers!! Joe Cool is having an awesome year. If he had legit Receivers he would be mvp candidate. He is a top6 qb without question.
  18. I like Fuller. He is very fluid and fast with ball skills and elusive after the catch. He effortlessly changes directions multiple times in a blink. He can accelerate to top speed in a blink as well. Could probably get him early round 2 unless teams begin to see his his acceleratation and fluidity is a cut above the other Receivers 6'0 and taller. There may not be any Julio Jones in this class but a very deep class of WRs that could likely see 7 or more drafted in first 40 picks. With a run of WRs beginning middle round1. There are many Receivers that are very close in talent. A very tough class to judge.
  19. Bosa round1 then Fuller or boyd Round2.
  20. The ravens just do not have alpha male players or playmakers. Like it or not the ravens and jags are evenly matched except the jags have an edge in quality playmakers. Fire all the coaches you want. The problem is the talent. If anybody thinks there is a coach out there that does not need talent to win then go hire him and see what happens!! I said it years ago, oz does not have the supporting cast that taught him the bpa system. He is letting players get old or retire before even condidering replacements. then scrambling to replace them resulting in bust after bust. He is giving big money to old, injured, and overrated players and has a bad team in salary cap hell. He pays injured and erratic players like he has zero confidence in his drafting. I been reading this for several yrs. And there are about 10 members here that could outdraft ozzie whom is getting paid. Grim,Purplecity, climatic and tru11 to name a couple I would feel better about running the ravens drafts before Ozzie and they are fans.
  21. Chris Givens will be the #1 WR by seasons end. Aiken will be #2 by default. Givens in my opinion is going to be better than Torrey. My opinion he is similar to Emmanuel Sanders in speed, ball skills, decisiveness in routes. However he is not quite as fluid as Sanders and has slightly more wasted motion than Sanders in his cuts breaks and in eluding tacklers. Not to say he has a lot of wasted motion because he doesn't. He just is not quite as fluid as some of the elite WRs 6'0 and smaller which causes some stutter stepping in routes sometimes and while a very decisive route runner, his routes are not quite as fluid and deceptive as the great smaller WRs. But routes are sharper than Torrey's and he is very good at tracking and adjusting to throws. Very good speed and acceleration with very good athleticism attacking throws but not exactly explosive ball skills like Antonio Brown. He does not need to gear down when adjusting to a throw. All in all he will be the ravens #1 WR and a very good legit #2 next to a legit #1WR. It would of been nice to see him play alongside SS and Campanaro. Just my opinions.
  22. Trestman is doing fine all things considered. Look what he has to work with. What do you expect?? A top5 offense with Aiken as the #1 receiver. Joe cool is on pace to have his first 4000 yard season and is getting more comfy with the system. I expect Joe and givens to hook up nicely within couple weeks.
  23. Maxx was brought in to be an athletic seam stretching TE like Kelce or Eifert. He is nowhere close!! He runs like a slug and looks as slow as Boyle, a blocking TE. I don't know what anybody was looking at when maxx was tagged the best TE because that dude is slower than a slug. He is out of shape with the body of a 45 yr old couch potato. Take a look at him running the 40 there trying to beat his 4.9 40 time!! The ravens know they made a mistake with this guy. I like Gilmore to be better than average if the ravens ever get a legit #1 to open zones up for him. But not a seam stretching playmaker like Kelce Cameron or Eifert. McDonald and Cody are not talented enough to give a shot. Aldon has elite skills.
  24. Your right I do not pay much attention to the salary cap. Just how much cutting a guy saves and how much to keep. One of my issues with oz. He structures salary so that knockout cap Hits are absorbed once a player is over his prime. Since fantasy football got so out of control, peeps go to much by numbers and not what a player has in physical skill to do or not do what is planned for that player. It is not that there is a problem with guys nearing 35 yrs old. I don't like counting on them go be the anchors. Suggs or Dumervil is fine as long as there is a young alpha male like a Chandler Jones to throw all the weight on. Forcing the ball to 36 yr old ss til he broke is just silly!! Shocker he didn't make it through the season!! Very poor shameful management. And next year oz is going to do same thing with Suggs and Dumervil. Until no longer starter caliber and then he is going to run out and grab whatever name is in the hat to replace them. Like Elam,Upshaw,Brown. (perriman is a huge need pick as well). Then everybody is going to be so surprised the team finishes 4-12 every year. Oz must have zero confidence in his skill to reload talent without all the advisors he had when the team came to baltimore. Because he will count on Suggs to anchor the defense until he gets thrown off the field into his lap by opposing olines. Why does everybody want the guy that already racks up over 100 sacks and the WR that already has 800 catches for 12000 yards?? Like Suggs and Vincent. Let's go find the next edge rusher to get 130 sacks and next WR to catch 800 throws for 13000 yards. Because then in the next year or so the ravens are going to be kicking everybody's butts!!
  25. So you think the home team player is more likely to be dominant longer?? Shocker!! Hands while having a good year is not as dominant as last year. I'm not surprised he has been better the last couple yrs. Management finally left him at his best position. I said back in early 2008 Yanda would be better than Grubbs. But coaching needed to let him stay at guard and gear towards that position such as bulking up for the interior. Yanda can succeed into his 30s but not dominate. He is the recognized best guard as was Hutchinson and Faneca and their play fell off overnight. It is what happens to guys weighing 320lbs. WRs usually do not have their best season at or after 30. Except for Brandon Lloyd. Now that dude never got opportunity before that is shameful to any team he played for!! Anyways to be honest I have not watched Johnson much. However peers say he is the same player. His production could of dropped off because of his erratic QB and erratic incompetent coaching and structure. Was not Randy Moss supposed to have diminished skills before breaking the TD record?? I doubt anyways Johnson is brought in. And if he is it would a restructured pay.
