  1. Begin by listing the qbs better than Joe cool, worse then the ones that are close call. The qbs that are close are Bortles, Daulton, Carr, Eli manning. Better are Brady,Rodgers,Brees, luck,Wilson, palmer,Romo, and Newton although injuries could have caught up to Romo and Palmer so those dudes you could put in the maybe category. There are lots of variables. Over last couple drafts 4 talented qbs have come into the league so the qbs that are close with joe cool could change.
  2. He may not be very motivated to play with his teammates retired and ngata playing for a different team.
  3. If Joe has 2 terrible yrs I do not believe he would want to be here. The fans would decimate him. And that would not exactly be a franchise qb at all
  4. I agree. However urban is a 3-4 defensive end (interior player) Kufusi is an edge rusher with very good power and techniques and good speed and athleticism. Since he is playing a different position he has to tweak his bod a little. Lose 16-20lbs of bad weight. And he could add 10-12 lbs of muscle or so without losing any speed or athleticism. Losing the excess around his core will help with his back injuries. He will arrive at a leaner more athletic yet stronger body composition for the edge rusher positions. While he continues to train for flexibility and athleticism while maturing his already forward techniques.278-280 is likely his ideal play weight for peak and dominant performance for edge rusher positions. If players work hard and play it correctly ravens could be first team ever to have a tandem of rookies to hit double digit sacks!! And ravens motivate and provide support better than any team in the league for players to get stronger, cut excess weight and play at optimum peak performance and production. From Harbs' challenging players to the food and nutrition provided around ravens facility. It's about players reaching their maximum performance through hard work and sophisticated intelligent training, nutrition and practices. Kufusi may not have the natural raw strength, athleticism of Mario Williams, julius peppers and Jared Allen But through hard work and intelligent sophisticated nutrition and training techniques he could be very close to mario Williams and Jared allen. Which means he is an impact player for the ravens!! Similar to how jj watt plays so dominant. He takes his training and nutrition and practices that extra mile. Not saying Kufusi is jj watt or peppers. However by taking that extra mile he could be nearly as good and productive as Mario Williams If ravens drafted for character, intelligence and work ethic it then that is the idea behind the strategy. That players will work overtime to be as good or better than the players with gifted pro bowl talent with an average dedication.
  5. Should be aside from 2 great players 1996 draft
  6. Urschel could be the new Birk or anchor at center
  7. Dork you beat me to it!! lol But I will say for first time since 2005-2006,2009 I like the draft. An outside 2 great players from 2006 this should be ravens best draft ever. The rumors I hear about will henry may of been dragged through numerous avenues but I have heard so much then the articles some members posted popped up and it isn't coincidence. He must of really impressed more than one coach with his raw explosion and power. And I believe the hype. He is going to be a phenom. I have watched 6 of his games since the draft and his raw strength and athleticism brings one player to mind. Bryant Young. Once Henry gets coached up and some refinement I'm sure some commentator is going to compare him to Young. Henry only needs to play with youngs ferocity and activity that will come with coaching and refinement. But in my opinion he is a total stud that fell through the cracks. Then there is Dixon that will be a major player on offense. And a mismatch catching the ball. The next tier we have Chris Moore and Kufusi. Chris Moore I already stated is a far better complete wr, tighter route runner than many teams realized til just before the draft. He definitely lit up draft boards and made scouts drool just b4 the draft!! Problem is team's did not take a long hard look til just b4 the draft. And Mayock said teams are discovering Chris Moore's skills and he is heating up draft boards and will out perform many of the early round WRs drafted b4 him. Teams just did not have time spring him over players scouted longer and coveted longer. Kufusi is a little tougher. He is out of position for his skillset. He is not a 3-4 defensive end or interior player at all. His skillset screams edge rusher. HE is strong with very good burst and speed for a 285 lb player. And even better bend flexibility and athleticism. BUT he has played the interior and needs to reshape his body a little for the edge rusher positions. Lose maybe 16-20 lbs of bad weight and tack on 10-13lbs of functional muscle without losing any athleticism. Ravens motivate players to get in their best shape better than any team I'm aware of. So ravens is likely his best landing spot cuz he needs a little reshaping for the switch to edge rusher. But if he gets in top edge rusher shape he is going to be a terrific player. He has all the tools. Then there is the raven early picks. Ron Stanley In my opinion is going to be a dominant left tackle once he gets stronger. He could very realistically compete for top left tackle in the league once he gets stronger. For a player needing more muscle maturity he generates good power through his hips legs, athleticism and activity. On one block of Bosa he was being pushed and nearly discarded. But he effortlessly changed position and stance twice on one play til he found the superior position to cut off Bosa and stand up his bullrush. It was impressive. And if he is stronger he is so athletic and natural feel to be really great. Then there is correa. He isn't an edge player but if he can adjust and mature to ilb and 4-3 olb which is his best position in my opinion he could be a very good and unique lb. So although the ravens on paper are not playoff contenders when considering unproven players. This is the deepest and best crop of players maybe ever. "IF" the young players mature and play to their potential ravens are contenders
  8. Nice story. Just cut'em and draft a sarety
  9. If Joe Cool bombs out the ravens could look to the draft or a young backup with talent like Garappolo mettenberger or Aaron murray. I don't believe the ravens would give $10mil+ per for a mediocre or worse qb yet again. And before I shelled out near $20mil per for a Bradford or osweilerni would take my chances with a young talented qb like Garappolo Mettenberger or murray. I do not see how starting 5 games and not really impressing justifies $17mil per. As opposed to if he did not start those games he would not make a quarter of that.I could see if he really lit it up but the offense stalled and Peyton was put back in. I would trade for Aaron murray who makes fast reads with very good accuracy and mobility. Before paying a below average qb that kind of money. But I agree it would take more than one crappy year to run Joe Cool out of town. If Joe cool is subpar again the ravens would probably spend big to put weapons around him with no more aging cast off patchwork wrs and give him a crack at it the following year. If he is subpar 2 yrs in a row then management would begin looking into finding a new qb. He would then be the new grbac.
  10. Conjuring was not as good as one
  11. I like Joe Cool but I can see the argument against him. To make him the highest paid is like suggesting he is in the category of Rodgers Brady Brees Roethlisberger. When a team makes a player highest paid at his position that dude is generally one of the elite. Top5 at his position or even better. To give Joe flacco that contract is suggesting that he is one of the truly elite to some people. And Joe cool is not quite in that exclusive fraternity with Brady Rodger. Those guys can carry a team on their backs. This is a big year for Joe cool. The superbowl run will not carry him through criticism again. He has to perform this year. I know Joe has played well in the playoffs for most part but the argument against that is the ravens team usually steps up. Even Hurst played well in the playoffs. Boldin and Pitts played on a crazy good level pulling in all those 50 50 balls that were thrown up for grabs. No matter which side of the argument you are on this is a big year for Joe cool. He shows he can rebound and get the ravens back to winning Or if ravens struggle he will be slandered by critics.
  12. I think when the defense is stressing over being mauled by the oline it breaks their concentration and takes them off their gameplan. The oline was much improved once Urschel adjusted to center. The oline was clearly more dominant than with zuttah
  13. Zuttah is a weak link of an oline with power
  14. Thank you. Left guard is going to be jensen. It will have to be once he impresses in preseason
  15. I agree. Do not need a Julio Jones or an green #1. Just a legit #1 that scares defenses and can win on every level. If Chris Moore plays to his max he will make a fine #1. If Campanaro can play 16 games he will be a really good #2wr.
  16. The same people negging this idea will be the first to get all excited if ravens actually signed Boldin. People do not like players if those players are unlikely to become ravens anyways. But if he becomes a raven he is future all pro. Perriman was not anybody's favorite wr in the draft. Everybody liked strong or Devin Smith. Then after ravens picked Perriman everybody says he is going to be great. I mean I do not want Boldin unless he is interested in a player/mentor kind of deal. But nobody wants him cuz of his age. But the same people think SS is going to be a #1 wr again at 37 coming off achilles. And Suggs is going to hit double digit sacks at 34 coming off achilles. But Boldin is a bad idea because of his age. I would prefer younger WRs get the reps but in my opinion Boldin would be a better mentor than SS
  17. He has strong looking calves but could use more leg drive. But yet for a center very strong in my opinion. Over all great observation!! And word is he tacked on muscle
  18. Will henry, Chris Moore and Kufusi. Will Henry is a freak. How often can a penetrator line up wide and win with explosion and bend so decisively on a couple plays the tackle could not even get his hands on him. Then 2 gap on a different play and hold up without giving an inch. He is a hard worker in the gym and will only get stronger and leaner in a ravens training and nutrition program. A little coaching up on techniques and he is a pro bowler in my opinion. Kufusi is out of position. He is flexible with very good burst for 285lbs. He is out of position and a little out of shape. He is not an interior player. His best position is 4-3 defensive end. He needs to lean out about 16-20 lbs for the position then tack on 10-12lbs of muscle. But he could very well be as good as Jared Allen. He has the raw athleticism, strength, motor and technique to be great if he gets his body right for 4-3 defensive end. And Chris Moore is more complete than advertised. He has top end speed and that extra gear with play making balls skills. But he is a far better route runner and explosive in tight areas to win intermediate in traffic.
  19. Tough call. Defense Michael McCrary and Peter Boulware offense Priest Holmes and Brandon Stokley
  20. agree building the oline. Yanda should have one more all pro year in him. I like Jensen and Urschels potential to be top10 at guard and center. I'm not to crazy about Alex lewis. Would liked to have traded next year's round1 and round 3 picks for a round2,3 and 4 this draft. Being this draft was deep with players with round1 traits. Oline player would be one of the positions the picks used on. Which brings me to the what the ravens should prioritize. My opinion is a commitment to young talent!! From draft , free agency and trades. Trust drafting and player evaluations. Trust the better scouts regardless of where he is in the pecking order. Do not be hesitant to trade for players with breakout potential on teams that do not surround players with tools to perform to optimal potential. Stop going to the well so many times with aging vets and begin trusting the scouting, drafting, coaching and performance trainers. McKinney was a shining example. Draft replacements for great players before he retires or becomes liability. As opposed to riding a player til he announces his retirement or becomes a clear liability and caught with a void then reach for a player in the draft. Harbs begged SS to return. That is fine and totally cool. However at 37 coming off an Achilles injury I would prefer to of drafted an extra wr in round4 like Malcolm Mitchell or Demarcus Robinson and if SS plays like he did last season to treat it like a bonus. As for the drafting I would like to see the ravens make moves for rare talents at the right time. And trade down and stock up on BPA's at the correct time. As opposed to counting on 35 yr old players with no thought of his replacement. When it comes to drafting it would be cool for management to draft for talent and not treat every character flaw the same. And realize teenagers do stupid things and identify the difference in a teenager doing something immature and and a true nutcase or thug. To put it bluntly, ravens management needs to place priority on young players with best football on its way. go back to bpa and just stockpiling very good and great players and show confidence in drafting and maturing young players.
  21. What is so outlandish?? Anything that remotely suggests ravens made a bad move?? Allow me to clarify and elaborate. Ravens will not miss KO on the interior. Ravens could yet miss ko at tackle. I'm rooting for to not miss him but Ron Stanley has to get stronger and prove himself. Ron Stanley tacks on 12-14 lbs of muscle the oline should be better. I would bet on it but Stanley has to prove it
  22. The more I watch Jensen the more I say he could be all pro. Would not surprise me if he is better. Besides tackle was the idea behind retaining ko.
  23. I liked Jensen when he played the Steelers. As much as I liked KO Jensen can be just as good. Ravens will not miss ko
  24. Dare I say it the prototype fullback is the moron with the patsies now in a correction facility. He was being lined up next to Brady as often as te or out wide. 6'3 250 and a very good blocker, He was like a big wr but very good after the catch. He could even run the ball like a big shifty running back. It would be cool to find a fullback with a similar skillset but not a complete moron. Juszczyk will make the team if ravens want a fullback cuz there is nobody else.
  25. Zuttah is more established. Not better. Great teams trust their young players. And root for their young talented players to win jobs from mediocre and solid starters by outperforming them. That is how you get better and win multiple championships
