Oh boy, tonight should be a great Raw. Not only do we get to witness yet another return of the Undertaker, but we get to hear Cena stammer on and on and on about his Wrestlemania moment. What is it going to take for the WWE to start deciding to take some chances?
Here's to hoping that The Miz isn't completely buried at Wrestlemania, since his chances of actually beating Cena is quite slim.
According to SEScoops, the WWE was actually considering having Lawler beat The Miz last night and then lose the belt tonight to The Miz. Thankfully, they realized it'd be too damaging to The Miz's character to have that happen. Thank God for small miracles, eh?
Has anyone seen Hurt Locker? Any reviews? I was told I need to see it.
I haven't seen Hurt Locker, but I've heard it was fantastic.
I certainly hope he doesn't win. It really upsets me to hear Cena say how he's going to have his Wrestlemania moment, when he's already had his... quite a few times. It's been a nice, refreshing change of pace to not have him forced down our throats lately.
Did you honestly think he wouldn't get involved? It wouldn't surprise me to see Cole get involved either.
I'd love to see Lawler unload on Cole. He's sped past being a heel to just being an incredibly annoying announcer who gets too excited over the most trivial thing. Does he really need to give some heels (namely The Miz) a standing ovation?
I'd probably be kicked off the show for a *ahem* "lack of discipline".
lol Me too, me too. I miss the days of seeing Trish and the lovely Lita.
I'd try out for Tough Enough just to live with Miss Stratus >_>
Yeah, Franny, I know you've said it before. I just want a shift away from the hokey Cena character.
So either Trish and The Rock don't know how to operate in a PG Setting, or perhaps it's a slow shift away from PG. Unlikely, but one can hope right?
I'm interested in how the Miz/Lawler match ends. If by some god forsaken reason Jerry wins, I'm not sure I can ever have confidence in the WWE again.
They should have Santino and Vlad go heel and get back to when they wrestled. I mean they could cut a promo saying that they don't care about pleasing the fans and have them feud in the mid card or something. I mean Vladimir was in the main event spot just a couple years ago and now he's a comedy act. Same with Santino, he comes right in and wins the IC Title, and again he won the IC Title a couple years ago and had a great storyline going with the whole Honk A Meter and they kill it for him to be a comedy act.
Too bad I think the damage is done. I don't think I could ever take Santino seriously again.
As much as I like Santino in the comic relief aspect, it's ruined my ability to take him seriously as a wrestler. The Cobra is ridiculous, and it makes whoever Santino defeats with it look feeble. It's way overdue for Santino and Vlad to lose those belts.
First we got Stone Cold and Booker T... now Trish Stratus and Miss Fakih. Easy on the eyes would be an understatement.
I've always liked Heel Edge much, much better than Face Edge. I'd say the same goes for Orton, but I believe there's no such thing as "Face Orton" or even Tweener Orton. Just "More Liked Orton".
"The Crazies" was horrible. The dude from Hitman (can't remember his name, Olyphant), should not be the main actor in any movie.
I just saw "Just Go With It". Brooklyn Decker and Adam Sandler delivered, the rest of the movie, not so much.
I wouldn't say The Crazies was horrible, me and my girl enjoyed it. And how dare you, sir, how dare you bad mouth Timothy Olyphant. Go watch "Justified" on FX and eat your words. =P
I really liked "Just Go With It" actually, but I'm a huge Sandler fan. Is it weird that I enjoyed see the lovely Miss Aniston in a bikini more so than Brooklyn Decker?
I refuse to order a PPV unless the card is intriguing enough. While this card will have plenty of WrestleMania ramifications, it isn't worth the price tag to me or even the effort to watch it online. WrestleMania itself will be worth the price tag just from The Rock alone, although I tend to order WrestleMania every year when I can.
That's how I traditionally am. Although I don't know if I'll have the extra cash this year to purchase Wrestlemania. I still have last year's on my DVR, so maybe I'll make a ghetto WM. Watch last year's and pretend it's this year's lol... I'll just watch Rock's promo from monday night in the middle of it.
If I find someplace new to watch it, I'll be watching.
This is interesting http://blogs.nfl.com/2011/02/16/pick-six-nfl-playerwwe-superstar-comparisons/?module=HP_cp2 NFL.com compared top NFL players to WWE wrestlers.
I got to the part where he said "The Hugh Jackman of wrestling", then I shook my head and closed the tab.
Seriously though, likening Lewis and Triple H made me smile. But Peyton Manning as John Cena takes the cake.
I just watched the video of Rock's return yet again, and I can't lie, I actually shed some tears this time after everything sank in. Looking at the faces of the adults in the crowd and looking carefully at Rock's body language, it was like everyone was transported back in time.
Rock was in such awe from the reaction he got and he seemed genuinely moved that people remembered him and were happy to see him. I'm convinced now that Rock's biggest concern (and the primary reason why he's been reluctant to return) was the potentially disappointing reception he'd receive since he's already left and come back in the past. It took 7 years away from the ring for people to really appreciate how special he was.
Again, I'd be happy enough if this ended up being the last time we'd see The Rock in a WWE ring. When he took off his glasses and spoke as himself, I could tell it was genuine; he's a decent actor, but he's not that good to have spoken with that much conviction without truly meaning it.
That's why I have a feeling that The Rock just may be back wrestling, as least for a bit. Like you said, I doubt he thought a return would garner the attention and emotion that it really did. I'm sure he's happy with the movies he's done, the wider audience it's introduced him to, and the increased media attention. However, like he said, it's because of the WWE's fans, and his fans, that helped him make his dream come true. I also think he knows that he'll never be as appreciated and loved for as much as he is with the fans of the WWE.
If monday night didn't make The Rock want to come back and perform... I don't know what will.
I'd laugh if it turns out that she actually can wrestle... and wrestle well.
Publicity Stunt since she's Miss USA. Stupid move by Vince to try to get publicity by doing this.
I don't care lol Publicity stunt or not, she's quite easy on the eyes.
Mmmmm, Rima Fakih will be on the new season of Tough Enough. Sounds good to me...
Speaking of The People's Elbow:
Does it amuse anyone else that in SVR 2011, when you do The People's Elbow the game has him taking off his right elbow pad when he only wears an elbow pad on his left elbow?
I'd love to see Cena get a taste of The People's Elbow though. It's where all those mat moves that pandered to the sycophants (I miss you, Jericho >=\) in the area started, like Cena's god awful Five Knuckle Shuffle (that you can obviously see comes no where near "hitting" his opponent) and MVP's Ballin'.
Thanks, ATD
Correction:
Tough Enough will follow Raw for the first Raw after WM, afterwards it will air directly before Raw. My bad lol
What network is airing Tough Enough? I loved that show... and it's great to see how far The Miz has come since his appearance on there.
Tough Enough will follow right after Raw on USA after Wrestlemania.
I love how they give you Taker's biker outfit... but no biker entrance (unless you want to use Chuck Palumbo's entrance in the Superstar set) or music. Not to mention, the announcer won't say the Undertaker's name.
Playing in the Nitro arena makes me want to go and... obtain some old seasons of Nitro.
It'll never happen, but I'd love to see Cena get squashed by The Rock. I'm sick of him always hogging the spotlight in everything that happens in the WWE. Like last night, when the Nexus attacked Orton. Once Cena came out, it wasn't about The Nexus attacking Orton, or about Orton getting help against Nexus... it was about Cena coming out to destroy Punk and the Nexus. Ugh.
Now I can only hope for a Triple H and Jericho return soon.

I hate Bourne so much. You want to talk about overrated wrestlers, look no further. If it weren't for the Shooting Star Splash... sorry, "Airbourne", he'd have no one behind him. The typical Bourne match has him starting the match by kicking his opponent five to fifteen times, then proceeding to be dominated for a couple minutes before either a ) getting pinned, or b ) landing a kick to down his opponent so he can use the Shooting Star Splash and win. He's boring and predictable.
I haven't missed him one bit, and wouldn't be the least bit sad if he never returned.
