  1. I can't see Vince being the GM, although I do hope he's going to announce who it's going to be. Nor do I see him being involved in a Wrestlemania match. One can hope he's going to weigh in on this Lawler debacle, but I think that's slim too. I can see him hyping 2.11 or Tough Enough, or new developments in the GM ordeal.

  2. From what I understand, while the WWE license is all-encompassing and covers all the talent whose likenesses are trademarked by the company, I think the issue with adding more DLC wrestlers is that the most accurate results usually come from face-scanning and true motion-capturing from the actual talent for character-specific moves, and that's difficult to schedule and coordinate. Furthermore, there's a lot of QA testing and they have to make sure that the wrestlers' file sizes are kept down to a reasonable size for download.

That said, they need to release at least two more DLC packs or else I'll feel as if I wasted my money on the DLC Season Pass.

    My thoughts exactly lol

  3. DLC Pack 3 for SVR 2011 is quite lame:

    "American Badass" Attire for Undertaker

"Cenation Gear (Purple)" Attire for Cena

"Straight Edge Society Mask" Attire for Punk

    WCW Monday Nitro Arena

I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see very many more DLC wrestlers. Alex Riley would be the most likely, along with Heath Slater. Maybe McGuillicutty and Harris (although unlikely). I'd love to see them add Booker as DLC, but since he isn't wrestling, right now at least, it's unlikely as well.

  4. After watching Raw, all I can say is...

Seriously? Lawler? Unless the WWE has something amazing up their sleeve, this is ridiculous. Dude's 61 and all he can do in the ring is throw punches. His stomach could be a viable weapon though. Something better change quickly or else EC is going to reek. Miz Vs. Lawler and freaking R-Truth is in the EC match.

  5. More information about Diesel.

Apparently, WWE.com interviewed him after the Rumble:

WWE.com: Are you saying you expect this to be your last night in the ring?

DIESEL: I hope not. I’d stay as long as they’ll have me, or as long as my body will hold on.

  6. It annoyed me that they essentially wasted a Rumble spot with Hornswoggle. I wasn't even amused in the least when Cena and Swoggle started with the "comedy" it was pointless in the match. Not to mention the Nexus. Don't get me wrong, I liked the whole "four guys taking out whoever came out", but it dragged on way too long, and of course Cena had to break it up. Why not let Booker do some damage and not just fall victim to them?

I miss when the Rumble was the Rumble. There was no one talking on the mic (like last years), no midgets and walking steroids putting on a two man comedy act, no groups of four dominating every person that walked it. The ring filled up, and it was a battle. That's what the Royal Rumble is supposed to be.

  7. 51 years old or not.

    Giant jerk or not.

Diesel was one of my favorites growing up and I was pumped to see him back, and part of me wants him to stick around for at least a little while... since we all know Nash's body can't handle much wrestling anymore.

I was very disappointed with how quickly Booker went out. A scissor kick, a Spin-a-Roonie and he was gone. I hope he actually does some wrestling for a while before doing announcing work. Even though I knew he was going to be in the Rumble, I still got a chill when I heard "Can you dig it... Sucka!".

  8. I'm liking all of the developments on SmackDown and I'm liking the increased emphasis on in-ring action again, but I'm hating the Corre's name. Why the two R's? What, just so they could trademark it? Stupid move. If anything, I see that name and I'm tempted to pronounce it in Spanish as the word for "run."

I honestly wouldn't be the least bit surprised. If it weren't for the name, I'd have no qualms with the group. I love the initial set up for it, and I'm liking the way the "new" Nexus is going on Raw. Haven't been this excited for a Raw in a while. Very interested to see how they handle Mason.

  9. Of course. I haven't seen a good zombie flick since those movies, wish these guys would make just one more.

I know, man. 28 Days/Weeks Later are two of my favorite horror flicks. I was pumped for 28 Months Later. It sucks that two guys are preventing the rest of us of another grade A "zombie" movie.

  10. Where's 28 Months Later or Dawn Of The Dead 2?

Not good news for 28 Months Later:

"I'll answer that completely honestly. When we made '28 Days Later,' the rights were frozen between a group of people who are no longer talking to each other. And so, the film is never going to happen unless those people start talking to each other again. There is no script as far as I'm aware." - Alex Garland, Writer of 28 Days Later & Producer of 28 Weeks Later

  11. I knew Zeke, Wade, Heath, and Justin would be forming a new stable after last week... but could they have picked a worse name? "The Corre"? (and I'm not misspelling that) Seriously?

Ugh, first that and then the always intelligent Stryker called the lyrics to R-Truth's joke of an entrance song "ingelligent".

  12. I hate, hate, hate, HATE David Otunga. He's only there because he's Jennifer Hudson's husband. That's it. His mic skills are nowhere near as polished as they hyped on NXT, and his ring work is atrocious. His look is also awkward; he's muscular but has this feminine quality to him because of his shiny trunks and strangely-proportioned build. His slight lisp when he talks and his perfectly-groomed hair also doesn't help.

Agreed on all accounts. He left a bad impression on me when the first thing out of his mouth was how he went to Harvard, met the President (or something to that effect), and is engaged to Jennifer Hudson.

Not to mention, I don't know who has the worst finishing move, Health Slater or Otunga's generic spine buster.

  13. Mason is what the Nexus needed. Ever since Skip went down, they've yet to have a real "powerhouse" type of guy. I'm really liking the addition of Punk and Ryan, while letting Barrett go off to Smackdown on his own. Although I will say I'm slightly irritated that Gabriel took off. I like him much better then David "I'M ENGAGED TO JENNIFER HUDSON!" Otunga.
