  1. I know, man. I was being sarcastic. I'd keep trying too, haha.
  2. What a poor, poor man. lol
  3. Even though an out of shape Triple H is still more jacked than 90% of the male population.
  4. It's interesting that you mentioned Triple H since I was wondering this morning how soon he'll return.
  5. I'd love to see Cena turn heel, but I think you should be prepared to start dumping on the writers again. I'm not quite sure that they have the balls to turn Cena heel. We all know how comfortable the WWE has gotten now that it really doesn't have any competition to threaten it. Not to mention how the WWE loves being a "family friendly" form of entertainment, and Cena has the most appeal to the children. Remember how the kiddies cried and the parents complained when Cena lost to Barret to join Nexus? That's why it didn't surprise me that Cena joined Nexus, but was more of a beaten-down face in a heel stable in that capacity. So while I'd love to see the WWE take some risks and make Cena switch sides, I'm not counting on it. Now would be the perfect time though, Orton has pretty much taken the spot of the number one face on Raw, so Cena's currently on the back-burner. Why not rejuvenate his stale character now?
  6. I have respect for what Mysterio did, not what he's currently doing. He was a phenomenal high-flyer in his younger days. But his game has devolved into the same spots with his whole two top-rope moves. That does not make him worthy of such praise as a high-flyer now, and it's insulting to have to sit through the WWE attempts to spoon-feed you the opinion that he is. Everything about Rey is incredibly stale, overplayed, and off-putting. The underdog position is overdone and doesn't even fit him anymore since he wins much, much more often than he loses (Bragging Rights anyone? Hurt so badly that he had to be taken out of the match... only to return later and mop up). His mic-work is boring, I can only take so much branching into spanish and talking about, essentially, the same things every promo. However, probably the most stale thing about him is his ring work. How many times do we have to see Rey get manhandled, only for him to come back, hit the same spots as he always does, perform the same "amazing" reversals and counters that he always does, and use one of the three hundred ways to place his opponents (unrealistically) on the second rope for the yawn-inducing 619. Anyways, Rey was a great performer and had some truly amazing aerial feats years ago. But since he came to the WWE, his aerial attack has taken a 90 degree turn for the worst. That's what irritates me when it comes to all the "praise" the WWE lumps onto Rey. He was never that exciting in the air in the WWE, certainly not enough to be called one of the WWE's great high-flyers, current or all-time.
  7. Mysterio is just incredibly boring in the ring, and is hardly a high flyer anymore (I'm sorry, it takes more than a splash and senton to be impressive). The underdog role is done to death with him, and his 619 alone brings me out of my suspension of disbelief about wrestling being fake (how many ways can Mysterio get his opponent onto the second rope to set up the 619?). I can't say how pissed I would have been if he beat Edge and Alberto del Rio last night. It's insulting for him to be anywhere near the World Heavyweight Championship.
  8. It really irritates me when the WWE says how great a high flyer Rey Mysterio is. Years ago he was an amazing talent when it came to high risk, top rope moves. Now, he does, what, two "high flying" moves: that dumb seated senton and the splash. That's IT. I understand the man is older and injuries have taken their toll on him, that doesn't bother me. But it's insulting to be told how great he is when he, frankly, isn't anymore. Hell, all his matches just consist of him getting dominated for the majority of the match, before coming back, hitting the same spots, and winning. But that's just because he's an "underdog" right? He's nothing more than Smackdown's Cena. It's even more insulting to hear him called the greatest high flyer in WWE history (from Striker I believe on Bragging Rights), when his time as one of the most exciting and daring wrestlers was when he was in WCW, not WWE. The same can be said about Evan Bourne (regarding the high flying abilities). All the kid does is do one of his 7 variations of a kick, get dominated, then hit the only high flying move he knows. Thank god he doesn't win nearly as often as Mysterio does. Anyways, it just really sickens me to hear how amazing some of the present day wrestlers are as "high flyers" when they're really not. Sure, it could just be the WWE phasing out the exciting, risky, high flying moves, but still. It irks me... alot.
  9. Fable 3 is fantastic... Love it.

  10. 2011 seems... way too easy. I played a WWE Universe Match of Edge Vs. Swagger (started with Edge running in so I got an immediate Signature move), hit that, then a Spear to pin him for the win. Took a whole 10 seconds. Not to mention the move list seems significantly cut down. Two ground moves total, one running strike, one running grapple. Let's not forget that strong grapples were taken out and replaced by "Groggy grapple", which eliminated 9 grapple moves.
  11. I'm not too keen with the selection of wrestlers for RtW (Christian, Jericho, Cena, and Mysterio). Can't stand Cena or Mysterio (Cena Jr. in my opinion), so I'll pretty much be stuck to playing Christian and Jericho's RtW. I was really hoping for McIntyre or Sheamus for RtW, really surprised Sheamus didn't get one this year. Oh well, I'll probably end up playing through Cena and Mysterio just for the unlockables. On a releated note: After BR, I'm definitely digging Tyler Reks and Ezekial Jackson. Jackson wrecked Mysterio with that shoulder block.
  12. I just rented Smackdown Vs. Raw 2011 (need to decide between playing it and Fable 3 when I get home), haven't had the chance to play it yet. I've heard mixed things about it, however I tend not to believe some of the opinions of people on other forums. Glad to hear you have a high opinion on the game, Franny, makes me feel more optimistic about it. Looking forward to smashing faces with Sheamus and Drew McIntyre.
  13. Canada has the right idea then, I say we don't allow him in the United States either.
  14. For some reason, I have a feeling that the WWE might start giving Reks some more face time and perhaps even a push.
  15. Tyler Reks looks like he needs a shower. That is all.
  16. Man, I forgot how awesome Disgaea games are.

    1. flaccopoe

      flaccopoe

      Nostalgia, nostalgia!

  17. Madison's face is too odd for my tastes. Now Angelina Love is another story =P
  18. No need to get concerned already. There's alot of game left and Denver hasn't looked good for the majority of the half.

  19. So I just read Jamie was eliminated on NXT. Stupid.
  20. What's with the two pay per views in one month...? Bragging Rights on the 24th. Then two in the month of May as well.
  21. I'm so pissed, I got home from Pittsburgh in time to put on HiaC and completely forgot about it Instead I fell asleep to that horrible CHI/NYG game...
  22. I truly hope Barrett wins tomorrow. I won't be able to stomach a Cena victory with the stipulation that the Nexus will be disbanded.
  23. RIP Greg Giraldo. You'll be missed =\

  24. Dragging Kane/Taker on until Wrestlemania would make the storyline incredibly stale and boring in my opinion.
  25. Glad to see I wasn't the only one who didn't fare too well guessing last night. I like how I was wrong with most of the matches but guessed the Six Pack match correctly.
