It really irritates me when the WWE says how great a high flyer Rey Mysterio is. Years ago he was an amazing talent when it came to high risk, top rope moves. Now, he does, what, two "high flying" moves: that dumb seated senton and the splash. That's IT. I understand the man is older and injuries have taken their toll on him, that doesn't bother me. But it's insulting to be told how great he is when he, frankly, isn't anymore. Hell, all his matches just consist of him getting dominated for the majority of the match, before coming back, hitting the same spots, and winning. But that's just because he's an "underdog" right? He's nothing more than Smackdown's Cena. It's even more insulting to hear him called the greatest high flyer in WWE history (from Striker I believe on Bragging Rights), when his time as one of the most exciting and daring wrestlers was when he was in WCW, not WWE. The same can be said about Evan Bourne (regarding the high flying abilities). All the kid does is do one of his 7 variations of a kick, get dominated, then hit the only high flying move he knows. Thank god he doesn't win nearly as often as Mysterio does. Anyways, it just really sickens me to hear how amazing some of the present day wrestlers are as "high flyers" when they're really not. Sure, it could just be the WWE phasing out the exciting, risky, high flying moves, but still. It irks me... alot.
